A breeze brushed over the soft terrain, moving the grass calmly over the hulk of a pink form resting serenely in the filtering light. A striped tail swayed, then twitched in the passive emptiness of his clearing, and black mane shifted back to reveal thoughtful blue eyes peeking through the trees that inhabited the jungle. The white sands of the region was vaguely visible through the foliage, but he could not spot anyone roaming around on the bleached land. The days had been slow, though some new members had been coming in, which did liven up things a little, but it seemed that the giant pink lion could never be satisfied by any amount of population number. Though socializing and integrating others into his family was his passion, there was always room for more.
It didn't seem like there were any new faces to greet today. Somehow, it was becoming rather uneventful... That in itself was peculiar for the male, especially when he had his own siblings, a twin, and close hyena siblings with which to play. Perhaps everyone was off doing their own duties to the pride; no matter, for there was always something for a watcher to watch.
So, with a profound step of his brown paw, the large lion tread through his prior place of resting, eyes eagerly scanned around for something to occupy his time. Much wasn't needed from his task of watching, but he might as well try to find something interesting to watch over, now that his day was started.
