Salam Aleykum! Just out of curiosity, how many of you actually say Salam Aleykum or Salam when you answer the phone to people or answer your door? wink

I do biggrin Also to my own family ^_^

But it can also be a non-muslim, so then i say hello instead razz

I think maybe most people only say Salam Aleykum if they're for sure it's like a relative or someone they know is also a muslim razz I don't say it when I answer the phone at all tho rofl I'm so used to saying hi

I usually do if they are Muslim, but otherwise I just say hello.

well sadly i am used to saying hello when i attend the phone sad
but i say AslamuAlaykum to every one i meet, well there are a few non-muslims who greet me the islamic way so i greet them with the islamic way too biggrin

when I was in the U.S. in the summer I was walking and walked past a muslim family, and said Salam to them smile they seemed pleased 4laugh
I get to go again in December smile woo hoo for vacations!!!

This is one of the best things of our religion, we get blessings from people who don't even know us 4laugh

even if i say salam to people who don't like me, they reply wasalam 4laugh

yeah you feel like you have an instant kinship with all of muslim brothers and sisters you keep meeting every day smile even just my neighbors are wonderful to say Salam to, that's how I started being more friendly with them, and they're wonderful! smile

Well, what u guys think about Allah Hafiz, and Krudar Hafiz.

In my family i say krudar hafiz, on gaia Allah hafiz. What is right?????

Krudar = god in farci, urdu, hindi, pastho.

I don't say salam to people.

If you guys knew where it came from you wouldn't say it either.

Old-Persian/farci it's speeched kruda.

The propthet said Assalam Alalykum, right? Just because some arabs said it beffore i wont have it as a bad word...

While Allah tells us to say salam.

I usually say Allah Hafiz but I said to to some arabs here and they were confused, so I've learned to also say Masallama 4laugh
