When devs nerf a fish , they make sure that is BIG nerf.

The reason they did it is because people would change the coding so that instead of getting a giftbox, they would get an item worth a bunch. Or coatls for themselves or something.

Memphis hasn't dropped items in a long time.

Octopi, squid, and yellow stars drop items - hermits, I think.

And I believe knights drop pgb's as well as hermits, though the odds on pgb's are very slim.
