Someone mentioned there have been scams of this nature.
Hope it's not the case.
Hold on for further info.

Poster was from Ohio and a moderator, figured it was legit.
Maybe it still is.

Poster was from Ohio and a moderator, figured it was legit.
Maybe it still is.

I've seen a million scams like this, but this is the first one that wasn't in chain-letter email form. Maybe it's legit, but you can only cry wolf so many times.
