Van had quickly forgotten the lesson he'd learned not to long ago with his brother one cold day. Cause right now the little ball of fluff was out on his own on an 'adventure' out in the white abyss that was Gods Haven. The little god didn't pay much mind how far he was going as he trotted happily. The little lad off in his own world.

That was til he looked over his shoulder for his brother who wasn't there. The youngsters face dropped. Judeau was always there , always with him. But right now he wasn't.

"Ju-judeau!? " He questioned the white abyss. Snow continued to fall silently but no reply could be heard. "JUDEAU!" He shouted again. His wings were out and his stance was expecting, but still no sign of his brother could be heard or seen. The god of innocence tail went limp and his wings wilted back to his side.

It was starting to get cold out here all alone. Still the bad memory from before did not ring any bells or haunt him. The fear was fresh and new as if he'd never gotten him self in this sort of trouble before.

All life was connected in a cycle, a balance, where there was life there must also be death. Some creatures had to die so that the rest could live, the same was true among predator and prey alike. Even the young and the innocent were not spared this absolute. It was merciless, but it was vital, the alternative would have been disastrous to all life, to the life of the earth itself.

Ngaule knew this, she understood it, she understood why, really she did. Then why did it make her so sad? That kind of heavy heart-wrenching sad that she just couldn't shake. She wanted to save everyone, she wanted every creature to survive, so much that she ached with that wish. She never wanted anyone to have to perish for the sake of another, never again did she want to see the innocent die so young. Why couldn't she save them all?

A heavy sigh, it just didn't seem fair, yet she knew it was.

She had come to the haven to escape, to find peace from the cruelty of the world if only for a brief moment. Here there were no hunters or prey, just the beautiful quiet of the falling snow.

Van had run around in circles, but the snow had covered his tracks. The way back home could be anywhere. Lucky for Van, he was a god and would not die so easy out all alone in the cold of the snow. Still, that didn't make this any less scary. The god cub was terrified and it was obvious to any onlooker that he was scared and out of place.

Tears welled up behind his eye and fell, warming his cheek only to be turned to bitter cold after a moment s time. The cub didn't know what to do. Judeau always was there but now he wasn't and all of a sudden that made the world that much colder.

"Judeau..." He whined weakly to the white abyss. His voice was starting to get tired out from all this shouting.

With little hope, the cub circled and laid down in the snow. Waiting for his brother to claim him.

The goddess paused, ears flicking. She had heard something, a voice, the nearly silent sound of footfalls on the snow. Another god, it must have been, but the voice seemed small, young. A child?

She took several steps, her tall form stark against the snow, ears twitching with each step, green eyes searching for any trace of someone hiding in the snow. Where was it? She knew she had heard the sound, it had been unmistakable. Yet as she searched the snow, she saw only white.

"Hello? Where are you? Maybe I can help."

She could think of no other reason for even a god child to be wandering the cold snow alone, perhaps she could help him find his way home. Was that a hint of blue she saw? So faint, barely standing out from the snow.

"Are you okay?"

Van shivered in his little ball. He was alone and scared and cold and just not having a good day. His adventure was turning out to be a nightmare.

But then he heard a voice, female? Not one of his sisters and not his mom but it was a voice. The little cub lifted his head and squinted his eyes. The first thing that hit him was the purple, then the lioness slowly formed around it. Another god?

"No.." The cub sniffled. "I wanted to find a piece of the sky but now I'm lost," Tears streamed down his cheeks. Where was Judeau, where was mommy and daddy and his sisters and older siblings. More importantly where was Judeau.

The fact that his brother wasn't there to save him upset him more. He was glad that he was found, but he was sad it wasn't his brother come to the rescue.

"Who .. are you?"

Movement, there he was, the goddess sighed in relief. His fur was so pale that he had blended into the snow drift nearly perfectly. She might have searched for hours before she ever found him had he not moved, or at least longer than she would have liked to. At least she'd like to think she was a good enough tracker to have found him on her own.

"What are you doing out here alone?"

She had quickly closed the distance between them, now standing in front of the small cub, her head lowered so that her eyes were closer to his level, a gentle reassuring smile on her maw. He was so small (was she ever that small), he must have been very young. Silly little cub, he must have wandered away from his parents, where they out looking for him now?

"I'm Ngaule, what's you name?"

He was a cute little cub. Awww...don't be sad, I'll help you.

Van could only just stare for a moment. Was he really alone? He looked over his shoulder for Judeau expectantly only to find that he really was all alone. The cubs heart sank a little deeper in his chest.

