Survivor Information
All players are survivors of the zombie outbreak not because they are expert combat artists, but rather that they were incredibly lucky with a hint of intelligence and skill.
The primary luck falls under the category of all PC survivors have a blood born immunity to the virus that has begun to spread throughout most of the world and are unable to be infected if bitten.
There may only be 5 survivors playing at any one time.
Those that have survived are only so through chance, for the most part. These characters are not amazing heroes, extensively trained military men and women, or gods among men. They are students, plumbers, cops, lawyers, farmers.
Characters will be required to learn as they go; that is to say, none of the survivors are completely settled into their new situation yet. There are no concrete routines that they can stick to, no sure things to rely on, other than their own skills.

Rules
- Obviously follow the Gaia ToS. - Swearing is allowed, know your limits however. Too much and you're out. - Obey the common courtesy of RPing. I don't want to see any godmodding, autohitting/autododging, god mode, any of that garbage, unless I get a PM first giving me both a good reason and some kind of consent or agreement from the other party. - You get three strikes here. So, doing something I don't like, or something that violates these rules, will get you a warning. I will post the warning in the RP, so that everyone knows what not to do. - This is a literate RP. Please, make use of spell check and use capitalization and punctuation. This also means that OOC should be posted in the respective thread. - Please, hold off on posting at first. After I've read your profile and accepted it, I will send a PM giving you an entry point. This makes it easier on you, me, and all of us, so we don't have people running around randomly, and in all likelihood getting themselves killed quickly. - Keep in mind: I control everything. Keep that in mind when you join the RP. Health/Status Information
Your characters may be immune to the virus, but that most certainly does not stop the rampaging zombie hordes from ripping off your arms then beating you over the head with them till you bleed to death.
All players by default will have 100 Hit Points (HP). Damage will be calculated by dice roll. Zombie HP varies. The amount of damage taken will be modified by skills taken by the survivor and also any equipment being used.
Blue: This character is uninjured. Not only that, but this person can also perform on an optimum or above-average level. This person is easily capable of performing at full capacity. 100 or above HP Green: This character has sustained very minor injuries. Pulled muscles, wounds to arms or hands, etc. will often fall into this. This character will still be capable of performing full-quality work, even if it's difficult. 75-99 HP Yellow: This character has sustained moderate wounds or injuries. Although not badly hurt, this character will probably move more slowly, have difficulty focusing, and probably require medical attention. 35-74 HP Orange: This character has sustained severe injury. Multiple wounds to the chest, multiple broken bones, severe concussions, etc. This character not only definitely needs medical attention but will be comparatively seriously ineffective in combat. While still capable of fighting, this character will have difficulty doing so. 11-34 HP Red: This character is incapacitated. Whatever happened, he or she is no longer capable of combat. Perhaps the character can still sort of aim and shoot, but even then they won't be capable of taking their own feet. In most circumstances, they'll be unconscious. Not good. 1-10 HP Black: Character is deceased. Resuscitation is possible, based on dice roll and time remaining on the counter. 0 or less HP
Reaching 0 HP or less will mean your character is on the verge of death. If you are not rescued by an ally and resuscitate attempted, you will die. Depending on the amount of time taken to reach you from the time you fell, this will determine your % chance of being revived. You will never have a better than 50% chance to resuscitate a fallen comrade. If resuscitation fails, your character is gone and you will have to rejoin as a different character or be placed on the wait list if the RP is full.
Temporary Injuries/Status Effects
Some Injuries go beyond just scratches and bruises, these will often cause lingering effects to hamper your abilities.
Sprained Ankle - Temporarily Reduces speed drastically. Removable with First Aid, or Surgery. Corrosive Acid - Damage over time. Removable by First Aid. Internal Bleeding - Damage over time. Reduces speed and damage. Removable only by Surgery. Irritated Infection - Reduces damage dealt. Removable through Herbalism or Pharmaceutical Knowledge. Broken Bone(s) - Depending on which bones are broken they can lower damage dealt, lower speed or lower defense drastically. Removable only through Surgery. Suffocation - Drains health rapidly. No cure other than to escape what is causing it to receive clean air.
