The nights were getting shorter again, summer was almost around the corner. How he was enjoying the longer nights that he could stay up and prowl. He hated to lounge in the afternoons and in the mornings. He wanted to move, but the sun made him so lazy. For the most part anyways. With his pride, he had become more lazy then anything. Though he still kept himself as fit as he could. Keeping his power as strong as it took to keep him in charge of this place. He was boss, he loved it. Yet, at the same time he hated it. It meant that he had to stay here, meaning less females to trick. Less cubs to kidnap. Less of everything.
No matter, there was some fresh blood in the pride now. And he was more then happy to scout out. Perhaps take advantage of the few females he could yet still trying to make it not that obvious to Nan. Though, she wasn't that smart to catch on to his leopard whore ways. He couldn't help himself. He finds a pretty lady, and he just can't control himself at all. He had already taken advantage of 2 of the females, apart from his own mate, in the pride.
Thona was laying down, like he normally did at this time. Observing his pride, yet also just relaxing. Waiting for the cool of the night to hit at last. His eyes half closed as he scanned the land for something interesting.

He'd soon enough get his wish as one of those new females made her way into view, padding through the grass, unmindful of the sun as she went. If the heat was bothering her, she certainly wasn't showing it... In fact, her face didn't give away much of any emotion at all, it was schooled into a perfectly blank mask, gold eyes cold as they scanned over the land around her, taking it in, memorizing it for future use.
It had been a fluke that had led her to this tough pride, but she was glad for it, or at least, as glad as someone like her could be. Living alone, hunting alone, fighting alone, without orders and purpose. It was far too much of a chore. Thus was exactly what she needed. Someone to follow.. If she could.. Actually find that damn someone. Someone in charge. Sharp claws slipped out of white-tipped paws a moment, tearing into the ground as walked along it, pulling up grass and dirt with each step, the only sign she gave of agitation before they retracted, and she lightly shook the dirt away from her fur.
It was then that she took notice she'd gotten too near to another creature, lowering down a bit as she peered around until catching sight of Thona in the shade. He was still a few good bounds from her, and laying down, so she wasn't on very high alert, taking the time to study the leopard rather than taking any threatening or defensive actions.

His eyes scanned the land, though he didn't see anything too interesting. A flicker of purple in the grass, but he ignored it for a moment. He wasn't really worried if it was something or not. This was his land, he could take on anyone. He continued to just relax in the shade, slightly cooler then anywhere else at the moment. Though, not nearly as cool enough as he wished it to be.
He flicked his tail up and down, letting the sound of clinking bones fill his ears. It was a beautiful sound to him. He loved every bit of it, though it was quiet enough that he could ear everything else around him to. The sound of the grass as it hit each other with every passing wind. The music the trees made as they also hit up against each other in the wind. Though, it wasn't his type of music. He liked to hear sadness, screams, crying, anything that meant despair in the hearts of those around him.
He could just imagine it now, which brought a malicious grin upon his face for a mere moment. Ah, that was the life. He hadn't done much of that lately out side of his pride, but that was soon to change. His pride was growing faster then he could even imagine. It was a good time to actually start making those he chooses do his bidding, as well as himself. He wasn't about to let everyone else have all the fun.
