Obadias walked through the main pride area, curiously watching various banus and pads interact with obvious interest. He was always curious over the relationships in the pride, knowing how his father and mothers intereacted but not much else. He spent most of his time around his brother, or Parvana, and not many other people.
His family was all busy, so he was out on his own for once. This meant he was bored and searching for something to do. He could find no blue in the varying families that were milling around, so he wouldn't be able to find his friend. Wondering what he was meant to do now, he spotted a nearby rock and leapt up onto the flat surface on top of it.
Settling down on the rock, he stiffled a yawn and rested his head on his paws as he peered around the pride, looking for something to keep him interested, even for a little while.

Tsubame had nothing that she really needed to do today, everyone was off doing what they were doing and she was told to stay home and relax. Tsu was bored out of her mind. At first she napped in the shade of a tree that was near the den but the movement in her belly soon woke her up, she was contemplating going to watch and play with the cubs but her growing size made that a bad idea, so not really knowing what else to do she decided to go to the lake.
As she walked in and out of the shade of the trees that grew around the lake her blue fur flashed, much like the wings of the bird she was named after. But unlike the bird, the lioness was quite a bit less graceful or quick, at least right now with cubs swelling her small frame until she feels like she is a bloated water buffalo.
Once at the water she drank her fill then, rather then return to the den, she sat down under a nearby tree and hoped that someone, anyone would keep her company before she went out of her mind with boredom.

When nothing jumped out at the bored cub, Obadias huffed and wriggled on his rock, rolling onto his back so he could stare at the sky. Unfortunately, there was little clouds in the sky so he couldn't even cloud gaze. Sighing, he rolled off his rock, landing on his feet with a heavy thud.
He started back towards his family's den, wondering if he could find his brother and play with him, but something caught his eye. Blue? It was down by the lake! Was it his friend? He wondered, padding towards it eagerly. Perhaps she would play!
When he got closer, spotting the older female resting under the tree, he slowed and sighed. It wasn't her, but...it was a female. One of the elder banus? He wondered who her pad was. Would he get in trouble for talking to her.
"Hello!" he called out, deciding it was worth the risk. He was only a cub, so it shouldn't really matter, right?

Tsubame's mind was wandering so it was not until someone spoke near her that her head came down out of the clouds. A quick look around determined the speaker to be a young dark colored cub and the one he was speaking to could only be her since there were no other pride members around at least not as far as Tsu could tell. Not entirely sure of the protocol for talking and interacting with a strange cub, she knew that if the cub was older she would have to wait till he introduced himself since he was a strange male but since he was a cub it should not matter.
This entire thought process took only a fraction of a second there was no detectable pause before she greeted him in turn, "Hello young Pesar." she had comprised and used the polite term to greeting a cub. She silently wondered who this cub's mother and father was but because her den was slightly farther apart from the others she could not tell just from looking at the cub.

Obadias was curious about the elder banu. Was she meant to be out on her own, he wondered to himself. He moved a little closer to get a better look at the female. He had seen her in passing before, he could remember vaguely but he had never spoken to her.
Pesar. The use of his title made him pause, wondering if his father would be annoyed at him if he found out he had been talking to unnattended banus. Maybe. That made him a little anxious but he didn't want to show it, so he gave the banu a tiny smile.
"How are you?" He asked curiously, unable to use her title of 'banu' becuase it just sounded odd saying Banu without knowing her name to add to it as well.

The cub was one that she had seen before, playing with the other cubs at one point in time but since Tsubame was normal reserved and recently pregnant she did not really find herself interacting with the other cubs in the pride besides her own.
She knew that Achal would not mind her talking to this cub but she wasn't sure about the cub's parents or namely his Pad so she kept her eyes and ears peeled for any abnormal sound that would mark the approach of another.
Tsu was going to replay that she was well when one of the cubs decided that it wanted more space and showed it's displeasure by kicking the poor lioness quite hard. Her smile, which she had been doing, faded a bit as a look of pain flashed across her face. Shifting ever so slightly Tsu finally answered, "I am as well as can be expected. And you?" As she exchanged pleasantries with the young cub she realized that she never introduced herself. Out on the rouge lands it did not matter who introduced who or in what order but Tsu knew that in this pride things are a bit different so doing her best not to offend nor completly disregard the rules she said, "Please don't be offended by my boldness but I can not seem to recall your name young Pesar. I am Pad Achal's Beybanu, Tsubame." She hoped that by phrasing it the way she did and since it was just a cub that she did not break any rules.

He tilted his head to the side as he watched her, narrowing his eyes when he saw pain on her face, though it was gone quickly. He wondered if it was rude to ask, and couldn't think of a polite way to question her.
"I'm well," he said, returning the pleasantries, a little awkwardly. He was a polite cub, but was not used to interacting with others yet. He spent most of his time around other cubs who didn't bother with them, at least, not yet.
When she introduced herself, he felt a flash of embarrassment go through him, realising it should have been him that introduced himself first, as was the way of the pride. She was being polite about though, which made him feel better, though he was ashamed of his inexperience with the pride yet. "Greetings, Beybanu Tsubame," he said, knowing how to address her now at least. She was a Beybanu! He was now thankful he hadn't called her 'banu', in case she took that as an insult to her position in the pride. "I am Vizier Tariq's Son, Obadias," he introduced himself, trying to stand straight and presentable as he did.

