It was a somewhat windy day, and that meant that the trees weren't happy. Who liked to get pushed around all over the place, anyway? They were empty for once, since most birds would try to find coverage somewhere else, as flapping trees didn't make the safest hiding places. Still, they weren't really in the mood to talk to her, and she herself wasn't in a very good mood because of this.
Instead of spending her time in front of the trees, she watched the ocean from a safe distance, the waves crashing on the shore, almost unaffected by the wind. Sometimes a wave would break too early because the wind set it off early, but as Jura didn't know the ocean well, she didn't know if that upset them or not.
"Hmmm, what am I going to do now?" she moaned, as she was more used to talking to the trees than talking to her fellow pride members. What a lame day.

She had not yet began to understand when the others spoke of their muses. She knew that they got some secret strength from the voices within their heads. She wondered what hers would be, and when it would be a little more obvious than lately. She could hear the voices, echoing around in her mind. But she really hadn't thought too much about what her muse would one day be.
Her lime green eyes gleamed as she rolled in the grasses, her back crushing the lush green beneath her. She had yet to meet many of the pride.. Other than her encounter with Lamya, she was currently alone. She had no one to speak with, and she was going to prove her loyalty to the pride.
Her ears perked when she heard the footfalls of another. She paused, rolling over to her belly, attention on the one coming closer. She was pretty, a green color that stood out against anything, and the orange around her throat and belly were rather striking. She smiled, standing, stretching her legs a bit before prancing closer.
"Hello?" She asked cautiously.

Jura was mildly entertained by the waves, but as they didn't speak to her, she could only stare at them blankly for so long. It was quite a relief to hear someone else approaching her, someone else to get some entertainment out of and to pass the time.
Her tail twitched as she glanced over, intrigued. Where were all the new ones coming from? She knew that outsiders were welcome, but the sudden jump made her a little antsy. If only because...what would their muse be?
"Hello," she replied, a little shortly. She had noticed the wing markings on her back, and wondered....wondered out loud. "Birds?" she asked, not clarifying that she meant her muse.

She had not yet learned a muse, and she was still curious as to how one got a certain muse. Would it strike her one day? Or would it be what she was closest to? She shrugged, and when the other spoke she perked her coal grey ears. She smiled, and stood a bit taller. She belonged here, and she wanted it to seem that way.
She was a larger lioness, even as an adolescent. Though she never really used her size to any advantage as she likely could have many times.
"Hello!" She replied, though she grew a confused look about her face when the other called her Birds. She shook her head, stammering a little.
"I.. Uh.. No? My name is Juno."

Jura watched her carefully. She could be lying! If only she knew what Jura meant. The trees wouldn't talk to her if they were busy talking to the birds that nested in their branches, and so Jura decided that birds were her sworn enemy. She...well, she didn't like to hate anything, but it was reeeeeally close to that.
"Okay, good," she said, pleased, still not clarifying what she meant. "I'm Jura," she replied with a short little nod. "Pleasure, Juno."
She paused for a moment, watching the waves. Doing the same thing, over and over and over. Didn't they go mad?
"What're you doing over here, anyway?" she asked, tossing it out there as a way of talking a bit more.

"I..Im listening for my muse." She responded, and watched the lioness as she watched the waves of the water. It was a gorgeous sight, though in Kunanda water had been plentiful. She never thought anything was boring, as any little thing was likely to catch the females attention.
"Its nice to meet you Jura." She said with a bow of her head in respect. She gave a light smile, and looked at the green lioness with her own green orbs.
"Do you have a.. a muse?" She asked, though she knew some didnt think of it as a muse, some thought of it as themselves. She wondered if it was something she was supposed to be listening for anyway..

Jura laughed. "Of course," she said, puffing up her chest. "It just sorta slammed me one day, but I couldn't be happier." Her tail twitched a bit as she thought about it, not realizing she was leaving her visitor in the dark. Oops.
"Er, well, you'll feel it soon. You'll probably just look or think of something one day, and there it is!" She beamed.
"My muse is trees, it's why I don't like birds. Even though the trees are my friends, they always prefer the birds over me." She hunched her shoulders a bit, almost as if the trees could hear her form this far out. You never knew just how far a whisper might go, though.
"So I'm glad you're not birds," she repeated.

"Well if thats the case, Im happy Im not birds either." She chuckled, flicking her tail side to side, then up in the air before letting it fall back upon the earth.
"I bet the trees are very fond of you. You even are the same color of the brightest season." She smiled warmly, hoping to ease the tension of the birds from her.
"I would never like birds, unless theyre a decent size and make a good snack." She smiled with a giggle.

Jura's tail twitched, though mer mind was relaxing. Good. That meant that this nice, though quite red, lioness would never be her enemy. She perked up at that thought. Jura was always up for a little rough and tumble, and some tricks, but a full blown enemy was not anything she desired.
"I'm glad," she said with a small, yet very genuine smile. "And thank you, I sure hope that they are. The smaller ones can be at times, but I think they get a little jealous of being smaller than the big trees, and relate to me size." In comparison to them, of course. Jura was pretty average-sized for a lion.
"If I catch any birds, you can have them as a snack," she added on, as she didn't even want to eat them, blech.

She smiled, feeling like it was nice to fit in among the lions. She had run from a life of solitude, and traded it in for a pride that could accept her. She wasnt average, as she was still quite large for an adolescent. It must have been the blood of the female's family. She had hailed from the Kunanda lands of course.
"You should teach them that nothing is gained by jealousy, but anger and missunderstanding." She chuckled, and smiled up at the other female.
"I shall be happy to eat them for you." She said with a snap of her jaws.

Jura stuck out her lower jaw, but only for a moment. SHe was one that was always tied with jealousy and anger towards the birds, and though it probably would be smart for her to not be, she couldn't help it. She would probably always be that way, with how much she wanted and demanded from the trees. She was their best friend, their protector! And yet they still liked those...
She blinked when hearing the other lioness snap her jaws, and her shook her out of her cloud of anger. After a few more blinks, she laughed. "Good, 'cause I wouldn't want them to rub off on me!"

The little female smiled and nodded, giving a nudge to her new friends shoulder. She backed away once the nudge was over, just to give the green lioness her space back. She wasnt sure if she had just invaded her personal boundaries, but she would atone if so.
"Ill make the wind whip them up and carry them off. Just you watch." She smiled, and flicked her tail with a yawn.. The busy day of traveling having finally caught up to her.

Jura didn't mind a little invasion. She never really bothered with personal boundaries unless they got really mad. Like that silly old lion that thought her shadow was so terrible. She stifled a giggle at that, knowing that she wouldn't really be able to explain the whole story to Juno.
"Tired?" Jura perked up. "If you are, I know the best place ever to take a nap. As long as you don't mind being nestled between some big tree roots. There's a little nest of grass, and you'll sleep real well. Promise!"

"Just show me the way!" She responded with a smile. Indeed her eyes were beginning to droop and she was feeling the pull of sleep. A nest sounded amazing, and being cooped between tree roots didnt sound half bad.
"Thank you Jura.. It was a good thing I met you today.." She smiled.

"Sure!" She was nodding towards the direction, but paused for a moment to smile. She felt the same way. Jura was a pawful, sure, but it was nice to have someone sit and chat with her without thinking she was too much. "I am too. Now, to get you there before you fall asleep!" The lioness laughed, and guided Juno to the spot.
It had indeed been a great afternoon!
