Khindel, seeing teaching Azar how to be a woman a lost cause, decided to go about his days without further bothering the lioness. The sun had risen many hours ago, and Khin'del had taken to training. Now the sun was at it's peak, and it was time to rest till it's harsh light began to wain.
It was then the Phoenix-marked lion happened across the one his Juve friend, Xiuh, called Quidel.
"Greetings."

The young adult, Quidel, nodded in greeting. "Good day." This must have been a rogue that had joined. Quidel didn't recognize him. He'd heard Xiuh talk about a bird-marked male that told her all the virtues of being a lady. Quidel had to note when she told him this he had first wanted to laugh, then Xiuh explained the facts behind it, and he was rather impressed. This Khin'del must have been a very knowledgeable lion.

"Little Xiuhcoatl talks fondly of you." Khin'del said with a smile, seating himself before the lion.
Quidel seemed like someone trying to fit a designated mold, but was just too small. The boy was supposedly a soldier, yet Khindel had watched him fight once, and the boy was slow. He thought too much. The title of tactician was much better suited to the male.

"Like wise. She says you taught her how to be a lady." Quidel sat down and offered an unsure grin. "I must admit, it would be nice to see such ideals catch on."
Indeed, he would. There were some lovely females seeking entrance to the pride. They were certainly more feminine in their actions than most other females in the pride and...there was a lure towards them. Quidel knew his mother wouldn't approve of someone not of true firekin spirit. Quidel was too related to most of those who were firekin by blood. Sigh. And his mother's approval was all he had ever wanted....

"I can't help but notice that you seem a little morose." Khin'del observed. What could be troubling such a youth? Of course, Quidel could be no younger than himself, but it was in the lion's countenance...
"I apologize if I am prying."

Quidel sat down and gave a somewhat embarrassed look. "Manly urges." ugh "And no outlet for relief."
Didn't everyone's heart long for someone at some point or was Quidel just weak? Quidel had never really had the heart to battle. His fire burned for problem solving. And he had a problem. He wanted to settle down, but the candidates for such weren't good.

"ah," Khin'del nodded. "You see, in my upbringing that was never a problem. If you...desired you found a female and relieved your urges whether she was willing or not. Since then I traveled and gained a much greater respect for women."
All truth, the Khindel neglected the much harsher details that 'finding a female' entailed.
"You're a blood-firekin though, aren't you?

Quidel nodded. "My mother was the queen of the traditionalists - Kenna." He spoke her name with much love and idolization. If so desired, for his mother, he'd throw himself into the very flames of hell, or drag Finar-si herself down from heaven! If onyl he could do such a thing...

"Well,,.." Khin'del exclaimed, somewhat surprised. "That definitely puts a damper on things..living up to your mother's expectations no doubt. Tell me - do you believe that there shall ever be an uprising again - one side versus the other?"
Khin'del found himself leaning towards the traditionalist side. Then again, he'd always rooted for the home team.

Quidel shook his head. "If there are any plans, I've not heard of them. Though if it does happen, I plan to be on whatever side my mother is. Even if it's not that which one would expect... Her beliefs are my own."
Quidel wondered if one day there would be another rebellion. He didn't think so. Not unless something big provoked it.

"I see. Well, my friend, I wish you well. I must be finding dinner. Be seeing you around. Take care of little Xiuh."
Khin'del, with that, stood, stretched, and bid Quidel farewell. He had a good bit to think on now. History always repeats itself. Would he be alive to see the next rebellion? Hmn.... A part of him hoped so. If only to try and etch his name in history...

"I shall," Quidel said, also standing. "farewell, Khin'del. Keep spreading the word of feminine women and I'm sure we'll stave off any rebellion!" Quidel could only hope. Ah - peace and womanly women. And skulls. There had to be skulls. After all, he was still Quidel the Bone Collector!
Yup. Peace, Women and Skull! ...good lord what kind of firkin was he? Maybe once his hormones settled down he'd think more like a firekin again.
