Shorter and shorter, colder and colder, the days came to a close way to soon for Mollie's tastes. It didn't giver her cubs enough time to play, thus Afsar was always tailing her, asking for a story. Molemogi was running out of stories to tell and she didn't know what else to do with the cubs. Shaking her head slowly, the almost adult female stretch out carefully and then looked to her little pale shadow.

Afsar was forever behind her mother. She was happy to be a shadow, even if nothing was going on. She just liked stories more than nothing, so she always asked for them. Her green eyes scanned around to see where they were. A part of the pride she didn't know! Near the borders? Maybe they'd see daddy! Or even the Sultan! Skipping head of her mother with a bit of a giggle, she sniffed around some rocks and blinked. "Momma, there's so many scents!"

Aali was doing a round of patrols and enjoying the day, but he looked even more forward to heading back home where his beloved cubs and banu waited. Some might be overwhelmed by having fourteen cubs all eager for attention and affection, but Aali felt so deeply adoring of his children that there was no burden in staying up and playing with them and revealing their mothers of duties for a small time. For now however his ice blue gaze slowly roamed to and fro his nose twitching as he ensured the safety of his lands.

His head rose and he smiled softly at the sight of a banu and her cub in the distance. Still she was getting a little close to the borders, perhaps warning her and offering escort deeper into the prides lands would be appropriate. He nodded and headed in her direction smiling when he realized it was Pad Vu's lovely Banu and new mother, Mollie.

"Afsar, do not wander away from me!" Mollie called after her daughter, frowning softly. Her daughter was such a pawful all the time! If it wasn't bickering with the second oldest girl, it was bickering with her brother Harb, or sneaking away from the den. In all honestly, Mollie was frazzled. She was such a young mother without any kind of parenting skills. Her own father didn't take good care of her; never spoke to him. And she didn't even know her mother. Licking her muzzle, she sighed when Afsar didn't listen to her and she broke into a jog to get her daughter by the scruff of her neck.

When her mother scooped her up, Afsar whined and whimpered. Why did momma always ruin her fun? She just wanted to play and wander around, was that so wrong?! After all, she wanted to get familiar with her pride and all the members in it. It would have been so perfect if she wasn't in her mother's mouth. Wriggling and sighing, she finally spoke; "Momma, put me down! I want to play!"

Aali chuckled as he came upon the two and shook his head with a soft smile. "You should mind your mother young one, your close to the borders and wandering would be dangerous."

He sat down and gave Mollie a soft tip of his head. "Would you like an escort back Mollie? I had the pleasure of running into your Pad and your dear little girl Zarha , but I have yet to meet your other cubs."

When Mollie looked up to the voice, she bowed her head low enough to let Afsar touch the ground and dropped the cub at her paws, keeping one paw on her daughter's tail. "Hello, Sultan Aali. I was... going to see if I could find my Pad along the inner borders. This one," she motioned to the little Vu clone, "wanted to come with me and would not take no for an answer." She sighed softly and looked down to her daughter, not sure what to do now that the Sultan was here. It would be rude to turn him down for an escort.

Afsar's eyes went wide as her mother talked to the Sultan with such ease! With a giggle, she attempted to get away, but fell on her stomach when her mother's paw didn't come off her tail. Sending a glare towards her mother, she looked up at the big Sultan and grinned. "You met Zarha? I'm Afsar! The oldest of momma's cubs!" She made sure her voice was proud, her little chest puffing out. "Do you know a boy named Ilyas, Sultan Aali? Can you tell me stories about him?" That's when Mollie's other paw came across her mouth, in an attempt to shush her.

Aali was stunned for a moment before chuckling softly and glancing at Mollie. "Outspoken isn't she?" He nodded at Afsar and smiled, "Why yes I do, Ilyas is my nephew, a very fine Pesar and I'm sure he'll be a very fine Pad someday."

He turned his attentions back to Mollie looking amused. "Ah well if you with to find Pad Vu I can accompany you? I simply wouldn't want you so close to the outskirts alone, and especially not with your lovely and insistent daughter." He held back a soft laugh.

The elder female sighed at her daughter and her brows knitted together. This is why she could never take an of her children anywhere. They would get her into trouble and make things awkward and uncomfortable. Shuffling from side to side, Mollie nodded a bit more. It would be better to have an escort to get to her Pad. It would make her feel a bit better about Afsar going with them as well. "I'm sorry about Afsar, Sultan. I do not know what to do with them. .....My own parents didn't teach me, and my Pad's certainly did not. ...I wish ....Pad Vu had another Banu to help me. Banu O'tep... has given me a few tips," but they weren't workin. O'tep had more Banu's helping her.

Afsar grinned and looked to the Sultan and then to momma. If she didn't know any better, she'd say they were flirting. "Let's go see daddy! I'm sure he would want to see the Sultan!" She'd kill Zarha for not telling her she'd seen the Sultan before Afsar! Oh, that sneaky rat.

Aali watched Mollie a moment and held back a frown, he had wondered how Vu fared with only one female in his harem. Poor Mollie must be tired, still all he could do was suggest to Vu that perhaps another female might ease the burdens of his home. He mentally sifted through things before focusing his attentions again on the young Banu, granted both were young.

