Yusri
It had been a couple of days since the group had arrived back home and getting resettled back into the pride. Many things had occured, many things had changed. Some for the better and others not so much. As Elarinya and Zulaica were both out hunting at the moment and the other pads were busy with their families he took this time for himself. As he sat down in front of the den and just watched all the activity occur around him, he tilted his head slowly and called for Nasha to come accompany him. She would be here, he knew that much and her company was something he enjoyed. And she was his very first Banu afterall.
Nasha
Nasha hadn't been hovering, as she often did. She had been in the den going over the small details and trying to remember just how Zulaica liked it all. One rock she turned just a little more to the left, another she nudged backwards. She knew that the other lioness would go over it all again several times upon her arrival home and that she likely wouldn't even noticed her fellow banu's efforts, but in her mind it was still worth it.
Besides, it wasn't as if she had all too much else to do during the day, and it kept her from brooding about the changes that had taken place during their absence.
When Yursi called she lifted her head. His voice had been feint and she wasn't all sure if he'd really called or not. It hardly mattered though, in a moment she was heading toward where she knew he would be waiting. If he'd indeed called then she would answer. If not, she would simply wait until he did need her.

As he shifted his gaze from the pride towards his den, he did indeed spot the green and brown lioness tidying the den. It brought back memories of when it was just the two of them. A small smile slowly spread across his features as he silently watched her for a moment longer till she looked like she was done.
"The den looks wonderful, as always Nasha." He told her honestly, she did a wonderful job and he was grateful for all her hard work. Even when she was alone he wanted her to know that he appreciated it. He watched her and waited for her to come over.

As she reached his side she lowered herself submissively, respectfully.
"My pad," there was nothing but affection in her voice, "thank you." What she wouldn't have given to be his beybanu. She glanced down at the ground, forcefully cutting off that train of thought. She should be grateful, she /was/ grateful simply to be allowed grow old beside him. She had never and would never even hint that she'd ever thought herself worthy of anything more.
"I am not deserving of your praise though. If it was not for Zulaica's attention to detail I would not even think to be so thorough in my own work," it was, in a way, the truth. "Perhaps when she arrives home you should thank her as well."

As she came over and spoke, he just smiled and reached out to nuzzle her cheek affectionately. She had a special place in his heart and even if he didn't want to admit it, she was special. He chuckled softly, "She will get thanked as well but you were the one who did the work so you deserve just as much praise as she does. Teamwork gets a lot farther than individual work."
He motioned for her to come by his side, "You have been with me the longest and have known my father as well. Did I make a good decision to follow in his footsteps as presenting myself to the Sultan as a prospect for the last Vizier position?" He asked, wondering what was on her mind as he did value their opinions on some matters.

She returned his affection whole heartedly, thanking him softly once again for his words of praise. He had barely motioned before she was beside him. She had known him long enough that she could read him. It was something she'd learned to do without the powers of a seer, and she was immensely proud of it. Reading him and being there always was her private way of saying, "I love you."
"I worry for you, dearest Yusri. You have always been kind to me and I worry that the kindness may be taken as... weakness," she looked out over the grasses. "But... Even before I came to be yours I knew of your father. Even then I knew him to be a great Vizier. You share many of his strongest traits, my pad. Perhaps my concerns are unjustified."
