To hunt, that was what she did and she often strayed from the main pride to do it. With such a large amount of lions in one place it was harder to hunt within the pridelands than it was to just stray a little and hunt outside. She had taken to doing this often these days, finding solace in hunting lone and bringing back a meal for her pride.
Her skull helmet strode upon her head as usual and through it's eyes she could see the world differently, or so she thought, the world was a special, different place when she had her skull on and it helped her to hunt as long as she was hunting not only for herself but for others. So she hunted and always successfully, she was a great hunter.
Hunting... Was not one of Raha's stronger points. It's not that he wasn't strong. Strength ran in his blood. It's more that he had little will to put that to use. Even against prey. Until the point he really had to, and he wasn't quite there yet. The happy male had a smile on his lips as he padded through the foreign grasses, eyes on the clouds rolling up above him paying absolutely no mind to where he stepped.
He lived his life freely as he always did, wandering, and playing like a foolish cub rather than the full grown male he was supposed to be. Still, that's just who he was, and he wasn't about to change that for anybody. He took no notice of the change in scent as he treaded into a pride's territory.
Mutia stopped mid step, the scent of an unknown lion came to her nose and she turned her attention to him. A slight laugh rolled over her lips as she watched him enjoying the world, galavanting through the grasses. "Are you lost?" She calls sitting down and staring through the dark eye sockets of the skull helmet she almost always wore.
Looking at the salmon tinted male she giggles a little, he as very bright and happy, her skull could tell her things like that.
He nearly tripped at the sound of the voice, looking up in curiosity to the female who had spoken, or, he had thought it had been a female but it was hard to tell with the giant skull covering her head! His head tilting a bit curiously, shaggy locks of salmon-tinted mane falling over blue eyes as he watched her a moment before offering a cheerful smile, padding up closer. " I cant be lost when I'm not going anywhere specific! Though it would be nice to know where this is? " He asked as he stepped up to the lioness for a closer look.
Watching the male lion quietly she takes a moment to size him up, deciding that he most certainly wasn't a threat she pushes the skull off her head to reveal her golden eyes. "You are entering th Kizigo'zaa lands." Sh states simply. "I'm out on a hunt would you like to come with me? You look hungry." She smiles, tipping the skull back on to her head,s he couldn't hunt without it, she had tried, but it was her source of power so to speak. She needed it to be a great huntress.
Ah so it WAS indeed a lioness. He offered another smile, unfamiliar with the name of the pride but it was no matter as he gave a nod of his large head. He may not hunt for himself but he could never turn down a lady. Besides, that could be fun. " Sure. I'd be happy to hunt with you. Though, I don't know about being hungry. Guess I get used to going without? "
He blinked a bit thoughtfully before his grin returned, moving up to her side until he was literally up against her, having no sense of personal space. " My name is Raha'kismat, by the way. You can call me Raha. Or just Kis, if you like that better? "
The dark lioness smiles and chuckles a little "I am Mutia, theres no real way to shorten that though." She chuckles a little leaning against him for a moment to let him know that personal space wasn't an issue for her either before she started to walk.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Raha, are you travelling some where specific? I don't know the world very well but I can probably point you in the right direction if you need to get some where." She smiles, though the smile was hidden by the large skull mask she wore, the smile was present in her voice.
" I could always call you Tia.. " He chuckled out, enjoying the attentions of his 'new friend', before moving with her as she pulled away and began to walk, falling into step beside her. " It's cute, it suits you. "
He considered her question for a long moment, actually thinking it over before he shook his head a bit, letting his eyes return to hers through the holes in the skull-mask. " No, not really. There's no where I need or what to go. I just... go. It's not so much that I don't want to stay in one place, but I haven't found any place I want to stay yet. " He chuckled out. " I suppose I'm looking for home?
Mutia looked at the pale male and smiles quietly, her golden eyes looking him over. "Home can be a hard place to find." She states continuing onwards, she knew what she was looking for, she had been following their scent since she moved away from the central pride lands. Nice juicy springbok. Not the biggest of herd beasts to catch, but it would provide a decent meal for at least a few of the pride lions.
"You may call me tia if you wish." She chuckles turning slightly, the herd was close, they would have to be quiet soon.
" Then that's what I will do. " He smiled, tail twitching as he he picked up on the changing scent. " I imagine I'll find one eventually. Even if I have to search every single bit of land out there... " He smirked, falling silent and slinking lower to the ground. He COULD hunt when he wanted to, truly... And he could smell the prey they were coming up on. He wasn't particularity hungry, but he was happy to help his friend feed her family.
Dropping to her belly the dark lioness touches Raha on the shoulder, she shakes her head quietly, "stay there." She whispers slipping off through the undergrowth. Her slender body latches to the ground as she slips through the long grasses, her golden eyes search through the skulls hollow eyes and she finds just what she is looking for. Leaping to her paws she races in to the herd catching a springbok by its haunches before pulling it down. She hardly ever hunted with another, she was a great huntress, her skull made her so, or so she felt.
He blinked at the command, but did as he was told, settling on his belly out of sight in the grasses to watch the female hunt. He was fully in the opinion that they were better at it anyway, and she definitely didn't try to prove him wrong! He let a grin spread over his lips as he watched Tia take the springbok down so easily, claws flexing in excitement as he crawled a little closer. But he didn't move close enough to interfere with the lioness. He hardly wanted any scars on his pelt.
Releasing the beast now it had been killed efficiently she looks back and smiles at the waiting male. "Come, have something to eat before I take it back to the pride." She smiles beneath her skull helmet, she always felt proud of her kills, but she knew that without her helmet she would not be able to hunt, it was a part of who she was. "You should stay here tonight, perhaps I will come back tomorrow and see you again?" she tilts her head a little, she liked the idea of seeing the male again, he was calm, he was friendly, he seemed like he would probable fit in to her pride like a charm. He didn't seem to wish to settle yet though, perhaps in a day or two she would invite him closer in and he could see the pride she lived in, maybe he would stay, it was not for her to decide, but she would certainly accommodate his friendship while he was here. He was a very lovely lion.
Still grinning, he got himself up off of the grass, padding up to take a few bits of her catch. But not before laying on the compliments. " You're quite a skilled huntress, aren't you Tia? I was surprised. " After a few nips out of the flank, he settled himself in the grass again, peering at her thoughtfully. " I can stay in the area for a little while, if you'll come and see me. If I find a friend, I like to stick around, get to know them. And I'd like to consider you a friend if you'd let me. " He nods seriously, curling his paws under him. " Just look around here and you'll find me.. possibly doing something stupid.. " He laughed out.
The lioness chuckles lightly and gives a gentle nod. "I will come back her tomorrow then. I need to get this food to the pride." She smiles, glowing at the compliment but staying humbles ever. "I could not do it without my skull. It lets me catch what i need of my pride." She chuckles lightly and lifts the skull helm for a moment nudging his cheek with her nose "We are friends now Raha. Don't go too far okay? I'm sure I can show you some wonderful things and perhaps you will stay for a while.' Tipping the skull mask back over her face again she takes the kills back legs in her teeth and starts to drag, picking up speed as she goes. She pauses, drops the kill and looks back. "Until tomorrow Raha." She grins picking up the legs once again and making off back towards the dens.
