Would you rather read the book or watch the movie?

Depends. I'll read the book, unless if the plot drags on and gas no partcicular point, then I veer to movie. I was like that with the Lord of the Ring movies/books. The books just.. lagged on but the movies were very good. The same thing with Eragon, but I loved the book wayyy more than the movie. I couldn't even watch the first 10 minutes of it, no joke. Twilight dissappointed me too because the book was better than the movie.

I'm much more of a reader. I too, saw Twilight and New Moon. rolleyes They were both not what I expected but the way I see it is at least I get to see something that is based off of the books. I am currently waiting to see the first House Of Night book. They are a great series. 3nodding

I'd definately rather read the book. First off, I'm not too big into TV, and second, you never get all the detail and feeling from the movie that you would from the book.

This really depends on the book. I usually try to do both. If the book is really boring like the one I'm reading now I would prefer the movie.

I prefer the books to the movies. The movies always skip out on some of the more entertaining parts of the books or change them to make them more appealing.

It really depends Like if it was harry potter I would read the book because sometimes movies tend to leave out some rather imporant details

I prefer the book, because it's easier to put yourself into the role of the main character. It's much easier to relate to them. When you watch a movie, the person playing the role is obviously themselves, and it's a lot harder to put yourself into it.
I do love seeing movies that I've read the books too though. I think the Harry Potter movies have done quite a good job. The Twilight series...ugh. I love the books, but I simply just cannot stand the movies. Queen of the Damned pissed me off beyond all hell, as they didn't even include nor mention Maharets twin, Makare. The other Vampire Chronicle movies didn't do too well either in my opinion. I actually enjoyed the Lord of the Rings movies more than the books. They followed them well, without having the feeling of being utterly bored with parts of it.