"That is good." Tsu said when Obadias replied to her question. She took his response at face value even though most just respond with 'good' when they don't really want to talk about it or they say it without thinking. The cub didn't look like anything was wrong except for a little awkwardness which she felt as well.
"It is nice too meet you Obadias." Tsu dropped the Pesar because it seemed a little too formal and as far as she could tell there was no one around to object. She also hoped that by drooping the Pesar the young lion would drop the Beybanu because that is technically her title Tsu feels odd being called that.
Talking with Obadias relived some of her boredom but she still wished she could go out and do something use full like hunting or playing with the cubs. She shifted a bit trying to find a spot where none of the cubs sat in a odd spot, it was nearly impossible. "So Obadias, what brings you out here?" She asked. She was still polite but it wasn't as formal as her earlier questions were.

"It's nice to meet you too," he replied, hoping that was the end of the formalities. The young cub had not learnt them all yet, but he had noted the dropping of his title, perhaps that was an invitation to drop hers as well? He eyed her, she seemed kind enough. She reminded him of his month and he found himself relaxing still.
Watching as she shifted, seemingly trying to find a comfortable spot to rest, he was surprised when she continued on the conversation. He glanced back towards the dens, before answering, "It's too noisy in the den at the moment." Too many cubs inhabited the dens, and it irritated the quiet cub. "I thought I'd seen someone I knew too," he admitted as well, looking embarrassed, "but I was mistaken." He perked up a little, hurrying to add, "though I am glad I met with you!" He cleared his throat, looking awkward again. "What brings you out here?"

Tsubame wasn't insulted when the young cub said that he thought she was someone else but she did laugh lightly when he tried to cover that up by saying that he was glad he met her. It didn't take much thinking about what to say when he asked what Tsu was doing out here. "Boredom mostly although if my family wasn't out and about the noise might have driven me out as well." She laughed lightly again and added, "Although I guess I'll be adding to the noise soon as well."

Obadias blinked at her cryptic statement, peering at her. He only then seemed to notice the bulge in her stomach and his eyes widened. "You're with cubs?" He asked, perhaps a little louder and more surprised then he should have been. He froze afterwards, looking embarrassed. "I'm sorry, that was rude, forgive me?" He shifted uncomfortably, hoping she wasn't insulted by his outburst. He glanced back at her stomach, obviously curious now. He was one of the youngest cubs in his den, so he didn't know much about cub-bearing.

Tsubame couldn't help but laugh at Obadias surprise. "That's the same thing I said when I found out." It wasn't really but it was close enough. Really Tsu had to ask Ban'ma so many questions about what was going on that Tsu felt like a little cub she was so ignorant. And she still felt unprepared.
"Its OK Obadias, I would have said the same thing if I was in your paws. There is nothing to forgive." Tsu smiled at the obviously curious cub. She debated asking him if he had any questions but decided that it would be better to wait for the cub to voice them since she wasn't sure if she could answer all his questions.

Obadias felt a little bad that he'd just blurted that out, and felt even worse when she laughed, but she didn't seem to mind how informal he had been, so maybe it wasn't bad. "You hadn't planned for cubs?" he asked, sounding curious. How could you get 'accidentally' pregnant? Wasn't it something you had to plan? He paused. Wait. How did a female get pregnant? He frowned, trying to remember if anyone had told him that.
He peered at her curiously, wondering if she would answer him if he asked her how she got pregnant. That sounded really rude though. He sighed, knowing he would likely have to find one of his mothers to ask now, or his father. Or his brother, who seemed to know everything. Maybe he would know.

Tsubame didn't really know how to answer young Obadias' question. No she had not planned for cubs, didn't even think she wanted cubs at first, but Achal wanted them even if it turned out Tsubame could not produce them. He adored his cubs and Tsu knew this so with this in mind she said, "Most miracles are unplanned for."
Even now Tsu was not certain if she would be a good mother after all her own mother didn't love her and that dislike flowed in Tsu's blood. But one thing she did know which was that even if she wasn't a good mother she would do the best she could because she wanted these cubs with all her heart.
Watching Obadias, to see what he would say next, Tsu noticed the curiously written in his eyes. Not entirely certain what he was thinking but having a good idea the petite lioness suggested, "If you have any questions about what a Pad and his Banu do in their den I would think it would be best to ask your mother." She smiled to take any sting from her words, "After all most of it is still sort of a mystery to me." She lowered her voice and added, like she was confiding in Obadias so secret, "I had to get one of my sisters to explain about a few things because I didn't grow up knowing them."

Obadias looked surprised at her phrasing. Were cubs really a miracle? He thought miracles were amazing feats that changed lives, how could cubs fit into that idea? "Cubs are a miracle?" He asked, trying to sound like he was just stating a fact, but his voice tilted upwards at the end, ending up with it being a question.
He shifted in embarrassment at his obvious curiousity and the fact she had guessed what was on his mind. "Okay," he agreed readily, already planning to confront one of his mothers about it. Or maybe he'd ask his brother, but didn't really know how his brother would know anything more then he would have. He shook his head and grinned a little at her confession. "Really? I thought adults knew everything." He looked a little skeptical, like she would announce that she was, in fact, a cub in disguise or something equally ridiculous.