Permanent Injuries
Some injuries acquired are too severe in order to recover from via First Aid or even Surgery. If you receive such a wound, it will remain with you forever unless your character dies.
Such injuries include but are not limited to:
Arm Destroyed: Reduces damage by half. Leg Destroyed: Reduces speed by half. Collapsed Lung: Reduces speed, Max HP reduced by 20. Scarred Eye: Reduces damage dealt by 5. Cracked Skull: Occasionally become Dazed and unable to act for a short period.

Skill System
In this RP, every Survivor has their own set of skills, just like someone in real life would. All players must choose 5 skills.
01. Field Medicine - Basic First Aid, player starts out with 2 Health Kits, can be applied to heal 1-20 HP whenever appropriate materials are found and stop external bleeding. 02. Advanced Medicine - (Requires Field Medicine) Superior Medical Training, capable of performing minor surgery with minimal materials, restoring 10-30 HP and clearing status effects. 03. Lockpicking - Player starts with a lock picking toolkit, grants access to any locked doors that are not barricaded or barred. 04. Small Arms Proficiency - Player gains a bonus +2 damage to all small firearms, such as pistols. 05. Large Arms Proficiency - (Requires Small Arms Proficiency) Player gains a +4 bonus to all firearms, excluding only Explosive/Melee/Thrown/Unarmed combat. 06. Melee Weapons Proficiency - Player gains a bonus of +4 to all Melee Weapons 07. Hunting - Player knows the habits and habitats of animals, giving a 100% success rate in catching smaller animals for food. 08. Resource Gathering - Player is adept at noticing potentially useful items. Capable of finding raw material items at random. 09. Leadership - Player is a born leader. Gives +5 Max HP, +1 Defense, +1 Attack to all nearby allies. Multiple players with Leadership skill negate each other, beware. 10. Computer Skills - Player is technical savvy. Capable of accessing computers and have basic hacking skills, useful for gathering information and making use of computer terminals. 11. Stealth - Player is adept at hiding and sneaking. Capable of avoiding combat when remaining in shadows (Note: If you are wounded, zombies can sense you through the smell of blood). 12. Forging - Player is a craftsman. Capable of melting down metals and forming useful items or weapons. (Note: This takes a long time to accomplish) 13. Herbalism - Player is knowledgeable of nature. Capable of harvesting food or useful herbs from the wilds. 14. Mechanics - Player is mechanically knowledgeable and is able to operate machinery as well as repair vehicles. (Note: Repairs take a long time) 15. Driving - Player is capable of driving more than just a car; able to drive any vehicle. 16. Awareness - Player is highly perceptive and foresees most attacks, reduces all damage taken by 2. 17. Higher Education - Player is intelligent in the matters of the mind. All other abilities that require time are reduced by half. 18. Occultism - Player is obsessed with the occult and enjoys the horror that they are surrounded by, they receive a +2 damage bonus to all attacks. 19. Swimming - Player is a strong swimmer. Increased speed while swimming, additionally they are capable of holding their breath for a long period of time, Immunity to Suffocation. 20. Stamina/Athletics - Player is in very fit shape, +10 to Max HP. 21. Climbing- (Requires Stamina/Athletics) Player is very agile and is able to climb most structures or walls.. 22. Woodworking/Carpentry - Player is skilled with carpentry and wood, capable of constructing barricades, melee weapons and fortifications (Note: crafting takes time) 23. Unarmed Combat - Player is skilled in fighting with their fists. Player gains a +6 damage while Unarmed and +2 to defense. 24. Weapon Proficiency (Thrown) - Player is skilled in fighting with throwing weapons, gains a +2 damage to all thrown attacks as well as thrown explosives. 25. Electronics (Other than vehicles or computers) - Player is skilled with Electronics, capable of creating and using useful gadgets such as radios, remotes, tazers etc. 26. Chemistry Knowledge (bomb making, etc.) - Player has a basic understanding of chemicals and is capable of creating home-made explosives from common materials. 27. Pharmaceutical/Narcotic Knowledge - Player is aware of numerous properties of drugs and knows the benefits and drawbacks of many substances. 28. Cooking - Player is a capable cook. They are able to prepare food and remove the taint from infected raw meat. Food prepared by Cooks also heal 1-5 health. 29. Pain tolerance - Player is accustomed to pain, gaining +3 to defense. 30. Avenger - Player becomes enraged when an ally is hurt, attempting to rescue them and gaining a +4 bonus to damage but a -4 to defense.

