I think that God is just a custom, like holidays. Long ago, people needed to find a reason as to why they were on the planet, and so they started believing in one or more God(s). God possibly is real, we'll never know, but if God is real, I don't think he ever spoke to anyone. In (Jewish) elementary they taught us that God stopped speaking to people a while ago because we became less pure or something, but I don't believe that people sin anymore nowadays then they did before.

I think God only exists cuz we want him to exist.cuz most humans can`t imagine a world without God.

-takes a deep breath-
okay...
this question has plagued man since the beginning of civilization
my answer is this:
if you believe God exists, then yes, God exists because if you are firm in your belief, no matter what anybody tells you, you are going to believe that God exists...
the same thing applies to those who firmly believe that God doesn't exist. no matter what anyone tells you, you will believe that God doesn't exist
i personally believe in God, but not the way most Christians believe in God
i'm just gonna leave it at that because i can elaborate on this subject all day and i'm sure nobody wants to take time out of their day to read 75 pages about my beliefs

Betrayer Jesus? I'm not even going to ask...anyways, I believe in God, and as for why he lets us suffer: God could easily have told us what to do and make us do it, but He loves us so much, that he gave us free will, to choose to follow him or not, and do what we want. Well, at least that's what I believe. I'm a christian, but not a 'churchian,' if that makes any sense.

@ Xemry and Light that Shines - truth is never relative. A firm belief in something does not make it true. If I firmly believe there is no gravity, I'm being stupid and ignorant because it's a proven fact that gravity exists. Don't get me wrong, here, I'm not saying that people who believe in God are stupid and ignorant. I'm just trying to illustrate that truth is not relative. x=x. x cannot be x and not x at the same time. That would defeat the purpose of calling it x. Just like a stapler is a stapler. A stapler cannot be a stapler and not a stapler at the same time. Truth is not relative. There is no in between. Either God must exist, or God must not exist.
@ Temporary_illusion - How is Jesus a betrayer?
@ Saikyo Joe - Amen.

For me, personally, no I do not believe he exists because he/it/whatever is not a form that I take recognition in. The idea doesn't tickle my fancy.
If others believe then let them believe. To each their own.

You cant correct it becuase the bible is the other story and my religions story is almost completly diffrent from the bibles version which praises him where as ours scorns him and makes him the public enemey
in all actuality the only way i could tell you is if your open to believe something that sounds like something out of a fantasy/sci-fi book ?

No if it was I wouldn’t be stupid enough to come here and tell you guys that its a religion.
To put it simply unlike I was about to do, your Jesus was born where the bible said he was but Marry was not a god believing women she was actually Nevarien and instead pretended. According to Nevarien law the Mothers clan has complete custody and control over the child and so they decided to take him away from her before his fathers religion claimed him and snuffed out any hope of a new Nevarien (A child of the same age and appearance replaced him for the time being). He resented this existence though and it was soon apparent that he had never believed the Nevarien religion and that he had only believed in god from the start. Eventually his anger towards us came to the point where he burnt down the sacred Mother temple and murdered three young priestess, he was caught though and was awaiting trial by the current Empress herself when he escaped and fled back to his father and mother who was soon converted (because of that she was disowned by her own mother and father and banished)
This is the simpler version, I have left out several other things which are not key but have a big impact on his already bad reputation among the clans

You're right. It does sound like a sci-fi novel. Who came up with Nevarien religion?

If God is real, wouldn't he make himself known more back in the early days? As I understand it, he was only known in Bethlaham, Jeruslam, and around there. Why wouldn't he make himslef known in Europe, Asia, and the Americas?
