Azar stretched out on her favorite spot in the entire pride. It wasn't that far away from the dens but it was hidden away by the dunes of the pride. She had always been at this place when she was having a good day since she was a small cub. She was stretched out on a rock, half closing her eyes and flicking her tail around. She had spent most of her day training and visiting her aunt Kaanga's cubs. She wanted to visit them and make sure that she offered her help to the older lioness. She remembered seeing her aunt a lot while growing up and she wouldn't mind taking care of her cousins occasionally. She didn't need any help right now so she could spend the rest of her day relaxing which is what she was going to do.
She squinted her eyes as she looked up at the sun, checking out the sun where it was before flopping her head down on the rock rolling over on her back resting her paws on her belly and flicking her tail around as she did. She was feeling pretty calm she was taking her mind off of just about everything. She was in a very good mood, she wasn't even in a fighting mood.
Even when she though of him. She couldn't take her mind off of him. With the chunk in her ear missing she couldn't help but to think of him every time some one said something, she was looking in the lake or even when she was grooming herself. She knew her brother went off to fight him she just wasn't that sure of who one. Right now Azar didn't care she was having a good day, she didn't even care if he showed up in front of her! Or did she ? She had been thinking about him a lot, he was the main thin on her mind and yet she still wasn't that sure why.

Well, soon Azar's feelings of tranquility would be tested. Tested by nothing other than Khin'del's own garnet appearance. Like the phoenix which likeness he bared, he had risen above. From what he'd been hearing upon his official admittance, Azar had been telling everyone that she had defeated him. Ha! Oh, Azar. Do you not recal? Khin'del thought with a smirk. "Well. It's down to this, you hit me next and you win.. You miss.. and I win." She bared her teeth in a grin.
"That's hardly a fair proposition when I have you down in the ground like this. He swatted at her nose halfheartedly, and moved away. "Next time we meat I'll be an official Firekin."
And now, after defeating her brother, here he was, walking with his head held high. Though he had wounds, he made as if he didn't feel them. In fact, he'd waited a few days for them to heal before making his official appearance. Thankfully he was a fast healer.

Azar flopped her tail around happily as she laid. She squinted her eyes as she opened them, the sun was too bright as she on her back. She rolled over on her side as she purred quietly She lifted a paw and chewed at it gently getting some of the dirt out of her paws. Even though in a way she didn't completely win the duel with Khin'del she still proudly said that she did. She felt she won the duel and to her that was what mattered.
She licked her paw a few times before lowering her head and rubbing her paw against the top of her head, cleaning it just like a house cat would. Warming up her fur in the sun and stretching her body out. Happy thoughts ran through her head nothing could bring her down. Not even what was coming her way.

Khin'del spotted her, and his amber eyes were set. Feh. Laying around like a lump on a log. That made it easy enough to come up with a unfriendly holier-than-thou greeting.
"Lazy. This is why you are so easily defeated."
Khin'del's dark red body came to a stop in front of the place where Azar lay.
"And hiding too," He chided. "I wouldn't have found you if I had not been giving myself a tour of these lands.

Azar wasn't completely caught off guard by her visitor's greeting. There had been many times before while she was in this spot and some one decided to sneak up on her and talk to her. Her sisters had done it many times and even though it was where she liked to go to get away from everyone, most of her family knew it was where she liked to go to. If you couldn't easily find Azar then you knew that she was here, on this rock most likely sunning herself or sleeping.
"Not exactly." She answered simply. "My training for the day is done. I am taking some time for myself." She glanced at the male and gestured toward the area around her before going back to cleaning. "You may join me if you please." Her ears twitched at his next words. "I see you got into the pride. Congrats." She nodded before she gazed toward him once more. "If you are here to start a fight I'm going to leave you unhappy." She chuckled before shaking her head.
"I come here to relax I'm in a good mood and you wanting to fight and your silly comments aren't going to get you anywhere." she stretched out some before she started to clean her fore arms. "You know if you really want a fight you can find my father. He'd be more than willing to fight." Her ear twitched as she looked up a the male before chuckling. "Or you can relax." Azar was in fact a major workaholic, however she knew when she needed to rest.

Khin'del gave her a look that read 'seriously?' Obviously she was simply resigned to saving herself from embarrassment. For Khin'del, training was never done till one was passed out for exhaustion or blood loss. Pushed to the limit, and even then, pushed beyond.
"Why start a fight that one's opponents heart isn't in? Obviously you're resigned to your time for yourself. I, on the other paw, have some touring to do, others to get to know. And I'm sure I just might find some more spirited lioness to suit my affections."
Oh yes, he was still playing that dirty, dirty mind game.

