Personality: Though quiet and somewhat reserved, Shani has a love for life, for her mate, and for her children. She has been becoming more confident, so long as Feid is around.
History: Shani was originally in the Misties, born and raised. She had a rocky beginning, feeling estranged from her siblings and running away once. She came back only to find her family scattered. Distraught and heavy of heart, she followed a group of the pride to a new location, where they became the Ghosties. She lived there in sorrow and near anonymity until the unexpected happened. Love appeared.
Feid had a vision about her, and they met shortly after. It was love at first sight, though the very idea terrified Shani. But he proved to her that he was trustworthy, and they soon found wedded bliss. Shani's life only became more rewarding and complete when her cubs arrived. She loved being a mother, though sometimes it was stressful and frightening.
Sadly, the Ghosties were not meant to last. Once more in her life, the pride fell apart. Heartbroken but bolstered by her mate's love, they turned aside from where the rest of the families were headed. Her aging body would never endure the raging heat of the desert, where the others were bound. Together, Feid and Shani migrated to Ela lands, where they have settled in to spend the rest of their days in peace and mountain beauty.

Personality: Dakarai is a very mellow fellow. He's lived a long life, feels it in his bones, and has accepted that life is drawing to a close. He's at peace with himself and the world, though he does regret his wasted wandering years. Still, he enjoys telling those tales to the younger generations, and finds fulfillment in doing so.
History: He left home as an adolescent, leaving his rogue family behind. He kept himself separated, wandering the lands alone. But as he aged, he began to realize that the family connection was one he should have fostered, and he was saddened he would not get the chance. How could he find any of them in the wide, wide world now?
As chance would have it, he ran into his sister in his later years. It was a surprising and joyous occasion. He learned that she was in a pack now, and had a family of her own. Feeling nostalgic and wistful, he chose to join the pack. He settled into pack life with only a few regrets. Those regrets faded as he continued to age. The biggest surprise though was when a passing rogue lady favored him for a short romance.
Sadly, it was to be the last lingering moment of happiness before his last days. In a quiet moment, amidst a soft summer night, Dakarai left this world for the next.

Personality: It is rare to find her not dancing in some way. Her paws tap a beat, her tail swings in rhythm. Music is in her heart and the throb of it in her blood. She can find joy and happiness everywhere, at least so far in her life. Her attitude is naturally sunny, and will likely remain that way down deep, even under heavy duress.
History: Siesha comes from an NPC pack, where their focus is on self-expression. She was raised in security and love, learning her place as a Dancer of the pack. But to portray life accurately through dance, she had to experience more than just joy and laughter. She needed to learn pain, sadness, despair, and anger. She set out from her pack with the mission to learn of these things. Eager and niave, she has accepted this assignment whole-heartedly, ready and willing to subject herself to the ways of the world.
During her time in the roguelands, she suffered sorrow, pain, and dismay. It all paled to the day she met a lioness in the throes of grief after having lost everything she loved. Despite the lioness' lack of words, the two females found dance as a way to communicate, and found a kindred soul in each other. Together, they have traveled to a new place, and found a new home for themselves in Nchi.
While there, a dashing stranger wooed Siesha, and was gone immediately after. It wasn't long before she realized he'd left her with more than just pleasant memories. Three puppies, each so sweet and wonderful in her own way, came to be part of the family. For Siesha, as she is now beginning to wane past her prime, this is the perfect addition to her strange situation. That was not to be her only addition though, as one of the pups came back to the den with another pup in tow. A hyena pup, lost from his family, and certain that he was a wild dog. Delighted by this endearing darling, she took him in as well, to raise with her girls as one of her own.

