Obadias was wrapped up in his own thoughts. He had slept well the previous night for the first time in a long while, no visions haunting him. It was confusing. Why that night? Why had the flashes left him be? He hated not knowing what caused the flashes, even more when they filled his every night, but the night of peacefulness was confusing. Why had it happened? He had been glad when he woke after a whole night of sleep but, he didn't want to be stuck not knowing why it happened. Maybe if he knew, than he could continue to sleep peacefully every night.
Glancing up as he stepped on a branch which whipped up and hit his leg. Yowling, he stepped back quickly, leaning down to nuzzle his leg where he'd hit it. Looking around, he frowned at his surroundings...where was he?
He hadn't wandered this far before and he didn't even know which direction he had been walking in. He could see the great lake in the distance but that was all, other than unfamiliar terrain.
He had to be near the borders of the Ukuucha Wafalme lands, since he had never seen this part before. Obadias had wandered the immediate area of the pride before, several times in fits of restlessness but he had never gone this far before.
He should have turned back, gone further in land but instead, he moved further towards the borders. What was out there?

Mihika never seemed to stop moving. Her whole life involved traveling through the unknown where she fought to survive. Hazel eyes skimmed over the land as she watched for any signs of movement. Was it safe?
The young leopardess swallowed. Maybe she should just try hiding here? She was still full from the food she had snatched just recently too...so there was no need to run about. Was there? Food was always something nice to have, Mihika flushed thinking about her usual starving state. So far she had been lucky in finding prey and left overs.
"Nah." Mihika sniffed. "I'll keep moving." The need to move was strong this time and like always the juvenile obeyed the instinct. Crouching low she moved through the unknown lands.

Obadias was surprised at his own daring. His father would not be pleased if he found out how close to the border he was. It was dangerous in the rogue lands, especially as a young cub alone. Anyone could pass the borders and attack Obadias, but still he moved closer to the edge.
As he moved, the scent of the Sultan was starting to fade and he froze as it was almost nonexistent. He was at the very edge now, he had to be. Taking a few steps back, mostly out of paranoia, he stared at his feet. Did he really want to go further?
No.
He didn't want to leave the pride. He crawled into a rock at the edge, he used his dark colouring to try and blend into the rock. Glancing around, his eyes were narrowed slightly. He was curious. What else was out there? He didn't dare go out there, but it didn't mean he couldn't look.

Mihika sighed as she trudged along. She really was getting tired by now and the cub couldn't help but to eye what appeared to be a rock just in the distance.
It was pretty big...maybe big enough for her use to hide? Just in case there was a pride somewhere nearby or that she was indeed in another's territory. Mihika shivered at the thought. She remembered too well what happened to even a cub that was trespassing in a grump's land.
Still her paws were screaming and Mihika decided that the rock was worth the risk. Like a bolt of lightening the leopard darted straight towards the rock.

Obadias eyed the landscape beyond the pride borders. It looked almost the same as a pride. It was just as nice and it had the same features. Trees, grass, dirt, rocks, and a sky with a beautiful horizon. Was it really dangerous out there? He would have to leave when he was older, he'd have to go out there. He had to know how to survive. Looking was a good thing then, he'd know what to expect.
When movement caught his eye, he held his breath and tucked himself further against the rock. It was another creature. A cat. She looked like one of the banus but he knew she wasn't a lioness. What was she?
Panicking when he spotted her bolting towards his hiding spot, his rock, he scrambled backwards, unintentionally giving away his position. He dropped down onto the ground by the rock, preparing to run back to the pride, but something made him pause. He glanced back, wondering what she was doing so close to their lands.

"Eee!"
Mihika's tripped over her paws in a sudden stop. Something was out there! The young leopard's breathing hitched as a wave of fear hit her. What was it? Would it hurt her?
Mihika's tail lowered to the ground as she pressed down. Maybe, maybe if she was lucky it hadn't spotted her...maybe. The cub shivered. Her gaze never left the rock where she had spotted the shadow.
Oh, please - please! She silently begged. Don't let it be anything that'll hurt me.

Obadias peered out from behind his rock, using the shadows as a coverage. He winced slightly as she tripped slightly when she came to a stop. Squinting into the faint sun, he scanned her. She looked...scared. She didn't look scary.
When she dropped down, he felt bad for scaring her. Moving outwards slightly, he stayed in the shadows until he stood at the edge, still in the shadows. He watched her watching the rock and took a deep breath before stepping out into the sun, giving away his position and his size. She seemed a little larger than he was, was that normal for whatever breed of cat she was?
"Hi," he called out,"It's okay. I'm not going to hurt you." Unless you attack me first. It was a silly idea to give himself away so easily but she was scared and he didn't want to terrify the poor thing.

Mihika's gaze slowly lifted up from the ground in disbelief. So it wasn't a big cat that could easily tear into her flesh! The leopard exhaled before blinking again.
Was...he talking to her now? And comforting her? Mihika was stunned. Something like this was so weird to the rogue who had lived in fear most of her young life. For her it was too weird to be truth.
Mihika pushed herself up and shook her head. "Hi?" She whispered giving the other a small glare, "You scared me!" Her tail flicked in the air, "And...and how can I believe you?" She finally muttered looking around.
She hadn't thought of a possible hidden attacker.

