Seaki The moon had been full that night, and the moonbeams flooded the area - nearly every detail was clear in the terrain. The light was nearly as if it was day, but the warm glow was absent. One wild dog, a slave (though probably only in name at this point) lay awake, light bothering him. His instincts to roam has diminished greatly since he first lay foot here.
This was his home now, and he wouldn't leave it unless Nyota, his Master, decided they would. Red eyes glowed ominously, kindly. Speaking of master, the Dog swiveled his head, searching for the dark scarred shape that was Nyota.
Nyoko It was certainly shaping up to be a good night, Nyota thought absently. He hadn't seen the moon shine this brightly in a long while... After a long moment, the lion got to his paws, stretching absently before glancing down to the three dark shapes of his children. They looked almost adorable, laying in a pile like that... He couldn't help the smile that pulled at his lips as Domefae absently pawed at the empty space his father had previously inhabited in his sleep, a small frown crossing his face before he settled down again.
It was only a few moments before he caught Koin's gaze, and he motioned towards the entrance of the den with his head before padding off. There was no need to wake the cubs, after all.
Seaki Koin watched Nyota move out of the den before tailing after him. He was curois, and had thought his master would be sleeping - wouldn't he be. The night was late after all, but Koin didn't mind.
He let his mind wander for a moment and let his gaze follow the dark shadow cast by the much larger lion.
He wouldn't know, after all, until his Master spoke.
Nyoko "You've been up a while," Nyota said softly, glancing towards Koin as he settled down near the entrance to his den. In the distance, he could hear the hustle and bustle of the demons who prefered to remain active during the night, and while he was one of them, he'd found himself sleeping in his den more often... Simply because he couldn't stand leaving his cubs alone too long. "Is there something on your mind?"
Seaki A small frown crossed the white dog's maw as he settled next to the male. "I have been," he nodded. He tried to stay awake during the day, and at night sometimes as well, to watch the cubs. He felt his heart ache towards them, not because of the life they would lead, but because he wanted some of his own.
"Just," he sighed. "watching you with your family. I've just longed for pups of my own again."
Nyoko "I wouldn't object to that, you know," Nyota said softly, a fond smile crossing his lips. He could see how watching his three would make the small wild dog yearn for children of his own. Even between Domefae's silence and Bethulah's rather unique view on crafting. "Of course, they'd be slaves... But I imagine my little ones would give them good lives."
Seaki A small mile, and Koin nodded. "I'd like that," He let his gaze return to his Master. "But... would anyone really let me take their pups and subject them to lives as slaves - treated well or not?" He frowned, teeth clenching slightly in his teeth slightly.
He didn't know, but he wanted pups of his own, despite his status as a slave.
Nyoko "I'm sure there's someone out there who wouldn't object to it. After all, these days you're more of a pampered pet than a slave," Nyota teased, shifting to nudge Koin's shoulder playfully.
Seaki Koin gave a snort of amusement. "I suppose that's true," He stayed silent for a moment, letting himself fall into a more comfortable position. He didn't mind being a 'Pampered Pet,' as Nyota put it. It was quite nice, in fact.
"Our pups would grow up together, then..."
Nyoko "It would be nice. Although we'd probably have to teach them how to understand Domefae," Nyota said softly, glancing towards Koin with a smile. "Sometimes it seem like Mother and I are the only ones who know exactly what he's saying, whether he speaks or not."
Seaki A low chuckle echoed from the back of Koin's throat. He couldn't understand Domefae - only just barely. He shook his head. "That's true. I can barely understand him, but I try." He confided. He wished he coul understand the boy better though.
Nyoko "I imagine you'll get better with time. I think the main reason I can understand him so well is because I'm his father," Nyota said lightly, his lips quirking.
Seaki The dog gave a nod. "Makes sense, I guess," he grinned, showing some of his teeth, though minimally. He gave a small sigh and shifted again, listening to the bustle of the night lions and birds, and other creatures for that matter.
Nyoko "If you'd like, we can head out to the borders later. I can ask Mother if she'd be willing to watch over the cubs for a bit," Nyota offered absently, glancing towards Koin.
Seaki Koin looked back towards Nyota, eyes dazzling in the moonlight. "I'd like that," he confessed. "We should try an sleep now, though, yeah?" the dog questioned hesitantly. He was a bit tired now, though. The earlier ways of coming to the pride still ingrained into his mind, though he was used to his kind masters.
His master, his friend. He smiled at the thought, and gave a small yawn.

Nyoko "Alright. You go on in and get settled. I want to sit out for a little longer," Nyota said, nuding Koin towards the den with his nose. He'd never imagined being friends with the wild dog when he'd first captured him, but it had happened.
Seaki Koin gave Nyota a smile and pulled him self up from the ground with the nudge towards the den. "Good night," he said softly and trotted back into the den to sleep. His eyes still sparkled within the den, and tomorrow would be, decidedly, a good day.
