Gold eyes looked around before falling onto the female beside him oh how he loather her. First he's running after from prey and her she comes snatching it from him. That was just the beginning. Though she had shared the meal her eyes he hated them the bored into him like she was looking at his soul picking at it. He let out a growl remembering how those eyes where becoming his downfall.
He had been perfectly fine to leave her there but they seemed to be heading in the same direction! Sure he could have changed but that would give her the satisfaction in winning and he being the strong built male he was would not let her win that easily.
He looked to the females printed legs and shoulder he watched as she walked as he glared wholes into her back if he could that's when she caught him starring at her as she glared at him he quickly looked away growled as he began to move faster ahead of her as he put some distance between them his heart was racing now why did he care he was caught looking at her?

Every step of the way with this male was infuriating and challenging. Not once in her life had Shula disdained the company of a male more than she did now. He was infuriating, and he challenged her every step of the way. She always caught him staring at her, and she was almost ready to just tell him to stop following her out of sheer frustration.
But then, that gleeful moment. She recognized this area, and right there, a stray breeze carried the heady scent of her pride towards her. She was so close to home now! At last, she would be back in the pride! Back with Sultan Aali! She could only hope to remain in his harem this time. Her recently deceased Pad had been kind, but she felt it was the Sultan she belonged with...
She could only hope he would be the one she would meet here on the borders of the pride.

Aali was indeed patrolling along the prides borders, he moved with a brisk pace but paused and blinked looking out curiously as he spotted two distant shapes. Male and female, another male wishing to join them perhaps? He paused and stood watching with narrowed blue eyes, yet he remained alone unconcerned that he might be outnumbered.
Slowly the females shape became familiar to him, yes she had been one of his own Banu long ago, but he had given her to a Pad before he left on an attempt at a lone raid. Yet the male in the distance was not the same pad, he frowned wondering what had happened, what it could mean.

Gold eyes looked ahead as he stopped suddenly seeing the other male he looked to the female a moment wondering if she knew him. When she didn't seem to stop he decided they they had reached the pride she was talking about. He began to move slowly at first as if cautious. He then brushed it off he was larger then this male and he didn't seem to be posing any threat to him or the ni-... evil vile female beside him. He thought catching himself before he praised her she didn't deserve it. He thought his eyes glaring slightly at the female before looking to the male.
He nevertheless bowed his head respectfully to the male. He then looked to the female waiting for her to speak to explain what he was here for. He watched her closely the way she moved the way she spoke the way she carried herself it was not intoxicating he told himself. He sighed heavily before looking away from her finally before he could be called out on oggeling her. That just what he needed right now.
He then stretched out boredly before this is when he noticed the male...looked interestingly towards the girl he let out a sharp growl as if warning the male. He then stopped himself looking away quickly.
He didn't just do that did he? He asked himself as he was glad for his dark pelt that would his hid blush for doing something that he had no idea he was capable of.

And as soon as Shula was in front of the Sultan, she quickly bowed her head, her ears pressed back and her eyes lowered. Oh how she had missed this, humbling herself before him.
"Sultan Aali... I've returned."
It was all she could say. She didn't dare speak more without being given permission, not in front of her Sultan. And it wasn't as though she needed to say more. That she had come back without her Pad... It was obvious something had gone wrong.

As glad as he was to see Shula return he threw a mild glare at the male for his growl. Best to address him first and then ask questions of Shula after, though he was desperate to hear her tale.
"Welcome to my pride stranger, no need for hostility, if you have claimed Shula are your banu we would not dream of trying to take her from you. The Ukuucha'Wafalme is greatful to you for returning one of our most beloved banu's back to us. I am Sultan Aali, come, you both must have been traveling sometime you must be thirsty."
He turned his back to the male as a sign of trust and headed deeper into the pride and the great lake. He glanced back at Shula and gave a mild frown. "As good as it is to see you Shula, I should like to know what happened...you return with a new Pad...why?" Of course he knew, Shula was no Kajira who would run away from her Pad, no something had happened, something bad.

