Azar had a very busy day, pretty much all day she was doing one thing or another. She felt like every time she turned around she was doing something else. When she first woke up she was right away off to do something she had to do a little bit of training for a cub, after that sister time, sparing with father, fighting off a rogue, nap time, help some one with a hunt, water!, talking with a friend and then spending a little bit of time with An. she had a bit of a soft spot for the cub. She even stopped to talk to her sister and guard the den as she took care of the male that was hurt. Now was Azar time, she wasn't ready to head back to the den yet she was still awake. Most of the pride was slumbering and she just wasn't ready to sleep yet. She wasn't exactly wired she was starting to calm down after the night yet she still wasn't that ready to curl up in her den and let her mind settle while she went to sleep, no, the closest thing to that was she was going to enjoy the night until she felt like falling asleep then she would drag herself to her den and sleep.
She laid out on a dune, stretched out and enjoying the cool temperature while it was here. The sun couldn't over heat her fur during the night. She looked up at the sky remembering what her and her sister used to talk about. Azar was the black sky that the night came with and her sister was the bright stars that lit up the night. She always thought about that during the night. She purred idly as she looked at the sky, trying to count the stars that she could see, there was just so many of them. She really wished that she could count them. She moved her paw enjoying the feeling of the sand moving under it. She couldn't ask for a more perfect night.

Khin'del was quiet in his approach, despite the low growl in his throat at threatened to escape. It wasn't until he was upon her, nose at the back of her neck that his shadow cast over her, cast down by the light of the moon above that his teeth bared slightly and he growled low in his throat.
A simple greeting laced with playful 'anger', or something more carnal?
He'd repetitively claimed that one night he'd make her his, and despite whatever protest he encountered, he was determined to make her realize the inevitable.

Azar tensed for a moment as she felt something at the back of her neck. It was only a second before she rolled over hissing and raising a paw to slap whoever it was that was near her. She made sure to get away from the creature, she then processed who it was. "Oh." She said quietly before sitting back up the way she was before glaring at him for a moment before laughing. "Don't do that again, you scared me." She huffed slightly then flicked her tail around stretching her paws out before looking at him on more.
"I thought you were sleeping." She grunted as she looked at him letting out a laugh. "I thought I was the only one awake." She smiled slightly at him before rolling over on her stomach as she watched him.

"Haven't you ever been told that thinking can be dangerous?" a brow was lifted on his calm aristocratic face. He sat down where Azar had previously been before fleeing.

Azar stared at him before shrugging. "I guess it can be." she chuckled before moving a little closer to him, flicking her tail around behind her. She was feeling more and more comfortable around him. She was truthfully not sure how she was feeling toward him at this point she had no idea at all. However she was just letting it go however it was going. "What are you doing up so late?" she asked curiously as she looked at him.

"No reason. Could be a multitude of things, it could be none. Must there be a reason behind everything?" Sometimes things just...happened. And depending on if the turn out was good or bad, sometimes they were called 'accidents'. Accidents were the bad, but the good was often called a 'blessing.' In the end what you called it didn't matter to him. Things just happened.

Azar shrugged and then smiled at him shaking her head. "I guess it doesn't I was just curious." she leaned into him a little bit before looking back up at the stars. "I used to sit up here with my sister and watched the stars." She laughed a bit before nodding. "We were little and we would sneak out when everyone was sleeping and watch the stars." She told him before flicking her tail around a little more. "We're both to busy to come out lately but we still do some times. It's a wonderful thing to do when you can't sleep." She had that problem some times, she hated not being able to sleep.

Khin'del never had any problem getting to sleep. If he wasn't tired he trained till he was, then sleep came easily.
"There are some prides that are only active at night. One thought i had, was that with so many dark colored lions in this pride having to fight against the heat of the sun, why not have those lions who are active during the day, and have the darker pelted ones active and protecting the borders at night? I have noticed that there is a lack of protection around there at night..."

Azar rolled her eyes before chuckling."I don't see why you hang around here if you have such a problem with these things." She laughed a little bit then stretched herself out. She then stopped making it so her belly wasn't so exposed before she let out a yawn. "There are some who protect the borders but it's up to them. I don't mind the heat, you get used to it." She laughed a little bit. "Some times it's annoying but it's nothing that I can't deal with." She looked up before nodding. "There are some out there." sehe nodded before looking at him and winking. "They're just harder to see"

"mmm, then you know not that one night I traveled a good distance into the lands without once being apprehended? I've tested the borders. You place a little too much faith int your pride. Their reputation might keep some away, but there are some that are drawn to that and would feel highly honored to defeat a pride of such reputation...not saying that it would happen, but your mind must be open to the possibilities. Being humble is the best defence a pride can have, sometimes."

Azar shrugged at him before shaking her head. "Not many wander around here, they don't like the desert. She laughed a little bit before smiling at him nicely. "Do something about it, your part of the pride." She rolled over and leaned against him nudging him slightly. "My dad is a good guy he'll listen to what others have to say." She nodded before stretching his paws out some. "He will happily take into consideration to what is going on in the pride, he loves the pride." She nodded once more before closing her eyes.

"It is only tactful to wait untill a newcomer has some sort of seniority before bringing such suggestions to someone who would be able to execute said suggestions." And Khin'del had tact. or at least he liked to think he did.

Azar looked at him and shook her head. "Well I think it would be considered no matter how long you've been in the pride, you're part of the pride and all." She shrugged before flicking her tail around a few times then leaned over and nipped at his ear.

Silence and the flicker followed as Khin'del didn't feel much like talking any more. #1 reason to be female; so you can always have the last world. Reason #1 to be gay; to not constantly have the urge to hit your head against something during a debate. He was neither. Damn.

Azar purred quietly at the sound of him not talking she stared back up at the stars enjoying their glow, she was happy. She was feeling a lot more comfortable about him, there was a few things that still ticked her off but it wasn't as bad anymore. She nipped at his mane before closing her eyes enjoying the wind brush through her fur.
