Death Note AMV?

I have been reading the manga for Death Note
and once I got far enough in the manga I wanted to do some kind of dedication to Ruuzaki/L
XD I found a great song to go with it
=.= the only bad thing is there is no anime to it yet.... I'm sad...
I was wondering if i should go on and just animate Death Note for the one AMV I'm making.
What do you guys think?
Should I try?

I have thought about making a "MMV" before. I did a quick video for a webcomic that I read as a birthday present for the author.

It can be done, I would say give it a try!

If they have Seishiga MADs (or whatever they call 'em) why not MMVs? I recommend you colourize your scans first, though.

Oh about that
I know it is Just a manga at the time...
I am going to animate a few seens to a song.
but it will take a while.. considering I'm still in school.
I will make a rough draft AMV (or MMV) first though

There's a beta of a program called Recolored [sic] available. There's a thread about it on the HypeOdermic Studios forum, and a thread about it on Something Awful.
