I greet you the Islamic way AslumAlaykum wa rehmatulla wa barakat-hu
I just want to ask a few questions to my fellow Christian brothers which are as follows :
Q1: Why do you resemble trinity with water and its three states (that are liquid, solid and gas)
Q2: Is the word trinity itself present or explained in bible?
Please explain.

Wsalam Tassan bhai long time no see, kia hal hain razz
When I was a christian, I read the bible (really really boring and hard to read btw) sweatdrop and I never actually saw any reference to the holy trinity at all, I'm not sure why Christians associate the holy trinity at all really, but I understand what the trinity is, the father=God the Son=Jesus/Hz. Isa (pbuh) the Holy Spirit= the Holy Ghost
Though of course it's rubbish considering we shouldn't acknowledge or put any partners with Allah mrgreen I'm not sure about anything on why the trinity is resembled by water, cause I've actually never heard of it, but they use water to baptize, in which; depending on each branch of the Christian faith they either sprinkle water on a baby, or immerse a young person in water in order to take the 'holy ghost' upon you as a sort of guiding spirit, when I was 9 I was baptized by immersion because I was raised in the mormon faith wich beleives in baptism by immersion, but I think almost all of the other faiths do it by sprinkleing water on a small baby smile I know the Christian faiths do a lot of funny things sometimes lol feel free to ask me if you need any input, or info on that kind of stuff tho, I'm always happy to help 4laugh

sorry bro smile it's the way I learned it, and the best way I could really describe it really, the way the mormon church believes and teach is fairly different from the other Christian faiths, but I've only been to a catholic church a couple of times, and the service was in Spanish so I couldn't really understand any of it, and I went a few times to a Baptist church, but again it was a little difficult for me to really understand and to grasp. Hope you're doing well btw.

Ahan, though its not what i am seeking, but its good to know new things, thanks for the info, and again i am sorry, it does not seem funny to me. don't mind. If you ask a christian why they consider Jesus as God, some of them will say they don't and it gets into quite an interesting discussion, because they go around in circles about it quite a bit, but it never really made sense to me either. Sorry about saying it's rubbish, smile I wrote that without really thinking about it, I was trying to figure the right word to put it properly. Though when I was a Christian, I sort of stopped being very religious by the time I was 15 or so, I've forgotten quite a bit sweatdrop but when it comes to certain stories in the bible etc I remember some things, though what exactly was the answer you were seeking about? was it the beleief of water and the association of it with the trinity? the whole trinity beleife is just that, God, Jesus (pbuh), and the Holy Ghost but I'm not sure why so many Christians beleive that Jesus is God, a lot of them will say they don't beleive he IS God, but rather they beleive that he is the son of God and the saviour of the world, again it's another thing that also sort of varies with the different Christian religions there are, though unfortunately I can't really throw any light on the water subject because it was never a part of what I learned growing up, you'd have to ask someone who is a catholic perhaps or some of the other Christian faiths simply because the mormon faith dosen't follow all of the same docterines smile though if you ever want info on the mormon church, I can certainly throw a lot of light on those subjects, good luck on finding your answers bhai

Thanks again for the info, well what i am seeking is, that some Christian use the 'example' of water because it has three states, and trinity is in three states as well, i did not mean to say that its some where in bible or a part of it.
and i thought that son, father and holy spirit was god? :S *confused*
thankyou sis biggrin

lol it's a little bit confusing sometimes. the thing about Christianity is there are a lot of contradictions smile I found myself very confused a lot of times, and whenever I'd as a question, I'd get some conflicting answers

I think the trinity concept is found more in spoken and cermonial tradition and not the bible itself (of course I could be wrong). That said Jesus was the form of limited to a physcial body in the flesh and blood sense. God was most akin to the human soul. The holy spirit was't so much a spirit (I hear spirit and I think sould or a creature somewhere between flesh and blood form and soul form) anyhow I would say the holy spirit is something akin to an elemental force or a collective form/subconcius connecting all people (something akin to the gaia concept). Hmm as for the water forms... Jesus=ice, not sure about the other two guessing God is like water (is less concrete form then Jesus but not less concreate then steam I figure) and holy spirit is like steam.
