Nywele lay under a tree watching some cubs play as he waited for Amani. He watched Uggi enter act with her sibling with a smile. Though he and Amani spoiled her like she was their own cub, it wasn't quite the same. Specially since Nywele knew Uggi would one day be his banu, so he wanted to keep the more father figure feeling out of it. He hopes Amani would soon bare cubs for him, he also wanted an heir of sorts. Though he was happy these things would make him feel complete.

She had kept quiet. At least, as quiet as she could when she first realized that she was feeling out of sorts. It was probably because she wasn't sure that she was--well, pregnant. It had been a shocking idea, even though she had tried so hard to get that way. But it was time to tell her pad.
She hesitated, watching him watch the cubs with a slight smile. This was her triumphant moment as a beybanu, and she needed to do it properly.
But what if she was wrong?
She jerked to a stop, a shocked look on her face, well within sight of the lion. What would she do?

Nywele flicked his ears forwards as he scented Amani. He turned to look at her with his normal large smile. He was such a lucky pad to have such a perfect beybanu. Although she almost looked....chubby at the moment. Not that he would mind a plump female after all that meant a healthy female it was just odd that he had not notices it before now.
He tilted his head a bit why had she stopped in her approach? Nywele stood to his paws and headed towards Amani. "Hello my Beybanu." He said greeting her with a gentle head bump. "Is something wrong Amani?"

She jerked and flushed for some odd reason, looking over at the cubs again before glancing up at her pad with a slightly shaky smile. "No, no, of course not!" she said a bit too quickly. She took a deep breath, forcing herself to calm down.
"I mean, it's a beautiful day, don't you think?" she asked, making it even more obvious that she was avoiding something.

Nywele raised a brow and blinked. Why had she just jerked away from him? He followed her gaze to the cubs and stared at them for a moment before turning back to her.
"Yes my beybanu it is a beautiful day, but why did you just jerk away from me. Something tells me you aren't telling me everything Amani."
Nywele looked concerned more the upset by her actions. He wondered if she might be sick or something.

"It's um, well, ah--" she looked around, a bit too wildly. "I think I need to talk to you," she whispered. "In private, that is. Where nobody can hear us, so if I'm wrong then you're the only one who knows how silly I'm being, but if I'm right--"
She looked very much like a little girl with her first secret. It couldn't possibly be as big a deal as she was making it out to be! But she sure seemed positive that it was.

Nywele's look was just even more worried. It didn't even cross his mind that it could be something good. "Alright then let's head to the den right away....should Uggi come...no wait you said alone. She won't miss us for a little while we can come check on her a bit later." The god was obviously worried he looked over his shoulder to where Uggi was before starting to trot towards their den. "Come on then." Nywele begged he wanted to know what was going on as soon as possible.

She nodded and headed for the den, her mind rushing over what she was going to say and totally failing to come up with anything. When they got there she started pacing, a nervous, and extremely out of character expression on her face.
"I would never, ever, EVER lie to you," she started out abruptly. "Not on purpose, and I don't want to get your hopes up only to be wrong, but I'm almost positive--"

Nywele swallowed a deep breath he didn't want to keep showing that he was so upset right now. He jumped up onto the pile of grasses and pelts that was their he settled down. He watched her pace and flicked his ears back while listening to what she said.
"Amani...I know you won't, I love and trust you my beybanu. Now, out with it already. What is this all about? Before I loose my mane from worry over your strange behavior." Nywele said digging his claws into a pelt under him.

She nodded and took a deep breath, sitting properly and looking at him. "Well," she said. "I've been feeling slightly out of sorts recently, and I had that conversation with Faiz's beybanu, she's a wonderful female, you know? She had this massive litter, and I was asking what it was like to be pregnant--"
She took another deep breath, knowing she was rambling. "And I think I might be," she let drop like a bomb.

Nywele blinked as she rambled a bit, what did Faiz's beybanu have to do with anything? Pregnant? Wait was that the word he heard just now.
His ears flicked forwards as she delivered her news. "Really? You might be pregnant?" Nywele asked his voice raising slightly with excitement. "Oh! I do hope you are my Amani!!!" Nywele pranced his front paws a bit. "What a glorious time it shall be for you and me!! Oh I'm so excited!! Wait that's what all the fuss was about? I mean its exciting but you were acting like...well I'm not sure like you had done something very wrong."

"I was worried I might be wrong," she admitted, shyly. "I mean, I want it so badly that I might start imagining that I am, and then when I turn out not to be I'll look like such a fool." She sighed. "I don't think we should tell anyone just yet. This is my first time, you realize, or at least, I hope it's my first time. What if something were to go wrong?"

Nywele reached his paw out and pulled Amani to him. "If you're wrong ....well we will just keep trying won't we." Nywele said with a bit of a laugh. "Everything will be ok...." Nywele thought about it for a moment. Mortals had been known to die in child birth. That made him shiver slightly just from the thought of it. "I have faith that nothing will go wrong. You are very strong my Amani and I am here for you....though I must say when it comes to actually giving birth I'm not sure I'll be much help." He said trying to add some lightness to the matter. Nywele smiled he wanted to be very excited and go tell everyone, but for Amani he would wait and be sure. Though with the chubbiness he had noticed on her, he now hoped it was the weight of cubs.

She leaned against him, sighing happily now that he agreed with her. "Oh, I bet they'll be so beautiful," she said, daydreaming for a moment before sitting up straight again. "We need to cub proof the den!" she told him. "We need to put down a much larger bed and make sure there's nothing that's poisonous for them to chew on and--Oh, I need to get to work right away!"

"They have no choice but to be beautiful with a mother so gorgeous as you." Nywele said enjoying this moment. He blinked as she snapped back to her practical self.
"Agreed......OH! And we need toys!!" Nywele let out a bit of a childish chirp. He had not had a childhood or he couldn't remember it, so toys had always fascinated him."Amani how can I help? Or can I go make toys?" Nywele grinned wide this was so exciting and even if she wasn't pregnant at least they would be ready and Uggi could test out the toys!