Username: Tonas Name: Hunter Westfield Age: 26 Previous Occupation: Hunter worked as a steel mill foreman for roughly five years before the Outbreak. He had earned a promotion the day before the spread of the virus to finally allow him to pursue a better paying position in management. Irony is a cruel mistress. Appearance: Hunter stands at around 6'2" with wavy brown hair, goatee and green eyes. He is of muscular build due to his work. He's been wearing the same clothes he was wearing since the Outbreak: A long sleeve plaid shirt covered by a leather vest and a toboggan as well as rugged slacks. Relevant Bio: Hunter was a high-school dropout, not because he was unintelligent, but because he had to take care of his brother and sister after his mother died to an illness when he was 17. He took a job at the local steel mill and slowly worked his way up the corporate ladder to a decent position with a respectable pay. He spent many years operating heavy machinery and working with axes, hammers and other tools, giving him much of the strength that he possesses today. The outbreak changed everything, however, he was at the mill when he had first heard the news and darted home to attempt to rescue his beloved siblings who were likely home from school only an hour or two before. Sadly, he was unable to reach them, for the bus never reached home, it was overturned on their street, all the passengers dead.. or worse. Since then, Hunter has grieved for the loss of his younger siblings but still strives to survive.. Additional Information: Hunter was never much of a ladies' man, considering he spent most of his time working, he had shared his bed before, but primarily with women who were only after his looks. Due to this fact and the fact that he still mourns the loss of his family, he is typically distant and contemplative when he is not struggling for his life. Username: SilithDark Name: Pansy Anni Ferrel Age: 25 Previous Occupation: Martial Arts Instructor Appearance: Pansy is of moderate height, not tall, but not extremely short either. She is quite muscular, though one wouldn't guess it at just a glance; she is solidly built, barely an once of fat on her. Her long brown hair is kept in a tight, simple braid that travels half way down her back, her pale blue eyes seem to hold no emotion. Relevant Bio: Growing up with four older brothers and a name like Pansy made her hard in life. She was ribbed constantly by her brothers for many reasons, being a girl, being the youngest, having the name she did, and the list goes on. Her mother died shortly after she was born and so it's not as if Pansy, who often just goes by Ann, or her last name, has ever had a woman role model. Certainly aunts had tried... but she took after her father. When she was old enough, her father enrolled her into martial arts classes, to which she took like fish to water. She was never too studious in school, preferring sports to tedious school work, but she finished high school at least, for that's what her mother would have wanted. She had a permit to carry a concealed weapon, as her father was quite over protective of her and made her get one as soon as she could, but it's not as if anyone needs anything like that in a lawless world such as this. Additional Information: She is greatly insomniatic. She does not sleep nearly as much as a regular person, which has come in handy recently. Instead she carries a large supply of energy drinks and the like with her wherever she goes for her body often can't keep up with her and will tire. Username: Ale Posselna Name: Donata Savia Age: 24 Previous Occupation: Lab assistant at Morrisville College Chemistry Department. She was in the lab preparing solutions when the Outbreak started. Appearance: Donata is very tall (6.1 ft) and has a slender figure. She has short straight red hair, pale skin covered with freckles that gets sunburned quite easily and big hazel eyes. She wears a hooded overcoat that disguises her physical attributes. She also carries a bag where she has stored some material from her lab. Relevant Bio: Arrived at the country as a foreign exchange student and ended up working at the University after graduation. Her family lives in a small town in Italy and they kept in contact at a regular basis, until the Outbreak changed all that. Donata considers herself extremely lucky for having survived the Outbreak unarmed, but she fears her luck will run out soon if she is forced to survive alone for much longer. She hopes to find other