It doesn't matter how many families I make, how many people are in it, male female etc .... They end up either bald or with buzz cuts. WTF!? How do I fix this?

I have never encountered this problem before...

It might be the lot you are on, actually. That looks like a glitch I often get when I visit the Sadium or a lot that has bunches of water.

Do you have the GMA 950 graphics card? I do, and my sims only turn bald when I zoom in too close.

This certainly seems like a graphics issue. Have you tried updating your drivers?
PostPosted: Thu Nov 12, 2009 2:46 pm
I don't know what kind of graphics I have, nor do I know how to upgrade them. Help?

I assume you are running a Windows machine?

If so, open the start menu and type dxdiag into the Run box. After a few moment this should open a window with information about your machine including what graphics it runs and what version driver you have.

Click on the display tab, this will give your your graphics card details. All you have to do then is search online for your card name. It would be best to search for the manufacturer website and then look for drivers there.

The important info you need from that is:

Card Name: NVIDIA GeForce 7300 LE
Manufacturer: NVIDIA
Driver Date/Size: 6/16/2006

Go to the NVIDIA website http://www.nvidia.co.uk/page/home.html and click on 'Download Drivers' in the nav bar across the top.
Fill in the drop down boxes and click SEARCH, it should take you to a download page for newer drivers for your graphics card.
Or click the GRAPHIC DRIVERS button in option 2.

You are still using a version from 2006.

Wow. So I did that. Dowloaded a different one .... My sims won't load at all. Like ... I click on the play icon, and then that's it ......... Doesn't load or anything.

Okay. I had to uninstall my drivers and reload the one I had before. The one I had downloaded today made my windows crash ..... Not good sad

I guess your only option now then is to contact EA customer support.

Sorry my advice made your problems worse. I know some other people used to have problems with NVIDIA when playing Sims 2. The latest drivers always crashed the game so they had to use the previous, nearly most recent version.

There's something wrong with your memory, you probably don't have enough.
I had that problem, I got more memory, now it's fine.