Personality: Delphia is a bulwark in the storm of life. She has a reliable desire to look after others, particularly those younger than she is. Her gentle and caring attitude lends itself to her job of finding and taking in lost and abandoned cubs.
History: Long ago, Delphia was sweet-talked by a handsome male, who swiftly left her once he realized she was pregnant. She gave birth to a single cub, whom she raised alone but with much love and protection. Even when he became an adult, they traveled together. When he felt compelled to join Ela, she regretfully parted ways, not being ready to settle into such a closed society.
That was when she met her mate. Though he was somewhat younger than she, her youthful heart drew him to her. It didn't take long to realize their attraction was mutual, and that they sought to achieve the same goals. It was a happy union, and a dream come true for the single lioness.
In their continuing travels, they came across a half-starved, nearly dead cub. Her tale of woe came out later, but immediately both Delphia and Tangir adopted the sorry little sweetheart. Together they raised her with love, acceptance, and support. To this day she still returns to them from time to time, though she has long grown to adult and gone her own way.
Delphia and Tangir came upon a pride that they discovered had suffered great losses to their numbers, where only the youngest and oldest had survived. The pride's hope was to take in the lost and orphaned cubs from the roguelands, give them a safe place to grow up, and teach them all to revere the gods as they should be, atoning for past pridal mistakes. Delphia was touched by their plight as well as their mission, and has chosen to stay there with her mate. To their surprise, after settling in, the two of them had two little surprises of their own. Life was very good.
After a time, though, with the boys grown and gone, Delphia and Tangir felt that it was time to move on. They regretfully left the little adoption pride and are roaming the roguelands with their genet companion.

Personality: Fura is highly optimistic, which has served her well. She usually has something nice to say on hand for any situation. Her gentle and sympathetic heart has helped her make friends in her environment, and has slowly won the heart of her mate.
History: Fura's mother was verbally harsh with her since the day she was born. Instead of allowing it to sour her own attitude, Fura chose to take the opposite tack, becoming an eternal optimist to counter her mother's pessimism. However, when she became an adult, she paid the price for her sunniness. Her mother drove Fura from her, telling her she and her mocking ways were not wanted anymore. Rather than be discouraged and disheartened by this, she viewed it as a chance to explore the world and find her place in it.
Unfortunately, this led her to being clubbed and subdued to drag home as a mate, She resented being captured by force that way, and was very wary and hesitant to trust her new mate. He tended to remain reserved and withdrawn, but his temper would flare. Still, he wasn't a terrible male, and she learned to love him, helpin him to realize he is valuable for being himself rather than whatever he thinks is expected of him. She has guided him to learn how to be calm and content. His influence has helped to temper her girlish fanciful thinking and ground her in a realistic point of view.
At one point they found a wandering female in need of assistance. Fura convinced Nav to take her in as a banu. Eventually, a third was added to Nav's harem in order to help Fura hunt for the growing family, when it became clear that cubs were on the way. The combination of personalities worked well, and the cubs grew and thrived. Those cubs are now adults on their own, with their own families to look after. Fura feels like a benign matriarch now, and looks forward to grandcubs.
Things have been shaken up by the disbanding of the pride. She and Nav have chosen to let the other banus go where they will, and are traveling together with just the two of them. Fura is a little dismayed at having all her children scattered to the four winds, as it robs her of the chance to be a grandmother. They are now searching for the right fit for their odd world-view, and are likely to settle into the Stormborn with little fuss.

Personality: Elera is somewhat conflicted by her drive to be self-sufficient, versus her growing desire to care for others. Kindness and affection are not natural parts of her character, but being in the diseased pride has begun to bring these qualities out in her. This sometimes further contributes to her grouchy and snappish moods, rather than curing them.
History: After years of wandering the roguelands, sustaining only herself and her bird friend, Elera found someone who actually deserved her pity. A lioness, leading a pride cursed with disease. Astonishingly moved by the plight of the pride of lions, Elera agreed to remain and help them out. She chose the role of scout, so that she could still wander unhindered along the pride's borders, thus curbing her itching desire to flee.
As further evidence of the pride's valiant struggle to survive became evident, Elera decided she could do more to assist this pride that had changed her ways. Of her own volition, she went out and became pregnant via a passing rogue leopard. However, she had no idea how to be a parent, and intended on leaving the cubs to be raised by the nannies of the pride. Unbelievably, a goddess stopped her on her way back and saddled her with five more cubs! Baffled and terrified about trying to mother ten cubs, she has mostly been an absent mother, and is beginning to regret not trying harder to care for her own offspring.