survivors that can help her reach the ocean to return home. Additional Information: Despite what happened, Donata still has faith in the future. Username: Zulma san Name: Guillaume Dupuis (pronounced: Gi-yome) Age: 30 Previous Occupation: Chef in a French restaurant Appearance: 6'7 for 250 pounds all in muscle, Guillaume looks more like a bouncer than a cook. He wears his black hair short and his eyes are of a dark brown with a hint of gold, looking sometimes almost black. His skin is tanned from outdoor exercises. At the moment of the outbreak, Guillaume was coming back from two days of hiking. He is wearing hiking boots and comfy yet warm clothing and a backpack with the necessary to survive and hunt 48 hours in the wild. Relevant Bio: Guillaume is French. He moved to the USA with his parents when he was 16. He hated it right away. He soon found himself involved in the night life of Morrisville, not that there was much of it. Night rallies became his passion and he was good at it, whatever vehicle he was driving. Adrenaline and muscles were his friends. That was until he met Helene. Young, pure, a professional climber, she gave sense to Guillaume's life. He grabbed the first professional training which would accept him: cooking. In a couple of years, he became chef assistant, then chef in the only French restaurant of Morrisville. He had his little fame but never lost it thanks to Helene. Turning his back to his past, but not to his love of adrenaline and exercising, he chose the outdoors with hiking, hunting and climbing with Helene. Climbing was a real challenge due to his size and she used to tease him a lot about it. But practice and a great teacher made him good at it. One year before the outbreak, Guillaume and Helene raced up a cliff and Helene slipped, falling several hundred feet. Since then, Guillaume went on his life more by habit than real choice... Additional Information: His mother was American and his father French. He is bilingual and has barely no accent when he speaks in English. He is not much of a talker. Name: Sharon Smith
Age: 19

Appearance: Sharon is a diminutive young woman, standing around five feet tall. She commonly wears a plain ball cap pulled down over her curly, sand-colored hair. A sweatshirt and blue jeans are her normal attire, along with a little bit of paint from her last paintball match. Tanned only on her face and ears, her skin is pale from wearing protective gear outside, and sitting at her computer while inside. None of her friends would call her pretty, although this may be as much from her masculine attitudes and lack of attention to her appearance as anything else.
Relevant Bio: Sharon is an only child from a well-off upper-middle class family that lived in the suburbs. Her parents held her back in school because of her small size, but not because of her intelligence. She actively participated in her high school's paintball club, as well as the computer club.
Computer games introduced her to the world of first-person shooters, and she had started working with a small group of friends on their own open source shooter. Passionate about games involving warfare, she repeatedly trashed oponents in games both online and in real life. Her interest in computers lead her to branch out into electronics, and she frequently got compliments at tournaments on the quality of her home-made game controllers.
In her sophomore year the brother of a friend took her out to the firing range for the first time and taught her to shoot his 1911 .45 pistol, his .357 Marlin lever-action, and to shoot clay pigeons with his Stoeger over/under 20 gauge shotgun. Her new-found enthusiasm with guns (combined with her online enjoyment of shooting people) lead her to join the high school's paintball club. A close second to shooting real weapons, she enjoyed the club's skirmishes with a ferocity that worried some of the other players. To play up to their fears Sharon started wearing gear with demonic symbols emblazoned on it.
Her parents had become worried as the end of the school year approached that some of Sharon's outre behavior might affect her college chances, but since Sharon had never been bothered by her parent's concern over her lack of interest in going to church, she didn't let their concern over schools bother her either.
Additional Information: Sharon didn't realize it until now, but she has been waiting her whole life for something like this to happen. She can't imagine the novelty of the situation every wearing off.