"You are doing well on your own Mollie, you can always feel free to bring them to the other banu for a little playtime, that way you can have some time to relax as well? I know many of the banu who are not yet mothers would relish the chance to spend some time with the cubs." He offered before standing and heading out a bit further hoping to find Vu on patrol.

He'd given her excellent advice. Maybe she could get with O'tep for a much, much needed playdate. With a heavy sigh, she motioned her every curious daughter to follow her and the Sultan, sending her a look that said she'd been in trouble if she acted up. "Your words are kind, Sultan. Thank you. I might just ask the Banu O'tep if she would like a play date." Honestly, O'tep was the only one she knew.

Afsar reluctantly followed the big male and her mother, swatting at their tails rather boredly. "Sultan!" She darted in front of him, grinning widely. "Do you have any daughters I can play with? Think they could help me become a good Banu like my momma?"

Aali felt for Mollie, she was still young and perhaps needed a little more help adjusting then Vu had. Still not much he could do for her but offer advice, and of course he would see if his own beloved Banu wished to lend her a paw. With five females to help out with Aysel and Taja's litters and some of them still not getting as much sleep as they used to, he could only imagine how Mollie felt.

He chuckled and stepped over Afsar moving onward while answering her question. "Yes, I have quite a few daughters, and nieces, I'm sure they would all love to play with you. I'm sure if you pay attention to your mama, you'll be a great banu." Energetic, but great, after all having a little extra energy was appreciated sometimes.

Mollie just sighed as Afsar tried to stop the Sultan and she moved right along, giving her daughter a bit of a nudge to follow along. What gave Aali the idea that Mollie was a great Beybanu? She wasn't sure, but his words warmed her, made her stand a bit taller. "I shall be alright. Maybe as they get older... their energy will fizzle out." Though she doubted it with how Vu turned out.

Afsar blinked as she was walked over and then giggled at the nudge, walking right along, listening. So she had to pay attention and act like momma to be a Banu Pads could be proud of! That... was so boring. But she would do it, if that's what she absolutely had too. "Sultan Aali, momma told me that you thought she would run away when her and Daddy first joined. Why's that?"

Aali almost paused but instead he managed to only throw a small glance at the cub, my my but she was inquisitive wasn't she. He hoped whoever her Pad ended up being was high spirited as well.

"Sometimes new Banu find their roles difficult to adjust to, they lack loyalty to their Pad's, they don't understand and fear makes them run when instead they should turn to those who care for them. Your mama isn't like that though, she rose to the occasion and I think her devotion to your father is very clear and genuine, that's what makes a good banu."

Mollie... could have cuffed her daughter. Her head was starting to hurt and her brows knitted together as she hissed out an 'Afsar' as a warning. She was at the point that she wanted to just cry right now, her nerves were getting shot left and right and her cubs were so energetic. Gods above, she loved them all, but she would talk to Vu about finding a female to help her out. And soon. "Forgive her, Sultan.. I'll teach her better," she whispered softly, sighing yet again.

Afsar looked up to her mother and blinked, brows knitting together as she took in her mother's expression. Her mother looked bad right now. Not mad, just ....defeated. Afsar knew she'd done to much and shut up, looking to the side before nuzzling up to her mother. "Sorry, momma," she whispered against her mother's leg.

"Don't worry Mollie, your girls are lovely, I think you just need a little time to yourself to relax, and they need an outlet for all their extra energy." He smiled at them both reassuringly. He continued along the outskirts of the prides territory and inhaled, mmm Vu was probably close.

He was glad he had a chance to speak with Mollie and understand how overburdened she felt. He would need to speak with his own Banu now to try and find a solution, but that was after all his duty to his pride.

Seeing how her Sutlain was right, Mollie tired to relax a bit and then looked down to her daughter. Giving Afsar a quick smile, those green eyes went to the landscape again, looking for her mate. From there, she knew, that Aali could go back to what he was doing and Vu would take them where they needed to be.

Listening to the Sultan and seeing the way her mother acted, Afsar began to question the way she acted. She should be more like momma. Isn't that what Aali had said? But she was just a cub, why should she act like an adult? The inner battle with the female was forgotten as she picked up her father's scent.

Aali smiled as he picked out Vu's shape in the distance, "Ahh there we are, now you two should be just fine." He walked with them a little further just until Vu could see them as well.

He turned to glance at Afsar and cleared his throat to catch her attention. "Do mind your mother now Afsar, a good banu knows how to pay attention to her surroundings and react to them." He smiled back at Mollie. " It's been a pleasure to escort you both, I'll try and send one of my banu to lend you a paw Mollie, take care."

Mollie smiled a bit at the advice Aali had given Afsar. With a chuckle, she nodded her head in a low bow and motioned for her daughter to do the same. "The pleasure was mine, sir. And thank you for your help and your generosity. I might actually take you up on the offer with help. Thank you so much." Turning away, she called out for her mate and padded a bit faster to get to him.

Nodding happily, Afasr took his advice to heart. She would listen to her mother from now and always! Bowing her head, mimicking her mother, she turned tail and run before yelling out a huge, "Thank you!" too Aali.
