Well i just saw on the news D.C. city concil is sending a bill to congress to pass gay marriage for D.C. which got me to thinking. What are your guys' views on gay marriage? Personally i am all for it. I am not gay, i hate the thought of being gay but i see the oppression of gays as nothing but an opression of a miniority and violates what principles this country is based on. So i am all for legal gay marriage. Link to the DC article

I don't think it's the government's place to define marriage, because there are so many ideas of what it should be. I think the government should give any consenting adult couple a civil union, gay or straight, and let that couple define marriage on their own. So, I'm not so much in favour of gay marriage as I am in favour of a system which would allow gay marriage.
On a more personal level, It is like Requiem in Mortis said. Like most of the GGE, I don't particularly care, nor do I have any particular problem with homosexuality.

I support gay marriage if both chicks are hot.
But really, why the hell should I care? Not like two dudes porkin' each other halfway across the contient affects me at all. Except Sulu. Knowing Sulu is gay IRL kind of detracts from the Star Trek experience. Kidding about Sulu.