Username:King Koolest Person Name: Luke Mijo Jucko Age: 26 Previous Occupation: Stunt Performer Appearance: Luke usually wears a helmet that hides most of his wavy black hair. He is 5'10" and is thin. With a dirty black shirt and torn-up pants from his motorcycle tricks, Luke usually runs in sneakers that have no laces to slow him down. He could be called physically fit. Relevant Bio: Luke is a motorcycle performer that loves to hunt with a pistol. He was somebody who was always forgetful and would usually forget his keys. He finished school but never decided to go to college. He never liked the idea of being stuck at one place at a time. His only brother also was a motorcycle performer, but his brother was safer than Luke. Their Mom died giving birth to a third brother, who later died at age of 2. His Dad left them and died in a plane crash. Then the Outbreak happened. His brother stuck with him until one fateful day when he left Luke to find a safe shelter. He did found one, but had been cut by a tree limb and the zombies killed him. During the outbreak, his prized motorcycle was lost in the frenzy of survival and Luke was forced to rely on his capabilities of picking locks and hot wiring vehicles to get himself to safety. Username: Ultimashade Name: Johnson Maveri Age: 37 Previous Occupation: Gunslinger Appearance: Johnson is about six feet tall, but weighs only about one hundred eighty pounds, giving him a lean appearance. His skin is dark brown. His eyes are pitch colored, his hair is ebony colored. His bright teeth contrast against his body. He is muscled in his arms from his time before being a gunslinger. He has a shaved hair cut, meaning he has hair, but not much of it. He wears a white T-shirt and blue jeans. He wears black dress shoes, once again, contrasting his casual look. Relevant Bio: Johnson was, before the infection, a professional gunslinger, he knew almost all there was to know, he could even fix his gun with his eyes closed. Before he was a gunslinger, he worked at one dead end job to the next, all because he was arrested. He was catious about everything, which is probably why he is still alive. He started off as a tattoo artist, he was fired when a customer caught an infection. He became a hunter next, showing people how to kill smaller animals, but was removed for shooting at another human. His final job, the only one that would take him, was the profession of gunslinging for show. His accuracy was impressive, but the virus struck when his life went about as low as it could go. Additional Information: His first task was to get more smokes for himself. He became a fearless monster, but he still had one fear, when he was younger he was caught in a thunderstorm, separated from others, since then he's had an unearthly fear of thunderstorms and will shoot with his eyes closed, lowering his ability to focus by much. Username: twiztid_lil_cookie Name: Aidan Dagon Age: 24 Previous Occupation: Emergency Room Nurse at Our Lady of Faith in Morrisville Appearance: Standing at all of five feet, four inches this naturally white haired young woman with one ice blue eye and one dark brown can usually be found wearing her hospital issued scrubs. Sometimes she may be seen in a baggy pair of cargo pants and a white cotton tee-shirt that has long since been stained with blood. Her normally mildly tanned skin is in pristine condition with the exception of her entire back, right shoulder, the front of her pelvis and left side of her ribs, which are covered in tattoos which will be described if ever seen. Relevant Bio: Aidan was actually supposed to be on duty the night the first people began coming in with the early signs of infection, but due to a lucky trade with one of the newer staff she ended up having the night off for one of her most favorite past times, getting a new tattoo. Arriving to work the next day, three hours before her shift even started she came into find that this previously thought "new flu" was turning out to be something much more. Patients were becoming unusually aggressive towards there attending nurses and doctors alike, even attacking other patients in the waiting room! Knowing something was beyond messed up with everything going down she urged some of her other on duty friends to simply go home to there families, she was met with many no's as well as a few then who would help these people, but only two of them took up her advice and headed home to there children. It was only a couple minutes later after giving the charge nurse behind the desk her middle finger and heading out the doors into this new nightmare. Additional Information: She is used to blood, gore and almost any kind of bodily fluids, and has what seems like a never ending supply of latex gloves.