Damu was taken aback by his words. He was so easily assumed as joining Shula had told him all about the pride. He looked to the ground a moment before moving to follow the male into the pride. So he was not only a pad himself but the Sultan...the growl probably was not the best thing to have done but he had not know who the other was and till he heard her speak he assumed he was just a simple guard.
His eyes looked to the female before smirking a little yes this was going to work he was going to get her and get her good.
"She told me he was killed trying to get some things from another pride foolish if you ask me going in alone." He spat out before looking to the female. "No offense love." He said looking to as he did the word love seemed to be poison coming from his lips that would no doubt torture her very core for how well he pulled off the loving expression on his face.
"By the way...She is mine." He said looking to the sultan. "But she may speak to you give you more detail." He said given the male a nod now. "Excuse me for my actions earlier I did not know you where the Sultan." He said with a small smirk.
"I just care for her deeply." Again he sounded as if he did honestly speak the truth.

Shula very nearly bristled when the male claimed her. She was not his possession! If she belonged to anyone, it was her Sultan. Not this strange male. But she dared not speak against him in front of Sultan Aali. Instead, she settled with sending the male a venomous glare the second the Sultan's back was turned on her.
"The raid... The guards were alerted too earlier. My Pad was killed during the raid. I narrowly escaped with my own life, and began my journey here. My journey home."

"Ah I can understand your protection of her if you have had to come so far together, Shula is very special I am glad you will be taking her in. We have more new Pads who have joined us from afar, they have all settled well in the pride, I hope you will be able to do the same." He nodded and stopped beside the lake to sit with a soft sigh.
"I am sorry for your loss Shula, but I am glad you have found such a good new Pad to return with, your demise would have been another unneeded tragedy. It's good to see you again..." He might have said more, but now was the time to remind himself that she belonged to another. He would need to be careful, put the past behind him lest he burn himself with his, no not his, lovely flame.
He turned his attention to Damu instead, "was your journey difficult?"

He filled his bell as much as he needed of the water before moving to turn to the sultan nodding softly. "Yes extremely. Been traveling since I was rather young when I left my home I didn't fit in and I didn't hate it there I love my family and my pride but I just couldn't focus..." He said as he stretched out before looking to the sultan curiously.
"Though I believe I will be very happy here." He said before looking to Shula giving her a dashing smile though his eyes said something else entirely. They seemed to be daring her to do something to see just what his limits where with her.

Oh, but she wouldn't dare. Not in front of the Sultan; not in front of the master she'd risked everything for by returning. She wouldn't disrespect him by defying this infuriating male. So instead, she bent down and silently lapped at the water from the lake in front of her.
She would certainly show this male just how much personality she really had when her Sultan's eyes were no longer upon them. Even for the Pads here, his ego was far too big.

"I do hope you will be, and with Shula as your banu I'm sure you'll quickly become well adjusted to the pride. Why she's practically the perfect beybanu, but of course that choice is yours to make." He chuckled softly and smiled at Shula.
"You must help our new friend?" He turned to the other male for his name.

"Damu...Damudours'vlam." He said with a bow to the male. "I come from the lands of sand and heat." His eyes looked to the sun curiously seeing it setting behind the horizon in the far distance.
"Thank you for accepting me and my Banu." He said with a smile as he looked to the female. "I'm sure she's eager to return to the lands...Shall we?" He said moving over to her side brushing against it slowly.
"Shall we go home?"

"Home sounds wonderful, Pad Damu, Shula said lightly, glancing at the male almost venomously. Home did indeed sound wonderful. But her true home was with the Sultan. Not this strange male.

"Ahh wonderful, some of our females came from lands that were much cooler and find our heat a bit stifling, I hope you find it more like home. Yes yes, you may occupy Shula's former Pad's den since it appears he will not be returning. Shula you may show him the way, I'm sure you'll both be settled in no time."
He tipped his head with a smile "It will be a pleasure having you Damu, feel free to seek me out if you require anything. Shula...take care...I'm sure the other banu will be pleased to see you once your Pad is settled." He took one last drink from the lake before turning away lest his eyes linger any longer on Shula.
Giving her up the first time had been hard, a lesson of forming alliances, knowing she had been free to claim...and then re-claimed was a lesson in loss. Still he had six lovely banu and he would not begrudge a new male in search of a home the joy that Shula could bring.