History: Ruu had a carefree cubhood, with several fun adventures. When he grew old enough, he left his family to explore the world. He met some friends, but has had his heart captured by a lovely girl. A brief fling ended in sadness for him, as she took most of his cubs with her on her mad trek, for he hadn't realized how unbalanced she was when they first met. He gathered two of his boys and set off again into the roguelands, this time with a more sensible outlook. By chance he has run into the pretty lady he fell in love with, only to find she too had cubs with no mate to help her. He decided to travel with their group, to better protect his own boys. Will love blossom now that they have time to be together?

Personality: Vigo has had a drastic change of heart and character. Once a flirty, carefree lover, he now is a conscientious member of the diseased pride. He lives to better the lives of others, and endeavors to always ensure that he treats every female with polite respect. Gone are his days of treating females flippantly! Now responsibility is a familiar, heavy, welcome mantle upon his shoulders, though sadness seems to trail him in a ghostly, unseen waft.
History: He has spent his entire life, since adolescence, flirting with the ladies. He is a lover and a leaver, and thus has also spent much of his life fleeing from angry male relatives or shunned lovers. He has left progeny behind here and there and nearly everywhere, without any thought to their possible existence.
He found a girl that for once he did not immediately sleep with Her safety and happiness meant a lot to him, for he realized just how much he cared about her. When she turned up pregnant by another male, he got to observe first hand how challenging it can be for a single lioness to deal with offspring left behind by a careless lover. It smote his heart, realizing how often he might have done the same. Circumstances happened, and eventually he did sleep with her. Mortified at his loss of control, and certain that she would hate him for his lack of control, he fled.
After wandering the roguelands in the depths of despair and guilt, he stumbled across the pride Kitwana'antara. Their plight of disease and death humbled him. After speaking with several members, he came to realize that he would not be easy with himself until he had paid penance for his sins. To that end, he has avowed himself to bring back cubs for the pride to grow strong on. New blood to bolster bloodlines and numbers. It still weighs heavily on his heart that he has done unkindnesses to lionesses in the past, but he strives to make up for it now in how he treats every female he meets. It also imposes humility on him to have to ask females to sleep with him to result in cubs, though he sincerely looks after them during their pregnancies.
In this new pride, though, he's finding unexpected friends and allies. He has adopted/been adopted by an older lioness, who will act as a grandmother to all cubs he brings home. They fuss at and look after each other now, and provide companionship that they both lacked for so long.

Personality: Kejeli is having to rediscover himself, so many of his personality traits are in flux right now.
History: Kejeli was born into Mizimu'Tungika, immediately following a war. Unfortunately for him and his siblings, their parents were convicted as traitors. Each was marked as a slave, and the cubs were taken from their mother. Both parents were forbidden from seeing them as they grew. So it was that he and his brothers and sisters grew up with no one person to look to for comfort or support. Instead, a bevvy of minders saw to their needs, and little else.
Due to this twisted beginning in his life, Kejeli grew to be a very dark and unhappy individual. He savored little in life, but found his own sort of solace in believing he could read natural signs, such as randomly scattered leaves, the wind in the grass, or the pattern of raindrops on the ground. Having this to fall back on gave him a small sense of self and ability, but did not truly assuage the loneliness that came with being an orphan. His one reliable companion was his brother Azize, whom he protected as best he was able.
But as he hit adolescence and finally won himself an apprenticeship with a Scryer, the world fell apart. The pride was struck with the full brunt of the fury of the spirits, wreaking diseased havoc on the inhabitants. He fled with his teacher, his teacher's daughter, and a slave. Guild ate away at the edges of his sanity, for leaving his brother Azize behind. Life was a sullen and endless trip, and he teetered on the claw-point of madness.
Thinking he might soothe his inner demons with what others often claimed saved them... love...., he sought out a pretty female. It was a brief fling, and provided nothing of the relief he had been led to believe love offered. Disgusted with himself for showing such weakness, he left her almost immediately, unaware he'd sired a litter of cubs. It wasn't long after that when fate inserted its mighty hand.
In an attempt to clear their path and ease his guilt, Kejeli had begun trying to do sacrifices himself, as their pride of old had done to sate the spirits and curry their favor. But in the midst of this attempt, an earthquake struck. In the wrong place at the wrong time, Kejeli went down under a tumble of boulders, knocked senseless.
When he woke, he didn't know who he was, where he was, or why he was there. For Kejeli, life has started over again, and now anything is possible to his innocent eyes.

