lol hardly... its getting even worse... not because the city is loosing money or what ever... but because the busses that run inside detroit city limits are DDOT, and the busses that run everywhere else are privatized SMART bus. SMART bus is trying to get DDOT to die so they can buy up the city busses. they are trying to kill it by ******** with their schedules and not letting DDOT know. like having the 23mile to downtown gratiot bus (the one i would be taking) once reaching 8mile not stop at any of its previously designated stops.... without telling anyone prior to changing this rule.
doesnt really ******** things up for me... but its pretty bad. |

Psycho Lee harrr... Even though I gave them 3 weeks notice they say they might not be able to give me the time off... three other people (none of them in my department) are asking for time off... good for them. I told them to give me at least one day off, if they can. are you going to buy the regular $30 pass or the unbelievably cheap (LOL) $65-70 sponsor badge? Seems like if you spend double for admission you get a nice t-shirt, a custom badge, and a suite with free food and pop. And yet every anime convention I've been to has had only ONE admission price and you got the suite with the free food no matter who you were... oh Gir Tygrin.. you greedy b***h... rolleyes (guess you can't run a con on good will though...)
not in DEEEEETROIT at least!
yeah ill tough it out on the 30.... if i even go... ive been to meets before... more scary than fun...

Have yet to be raped at any meet... cuddled, scritched, tickled, hugged, but they kept it above the belt, even if they were a little too touchy feely.
They put up a programming schedule. You should check out the convention war stories panel, then... horror stories of cons gone bad. There might be other people who have tails tales of being accosted at cons. And you could tell your own horror stories... ninja
Mort doesn't seem like she'd be willing to come. She's saving her money to fly to New York to meet some guy she just met online and sleep with him... bad move I think. if she's that desperate I'd consider... satisfying... her.... maybe.... neutral

I just don't know if I'll have fun or be bored. Last anime cons I went to, one I spent most of my time at the Adult screening room laughing at bad anime porn, and the other I spent most of my time in the video game room getting nommed on (horror story, being chewed on by a drunk at an anime con...)
Edit: of course, one of my biggest problems at cons is that two things I want to do will overlap, and then I'll have like 3 hours of doing NOTHING, with nothing that interests me.
Also, I have to figure out how to dress 80s....