"Y-yes," He said at last. It was clear by his voice he wasn't all to happy he was alone. Van gave her a small smile when she lowered her self to his level but it was a sad one. The cub could not hide his feelings for the life of him.

"You're names nice but I like Van'Kal and Judeau better," He nodded and pawed upward at her. "Im Van." He gave her a brighter smile. Saying his name was fun.

"Do you know Judeau?" His eyes lit up. Hopeful.

A small frown, he seemed so sad, lost, she hated to see him cry.

"Is Judeau your friend? Your brother?"

She had no way of knowing who the child meant, but she was at least fairly certain a cub would not call his parents by their names. So she had guessed Judeau must be a friend, or perhaps more likely a sibling.

Her head titled, searching the small cub for any obvious signs of injury, sighing in relief when it appeared he had not been harmed in any way (even in the haven it must be possible to fall, or worse, cross paths with a less friendly god). But he seemed okay, only lost.

"Van? I like that name. I haven't seen Judeau, but we can find him together. What does he look like?"

A reassuring smile.

The cub instantly believed this stranger. She could help him find him. The change in mood showed clearly on his face as he was now smiling a bright big smile.

"Judeau looks just like me and and and and hes my brother!" The cub did a little happy circle round and giggled. "You're a nice lady. I like you. Helping me find Judeau." He giggled again and rubbed his face to hers.

"Come on come on lets go lets go!" He bunny hopped toward a random direction. The cub had no idea where he was headed.

And it became instantly clear how the child had managed to get lost in the first place. Running off in childish excitement without really thinking, somehow she got the feeling this was not the first time he had been lost, or the last.

Shaking her head, she couldn't help but smile at the little cub, that excitement was infections. She had to be quick to catch up to him or he'd be lost again before she even had the chance to help.

"Well, that should make him easier to find."

Or harder. If Judeau was as pale as his brother, finding him in the snow would not be easy. She only hoped that knowing what to look for would help her to spot him.

"But I think we'll find him even faster if we fly."

She crouched, low enough that he could climb onto her back. On foot they could search for hours, wandering in the wrong direction, but from the air she could at least see where she was and find the little one's parents even if they missed is brother.

The cub wasted no time climbing on the females back. He had an obsession with flying and one day wanted to be able to use his wings. He felt so useless some times. Him and Judeau had tried flying and it hadn't been the most majestic of attempts.

Needless to say, Van was more then excited to fly on the back of his new found friend. Infact he giggled as he mounted him self on top of her (kay I lawled....). The little cub grabbed hold of her back as hard as he could so he wouldn't fall off during the flight.

"Ready!" He informed her. The cubs face was serious, he wanted to find his brother as quickly as he could.

Cub safely perched on her back, Ngaule stood to her full height. Even at her young age she was a tall goddess, towering over the snowy landscape, antlers perhaps making her seem even taller than she was.

"Hold on tight."

She gave him a small smile, wings unfolding, a certain determination in her gaze. And then they were off, pushed from the ground with a single beat of her wings, several more propelling them skyward.

Her gazed turned toward the ground, ears twitching, searching for any trace or glimpse of the small cub's brother or his parents. Surely he could not have wandered far?

Somewhere below, a small god had already begun his own search, calling out for his brother.

Van giggled with delight as the two soared through the air. He not so secretly tried to gather clouds as the two went. To bad for him he was to busy holding on to really give it a good try. But the cub pawed upward any how.

Wait, oh right brother looking lost. Haha.

Van turned his attention downward scanning the white scene. They were so high now it was harder to see. The cub squinted and scanned.

"BROTHER!" HE called. "JUDEAUUUU"

Her ears folded back against the cub's unexpected call (how could one so small have such a big voice). Shouting into the wind it was unlikely his voice would reach any ears but hers, but it didn't matter, she didn't have the heart to tell him.

A short dive, Ngaule flew closer to the snow-covered ground, searching for any sign of movement, a hint of blue, ears twitching to catch any sound. Unfortunately it was not so easy to find a small cub in the snow when he blended in so well.

Maybe they should look in a different direction...

As she turned, a sound caught her ear, a small child-like voice, calling out. Her eyes strained to see, flying toward the sound. Was the little cub's brother out looking for him on his own?

The child like voice did not catch Van's ears. His own yelling along with the whistling of the wind were to distracting. The little cub was crying out as loud as he could despite the fact his voice seemed to blow back right to him rather then carry.

Van was an innocent cub though and didn't know any better. He thought he was helping.

"JUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDDEEEAUUU!" He coughed feeling his vocals straining.

"Juuuudeeauuu," Poor cub had been yelling so hard he was getting raspy.
