Her name is iDoIl (the first apparent L being a capitalized i), and because of a tiff in Towns over her and her beau's cosplay, she has now found ingenious ways of preventing me from contacting her: Making her comments disabled, putting her Journal in Private, and making her PM's Friends Only. SHE'S MY BESTEST FRIEND EVAR. This was her last comment to me, spawned because she was a member of this guild and never knew I was a Moderator (I banned her on a violation of Rule 2 on the homepage):

"Fine, ban me. I really don't care because my friends run other .Hack guilds that are much more considerate. Plus, I would rather die then be in a guild that you are in.
It's better to be with friends and real cosplayers then people who judge others because they are unhappy wiht their own life."

Now doesn't this resemble a third greater saying "I DON'T NEED TO BE IN YOUR CLUB CAUSE MY CLUB IS A BAJILLION TIMES BETTER" ? Well, I had fun, and I just had to share it with my guildies.

Also, that little snippet of her text reminds me of the Aesop Fable "The Fox and the Grapes." Just sayin'.

Well, the full story goes like this:

Whilst traversing Towns on a glorious winter day, I came upon
an attempt at cosplaying both Shino and Haseo. Being the cri-
tical person I am, I walked by a murmured something to the
effect of "FAILTEMPT AT COSPLAYING." Cause I'm affectionate
and eloquent like that. [/end fancy tone]

When I decided to go back to that area a few moments later,
the two tag-teamed me, asking me what authority I had to
critique their cosplays, asking if I had ever done this before,
basically questioning my entire being. The male said something
to the effect of "If you ever went to a real convention and said
something like that, you would get your a** handed to you." I
tried to explain to the two that I would never say that in real life,
but because we are on Gaia and all have an equal opportunity to
cosplay and purchase the "perfect" cosplay items (something not
feasible in real life), corrections should be made. I know the blood
and tears put in to real cosplays. ANYWHO. They were on a roll
though and continued to berate me with insults, so I gave them
my opinion of what could be changed (They challenged me to
"try to make a better one"); I suggested the Noel's Gift Cape for
Shino's wings and Fallen Wish for Haseo's hair, but, once again,
they decided to berate me with stupidity, justifying their answers,
until I finally just stopped critiquing them. They said my comments
should be constructive (meaning I hadn't given proper reasoning
to change their cosplays because my item selection was "all
wrong"), instead of critical (like my first comment to them). I
tried to explain that I had given them suggestions, but they were
in their own little bubble.

Then Hell broke loose when they called to question my knowledge
on .hack. I made mention of the Friendship Event between Haseo
and Endrance, which threw the two into a fit of rage. They constant-
ly told me why I was wrong, that Haseo never liked Endrance that
way, and that Haseo really loved Shino. They scoffed at my stupidity
towards the series. I reviewed my .hack// knowledge and found, not
to my surprise, that Shino and Haseo NEVER get together. The first
ending of .hack//G.U. suggests that Atoli and Haseo get together (he
abandons Shino in the church to run after a crying Atoli) while the
"true" ending only shows Haseo and Shino holding hands at the last
second, further strengthening my suggestion that Shino really loved
Ovan (.hack//G.U.+ states this explicitly, though it is non-canon).
BUT OBVIOUSLY MY REASONING WAS STILL STUPID. They went
on, making a show be basically having sex in front of me, to which
point I left the screen to put on my Endrance cosplay. I returned,
to which they reponded "the b***h is back," and they ignored me
and I was fine with that. I even found another Guildie who deleted
his account because of all the flames he was getting.

FLASH FORWARD A WEEK LATER (last night)
I check my post in the Avatar Arena, and, what do you know, there
is a comment from iDoIl, stating:

"Already been done plus the shoes/stockings, the eyes, and the hair
are all wrong 2/5."

So I gave her a lengthy comment justifying my reasons and hinting
that her opinion may have been biased. GO FIGURE. I even made
a stab at her by stating that her comment should be "constructive
rather than critical." This, of course, floored her. So she responded
with some a comment that boiled down to "There are better eyes, hair,
AND stocking, but I'm not going to tell you" and "You are just a sad
person who picks on people cause you hate yourself." TIS TRUE. D;
/wrists. So, when I attempted to respond, I realized she had set
her Comments on Disabled, and her PMs to Private, so I went to
her journal and posted my final response there, saying that the
argument would become circular and pointless, so I would not
respond to her again. Then I did the smart thing of looking in
our Guild's registry and it turns out SHE WAS A MEMBER. Imagine
my surprise and delight when I realized I could slap the banhammer
on her. Thus her final quote. I ended up posting a comment on the
Haseo's page, stating to tell her to have a fun time in her next guild
(I later felt guiltly about involving him again and went back, telling
him to delete my comments and accept an apology for involving
him, to which he ahsn't responded YET).

Oh man, all she needs at the end is "NEENER NEENER NEENER" and it's just like being back in elementary school!

And uuugh bringing ships into it. Who cares about ~*canon*~ when it comes to pairings, anyway? Besides, I always thought G.U. made it ambiguous so the player could decide who they wanted Haseo to end up with.

Oh man, someone just... needs to take a walk or something. To hold a grudge over something so silly for a week on the internet... I just... don't understand.

I believe she's having "relationship issues" with her Haseo
anyways. I really could care less. She commented on my
page again, butI really didn't read it. I love how I can't
even contact her in any way,, and yet I have always left
my comment and PM box open for people to share their
complaints. But remember, I'M the immature one. YAY~
I'm done with her and her drama regardless. I gain no-
thing by arguing with such a person.

Though, I suppose in her case, an appropriate closure to
this argument would be:
"LA LA LA. I CAN'T HEAR YOU. LA LA LA. IMMA TELL ON
YOU IF YOU DON'T STOP. LA LA LA."

Haha, I get so trollish with people who try to argue about canon-ness of a series with flawed knowledge and information. I saw someone try to argue once that Shino and Haseo were meant to be together because in the marriage event, they are both looking forward at the end, whereas in the Haseo X Atoli event they were "only" looking at each other.

Derp, I dunno about you, but I was looking at my husband during our wedding, not anywhere else.

ALSO MARRIAGE EVENT = FANSERVICE, and hence cannot be taken as canon. Although, like Puppetry said, it's an awesome idea because you can pair Haseo with whomever you want! biggrin

Anyway, that is my rant on that.

I am also in the "who cares" and ship whatever you want boat. Ship away kids! biggrin biggrin Please... really. I need more .hack//fanfic to read between classes. >.>

While it probably would have been better if you had started with a constructive comment on the cosplay rather than calling it a fail, the way they reacted was immature as well. While it is understandable to have a less than good cosplay for budget reasons on Gaia, you should just say that you can't afford such items when confronted.
