SITUATION: A mass of (insert bad guy here) have begun a full scale invasion. You go off to do your thing, but in the chaos, you lose your trusty knife. Fortunately, you find a huge deserted knife shop that has every knife ever made in it. You can only choose one, so choose wisely! TL;DR - pick your favorite knife. Price isn't a problem. My choice would be the Mark I trench knife. It has a good size blade, a spike on the end to smash (insert badguy) skulls and brass knuckles. Pic.

M4 Bayonet.
Because It mounts on my M1 Carbine, and it's the only rifle I would carry that doens't have a bayonet yet (other than my Marlin 336 or 39A)

Personally, I'd like a Fairbairn-Sykes fighting knife, a British honey designed specifically for fighting, not for utility. It eliminated many a Nazi sentry in WW2.

M9 Bayonet with a Eight Dollar Mountain Foundry aftermarket handle on it. Pure sexy.

Either the KM2000 Bunswehr knife, or the good ol' fashioned Kabar. Probably have my Schrade as a backup.

I know relatively little about blades, but that article is full of tripe. In the end, it's an upscaled FS fighting knife, which Nagase mentioned earlier. Not Asian AT ALL. It's a gigantic stiletto.

Fresnel I know relatively little about blades, but that article is full of tripe. In the end, it's an upscaled FS fighting knife, which Nagase mentioned earlier. Not Asian AT ALL. It's a gigantic stiletto. The FS isn't a stiletto, though, so how could it be a scaled up FS and a gigantic stiletto both? A stiletto is a stabbing knife with no cutting edge, while the FS knife is double edged for ease of slitting a sentries throat.

I'd pick the trench knife too, or a KA-BAR.
Blunt end, blunt damage.

But really, I was reading other Wiki pages about similar stilettos based on the FS knife and got mixed up.

I wouldn't be me if I didn't say Glock 78 Field Knife:
http://www.helstongunsmiths.com/shop/images/glock-field-knife.jpg
Light, great sheath, tough and sharp blade, and balanced for throwing. I have the Glock 81, the knife with the serrations in OD green. But if I were to get another it'd be without the serrations--they're useless. I've been wanting a K-BAR one of these days, though.
In before, "What if it kBs?"
EDIT: Damn you Gaia, why can't I hotlink pictures anymore? You hereby suck.

A 24", 4lb kukri. Despite the fact that it's closer to an axe than a knife, it's still technically classified as a knife.
That can behead you.

In fact, there's a place where I can buy one. Just need to get my damned ID..... stare Although I don't want to see my parent's reaction when I walk into the house with a foot-long curved Nepalese knife in my hands.

THIS is the beast of well-made kukri. However, it's really heavy, so for most people I'd recommend a smaller kukri.