Obadias had a feeling he'd either surprised or really confused the other cat. She seemed to be staring at him strangely and he shifted, eying her for any offensive movement. Startling slightly when she glared at him, his eyes widening slightly when he released he had scared her. Darn.
"You can't," Obadias announced, sounding proud that she'd realized his obvious untrustworthiness too. Sure, he didn't intend to harm the fellow cub but that didn't mean she knew that for sure. He could be luring her into a false sense of security and then WHAM and she would be down. "You don't know me and I don't know you, so you really shouldn't trust me at all."
He tilted his head to the side, sitting on his rump by the rock. He was still within his territory, so he felt safe, despite there was no one around for miles. She was slightly larger than him. Was that because she wasn't a lion, or because she was older?
"But then again, if you can't trust me, you really shouldn't trust me when I tell you not to trust me," he announced, eyes widening at his revelation. He had been spending much too much time around Brother Anwar. He was talking like he did. "So, if that's the case, you should trust me because I'm untrustworthy and I'm telling you not to trust me." He crossed his eyes in a childish gesture, a throbbing behind his eyes appearing rapidly. He had given himself a headache talking around in circles and he was the one saying it all!

"I can't and I can?" The young leopard tilted her head at the lion cub. What was this some sort of joke? A very confusing joke at that! Still her eyes flickered around them thoughtfully and Mihika took a light sniff of the area. Really she could only smell the two of them, but still...
She knew that she couldn't always smell everything.
Her tail curled around her paws, "So doesn't that mean the same for me?" Mihika felt a small smile curl her lips, "Can I say for you not to trust me so you'll trust me?" If there was one positive thing that living as a rogue had given the young leopard it was a quick mind.

Obadias tilted his head, looking as confused as she did. "I guess...I'm saying that it's up to you. You can trust me or you could not trust me. It's your choice." It was a simple statement at least, this time. He was sure that it had to be simple, but he had somehow made it overly complicated last time, which he found pretty impressive.
"No," he replied, eying her with a type of respect as she thought of that. "I don't trust anyone outside the pride." He didn't move closer but he didn't move back either, staying in his spot and watching her closely. He wasn't trying to look threatening but he was no push-over. "That doesn't mean I'll hurt you though. I have more respect then to hurt someone who hasn't done anything against me or my pride."

"My...my choice?" Mihika shook her head trying to throw the nervous shake from her voice. "I mean, hmm. Interestin' thing ya tell me there." She never knew others to give a rogue like herself a choice - well besides being killed or running that is. Mihika kinda found herself liking this other cat...a little.
"Good for ya." Mihika actually grinned. Sometimes trusting others was a bad thing, especially with rogues and other prides. But the leopard kinda felt down. She wouldn't ever hurt anyone that didn't mean her harm. Still-
She blinked surprised at his next statement. "Why, aren't you respectable?" The leopard actually laughed softly at the thought before shaking her head again. "Same 'ere. Well except for the whole pride thing."
She took some steps forward and gazed at him, "Well if you aren't gonna hurt me then I guess I can trust ya for now. Jus...don't tell on me okay?" Mihika turned her gaze away, "I mean - am I on a pride's territory? I get...lost easily."
Oh! Why had she admitted to that? It must be those eyes, or the whole not harming her part. She was really torn about this after all this was the first peaceful meeting she had had in quite a while with a different species. But he was young like her...and she still didnt' see any signs of older cats. It made her feel safe.

Obadias stayed where he was, knowing better than to approach the female, no matter how she seemed to be relaxing slightly. He was on the very edge of his territory, which meant he was in danger already. Going into unclaimed territory was...stupid, especially for a young cub. She looked bigger than a cub though, so perhaps she was old enough to be traveling on her own?
He tilted his head to the side. "Course I'm respectable, but you can't really believe me saying that, since I could be lying, though I promise I'm not." He gave a slight smile. It was hard to convince someone to trust you when you were also telling them not to trust someone telling you to trust them. Meeting rogues was confusing, he decided.
"I won't tell on you, who would I tell?" He asked, with a shrug. He could tell his brother Anwar but Anwar probably wouldn't believe he had met a rogue. "No," he assured her. "You're not on the pride territory. I'm at the edge, so you're safe." He peered at her when she mentioned getting lost. "Are you lost now? I don't think I can help you with navigating, but maybe someone in the pride could?"

"Alright." She grinned, "If you stop talking like a big riddle, I'll believe anything - well most of what you say." The young leopard's tail lashed playfully behind her. Mihika decided that this pride must be full of knowledge for someone her age to already be full of logic like that. That or he was special.
She shrugged before focusing back on Obadias. "Good. I wouldn't want anyone to know-" Her eyes widened as she shook her head rapidly, "No! Don't!" What if they tried to keep her here? She didn't smell anything dark like those leopard eaters here - but they could still be mean. Though so far, she looked at the cub again, things seemed nice.
"I don't need help, really." Mihika shook her head and looked up, "I just go where my paws take me. So far it works." She giggled lightly and bounced to show that she was okay. "No need to worry 'bout me."

Obadias laughed lightly at her comment, "I promise I'll stop talking like a riddle," he assured, pausing before adding, "I was confusing myself a little too, so it's probably best for both of us!" He shook his head, not quite sure what had possessed him to talk in such a riddle. Perhaps nervousness?
His eyes widened at her sudden exclamation. Almost as if she was afraid, but why would that be? No one in the pride would hurt her! If anything, she would be protected in the pride. "You don't have to worry," he said quietly, eying her. "No one here would do anything to you." Not that they would, but he wouldn't want her hurt. He wouldn't let anything happen.
He watched as she spoke, a small smile playing on his face. "That sounds like a busy life," he said. "I have never traveled before, only within the pride territory. Though I need to go out into the rogue lands when I'm older, for my quest." He tilted his head, "do you not have a home, at all?"
