Obviously I speak of donations. What do you think an insulting "donation" is? Lately I've found that donors in the Charity/Quests Forum like to push that line. Yeah yeah, they're donating, so I should appreciate their "generosity". But c'mon. Is sending a trade or gifting an item worth 50g really generous?
Ugh, this irritates me so much I can't be oratorical.

Haha, isn't this so much as to pour out all those little change (more specifically, PENNIES) from our wallets as tip when we pay for our meals at restaurants? And yes, it "can be" annoying and "can be" insulting, but yet at the same time I understand and would consider two factors. That is sad i) people do want to donate, but do not have much to give; and (ii) they have too much crap in their inventory that they don't want it, nor would they like to waste their time, clicking selling/discarding them. Hence, what better way to 'get rid' of them than by giving it away 12 items per a trade.

I understand people want to be charitable and generous but on this website 50g really doesn't help at all, sadly. Even the 10k we give away is slowly starting to not help. All because inflation. I also understand wanting to get rid of junk items. But when the junk items reach the point where you can just click the trash button in the inventories, again it doesn't help much. So it's pointless to pawn it off on someone else.

Muisann: Eh, can't really dictate what or how people donate.
Aero: Exactly. :/

With paper/ink/bugs and other stuff I don't want that I get a lot of from DC, I usually just keep stock piling them till I come across a quest thread that wants those specifically.
Flowers I usually give as "thanks for the donation" things in the trade back. Either that or I give them to flower questers like above.
50g... I would be like "aw thanks" but I guess I don't really care? I mean if it's 10k+ I'm really grateful and really put forward my thanks, but 50g is more "It's the thought that counts". Junk items I don't care if I get them mostly because I can re-gift them easily to the afore mentioned quests, but maybe that's just me xD I can't say people gifting those items as genuine "generousity" to a quester when they need 5.6m is really helpful though.. but I cant say I've really been insulted by a gift.
OH WAIT. When someone gave me 2 chicken heads and a sponsorship item. Yeah that was pretty dumb >_>
Other than that though, nuthin'. o uoa

I don't know why someone would say that's generous.
Seriously, with the ridiculous inflation, I'm sure my net worth has gone up, but I can't afford anything these days unless I sell something (which is a possibility someday I guess) but it sucks running a charity where I don't discriminate and everyone gets at least 3k. But still, I've seen complaints D:
Seriously you don't like my 3k donations? Well you didn't have to do anything but fill out a few questions and there's a trade.
Honestly I wish I could donate more, but then less people would get donations.. I guess I could start getting picky xd

I call it generosity so people don't think I'm an ungrateful sod.
lol You could. I've seen you in there. Unless someone's an a** everyone gets something. xd

To me, it would depend. If someone was giving 50 gold and looked poor, I would think "Aww, that's sweet!" and accept it.
Some people, though, have tried to pawn junk off on me, I tried to refuse in the most polite way possible.

If people are obviously pawning junk on me I don't accept it. If you really want to get rid of it then anon gift me. Otherwise, I ain't taking your s**t. xp
That's what I do with the gold fish the Daily Chance gives me. xd

If someone tried to give me there old smelly items, I'd take them. And I'd be super thankful. Sarcastically so. stare
"Oh my gosh! A GOLDFISH! I've always wanted one! How did you know? My life is now complete!! And it's all thanks to you. Where was I before this goldfish!? I don't even know how I lived before you and your kind gift. How will I ever repay you? And my quest? Over! I don't even need this stuff anymore, I have a goldfish!" stare jerk.

It's totally insulting. Like they just want to get the title of "generous" without actually doing anything to earn it. Unless you've literally been on Gaia for two weeks, you can afford to donate more than 50 G. Or just don't donate at all.