Personality: All is well in his world, for he has found his place in life, and it is beside his beloved mate.
History: Kaleth was born into the Nchi from a rogue fling, never seeing his father again. He never was very good with rhythms, though he enjoyed dancing as a cub. But as he grew, a restlessness settled in. He wondered about who his father had been, where he was from, all the questions his mother could not answer. So when he set out on his drum quest, he set aside the purpose of the excursion and began searching the roguelands for some clue of his father's identity.
It was a big world, though, and he found no sign. Heavy-hearted and wondering where his place was in the world, he happened to meet a pretty girl at the edges of her pride's territory. Something sparked at that meeting, and he willingly followed her to her home. It wasn't long before he was going through the ceremony to become a member of the pride, though it took longer for him to convince Tsili to become his mate. Now life is quiet, content, and wonderfully domestic. Without question, despite not finding his father, he had found where he belonged.

History: Tangir was separated from his family and old life when he rescued a genet princess. He knows not what happened during the battle, or how the war ended, but as he fled with the injured genet, he met the love of his life. She kindly helped him tend his charge, and showed him the world is not all about conflict and politics. They soon formed a cohesive little family, which grew again when they found and adopted a lost and homeless cub.
They wandered the roguelands for a long while, during which time Xieros grew and left them for spans of time. But their lives changed yet again upon meeting the Zagmuk matriarch. They agreed that this was something worth staying in one place for, and together they sought to make the world a better place through adopting cubs into the pride and protecting the pride as a whole.
A time came, though, when both of them felt it was time to move on. They now are once more in the roguelands,

Personality: Due to his past, Ur takes life pretty seriously. He makes sure he has a job to do, and does it to the best of his ability. He feels passionate about his pride, as well, and is likely to offer the shelter of the pride to passing rogues, as that was his need when he was little.
History: His mother tells him that his father left them before he was born. Burned into his memory was the dangerous journey while he was a cub, passing through the roguelands, looking for a new home. By the time they reached Bahari'mtoto, he had grown to a juvenile. The relief of his mother at finding a safe haven had a powerful impact on him, forging his dedication to the pride.
As an adult, he settled comfortably into his role as border guard. He took time and care to invite rogues to the pride if they looked as if they could use a safe place too. He kept his mother living in his den, the better to look after and protect her. But then the fateful day of the tsunami happened, and the world turned on its head.
The massive wave picked him up and swept him far into the roguelands, separating him from his mother and the life he knew. He is now struggling to get his bearings and find his way home again, with the help of a dubious lioness.

Personality: Maddi knows what she wants, and she endeavors to get what she wants. She can be a little devious and manipulative, but in the end, she isn't quite as selfish as she seems at first. She does care about those closest to her, but she just generally doesn't show it like everyone else does. She's pretty quirky and lofty, but has a good heart under it all.
History: An unremarkable cubhood resulted in her deciding who she wanted as her Pad. She approached him boldly before he left on his banu quest, and informed him of her choice, feeling very smug with herself for snagging him.