Azar trained as long as she felt needed, she trained often some days more than the other. She trained since she was very little and knew when she had to stop, she never knew when she was going to be needed. She never saw the point of pushing herself over the limit, she only did that a few times when she was younger and her mentor made her push herself over the limit just so she could experience it. However now she was a older lioness and she did not want to lose all of her energy training when she needed it later.
Her eyes widened and she paused her cleaning as a pang of jealousy hit her. More Spirited lioness? She could almost feel the fur stand up on the back of her neck. She shook it off before countering him quickly. "Good luck with that Khin'del." She laughed a bit before looking up at him with a smirk on her face. "Many of the lionesses are tending to the new cubs or training themselves. I think big group went out on a hunt." She snorted slightly before grinning. "Most of them train around this time and wouldn't like to spend their time leading some one around."
She chuckled slightly before stretching her full large body out and smirking a little more. "I'm probably the only lioness around to show anyone around at the second." She liked to train in the morning and at night, she really loved training during the night, she felt more in place for what needed to be done. Her dark coat fit into the night better than any other time. "So you are really stuck with me." she laughed then shook her head looking around. "I grew up here, there isn't any thing other than sand that you want to see. You've probably seen all of the big things."

"Oh, I'm not looking to be lead around. I can walk around and get to know the place myself. As for the training, I just might join in with them." He started to turn around and walk the other direction. He then stopped, and looked over his shoulder. "You enjoy your 'you' time."
And Khin'del did, indeed, find a couple lionesses to spar with. However, the session seemed to be drawing to a close, and he hadn't even gotten serious yet. really now where was the Firekin spirit? He was now talking with the lioness that remained there. The competitive part of Khin hoped that the lazy Azar had finally got up and decided to find him. This game was interesting. Leading her on, when inside, he really didn't care one way or another.

Azar looked at the male once more before letting out a small laugh. "do what you please." She shrugged before leaning back down and continuing her cleaning. She didn't care what he was doing... Or who he was seeing. He wasn't that important... Right?
< timeskip O: > It was about time and the night started to fall. There was nothing much for her to do except for her to make a few rounds around the pride. she wasn't tired yet, not at all since she knew that male was now in the pride. She really wasn't that sure of what she was going to do with herself but one thing was for sure she was going to try to keep her mind off of it. She started to trot away heading to where she could get some running done.
That was until something caught her gold eyes. She stuck out against the bright colors of sunset, but she knew soon she would be blending in and it would only be her eyes that were visible in the night. But for now something held their attention. She could see that red coat, that phoenix marking. He was talking to some other female and she was eeling a little annoyed as she watched them from the top of a dune.

Khin'del and the female were walking together now. He had decided, whether or not Azar was there, he'd play his little game. The lioness was young. Evidently a bit younger than Azar, and probably a rogue that had joined in. She was taking his advances with eagerness.

She watched the pair carefully, before a frown grew on her lips. She knew for a fact that she was a little older than the lioness and not only that a little bigger. Azar was of firekin blood and from what she could tell the lioness did look like a rogue who joined. Azar was like her mother No in many ways, not only that she was all black but also in the fact that she was a scary lioness, not only in looks but in attitude and she didn't like this lioness walking with Khin.
She trotted down off of the dune, easily balancing as she did. It was easy to get used to walking on the dunes after a while she wasn't going to make herself look like fool if she wanted to show up this female. She approached with her head held high and her body proud. "Hello Khin'del." She said her eyes met up with his for a moment before her attention turned toward the female. Her face unfriendly easily making the point that she was trying to make. She was going to get her point across.

"Good evening, Azar," he said, looking to Azar with a smirk. "Didn't I tell you?"
Oh, these games were fun. She really was predictable, and easy to goad, as well. It was hilarious to think that one little seed planted in her mind could produce such...entertainment!

If only she knew that he was toying with her at the moment. She would have his pelt lining her den floor. She would be furious, but for now she didn't know anything. She was jealous though. "I see." She glanced at the lioness once more but then laughed slightly turning her attention back toward him. "Sad excuse for a firekin that you found though. "It's pretty surprising that the other lionesses haven't torn her apart." She snorted sizing the other lioness up. "You could have done a lot better." She watched the confused lioness, a smirk growing on her own face. What she wanted to happen was happeneing.

The lioness hissed and sulked on off. Khin'del watched her go. "I only did that to make you jealous. Ah- that is jealousy you are displaying, is it not?" Khin'del asked smugly. "Come now, why are you so jealous of such a lowly lioness, hmn?"
Khin could go on about how she should be more secure in herself, or some such like that, but he'd save it for a later opportunity.

Azar couldn't help but to laugh at the lioness. She found it so amusing. She flicked her tail around a few times, a large smile on her face. She relaxed some her body starting to relax. She felt very good to prove to at least herself that she was better then some of the females in the pride. She snorted slightly before shrugging toward the male. "It's not jealousy. Don't think you're that lucky." She flicked her ear before laughing. "I just thought you'd have better taste in females. I mean come on now." She glanced toward the female once more before flopping down on her haunches with a small thump. "Beside you didn't seem all that interested in her. You were looking around." She laughed pushing herself to her paws once more, brushing up against him before standing by his side. "We're you looking for some one?"
