How to start an ABR Showdown!
Stage 1
There are two ways these showdowns can start
A Fire is Born. -Two people with the flame of inspiration in their hearts, and burning to rip something...ANYTHING to shreds, find each other and agree to battle to the death inside this thread.
A Challenge is Made. -Looking for a good scrap? Then come here and post up an open challenge. Open challenges are first come first served and so you and the first dueler to take you up on your offer will do battle.
Once a showdown is agreed upon, both fighters roll a D10 to detemine who gets to make the first action in the Showdown.
ex: ABR member 1: Hey peeps, Im reddy to duelzzzz lol! (rolls 4) ABR member 2 quoting the invitation: I challenge you sucka!(rolls 10) edit: haha I go first b***h!
Stage 2
The higher roller creates their own thread where this showdown is to be carried out. The title of the thread must communicate that its purpose is to stage a fight between its said participants.
ex: "The God Emperor of Man vs. Zen Rider: Showdown of Epic Proportions!"
Immediately before the fight, both of the fighters' first post should depict themselves in a cool/threatening/awesome pose as a form of "stare-down" before the showdown.
Stage 3
And then it begins.....
The rules for a showdown are as follows:
-The fighters take turns posting like they would in an exchange in the normal ABR.
-There must be AT LEAST 4 turns total but a showdown doesn't have a maximum limit as long as both participant agree to complete he same amount of turns. A turn can range anywhere from a simple attack, or taunt, or whatever, to a full on comic book action sequence. Bottom line, each artist/fighter has AT LEAST 2 turns to have their say in the fight.
-After the LAST turn, both fighters reply with a d20 roll (This is unless both fighters agree to keep fighting for a set new number of turns).
The fighter with the higher roll wins the fight, and concludes it however they please. In the event of a tie, a mod will come in with some sort of catastrophic event/impending doom that will end both fighter's lives. Both people lose in a tie!
(so really, there are at least 5 turns total, not 4.)
Stage 4?
-At the very end of each Showdown, the threads shall be locked and archived in the picture post for all to go back and view the awesomeness that ensued in the past!
So let's get started!
