Balia had awoken rather early that evening. There was still some light in the growing night sky as she exited the den shared by her two siblings, father, and elder siblings; she wanted some freedom from them. It didn't mean she didn't like them because they're her family and she loves her family, but they were getting on her last nerve with the pouncing, playing and messing up her coat. She just needed a little time to herself is all. Sae had to get away from his other six siblings. Something was coiling up in his stomach again, making his blood boil and anger well up. He didn't want to hurt any of them. He kind of liked a few of them, but Saegitur couldn't let them see. His mother tried to help him calm his demon. She tried so hard, but he'd lashed out at her a couple of times. He'd lashed out at all of them, really. It wasn't a pleasant feeling, knowing he could hurt them, even with his small size and claws. But his rage wasn't calming down, which means he had to walk it off, or take it out on some poor tree, or rabbit. Something! Yellow eyes flashed wickedly as he looked around in the dim lite sky and he growled, the demon in him clawing at his insides to get out. To be released.

Balia stopped, watching a beetle cross her path. She frowned and gave a small growl, throwing down a paw overtop of it and squishing the bug into oblivion. As she lifted her paw to inspect her kill she made a face, "Ewwww. It's all gunky, like sludge."
His head whipped as he heard a voice, and the hair on the back of his neck prickled. Maybe it was a strong male he could roughen up. With strong, confident steps, the brown and black male stormed toward the voice only to be stopped by the sight of a girl. And she was complaining about a beetle. Oh, that irritated him; her yellow color on her. Something about her markings seemed familiar, but thought escaped him as he continued to watch her, trying to see what she was going to do. ".....You killed it. What did you think it was going to be like?"

"Less gunky?" Balia replied, dragging her paw across the ground to wipe off the dead bug guts that were clinging to her precious fur. She looked the male in front of her up and down. It was obvious he was older than her, and could probably take her out if she didn't play nice like she normally did with the big kids. He had an interesting coat, though it wasn't as pretty as her's, but it was nice to look at regardless. "Who're you?"
"Saegitur. .....Sae." He wasn't good at explaining things. Those yellow eyes were trained on the paw wiping the ground and his interested was piques. Had she never killed before? It was always gunky and goopy and sloppy. Maybe she hadn't been out on a hunt with her mother yet. She did look rather young. "Who're you?" She looked so familiar; or her colors and markings did. Surly he'd seen her family out and about, doing whatever it was that the other demons did. She looked small and weak; like his sisters. But he'd learned that looks could be deceiving and girls were two faced and he couldn't trust them. That's what his mother taught him, and his experience around his sisters.

"Balia'azima, but you may call me Balia if you wish," The little lioness said, waving a paw at him nonchalantly. She wasn't pleased with how gooey the bug had been. Generally, anything brought to her had the blood already drained out of it and ready for her little fangs to dig into. She also made sure only to tear at the meat and nothing else. She hated getting gross things on her fur, it was unbecoming of someone of her beauty.
Balia caught Sae starring at her paw as she had been wiping the gunk off of it. How rude, she thought to herself as she went to make her internal displeasure become external, "Didn't your mother teach you not to stare? It's rude, and makes others suspicious of you."

She had a weird name, too. But what did it really matter to him? It wasn't honestly like he could care about others. He wanted too, but his demon surged in him when he tried, and made it so he would be alone. His bright yellow eyes narrowed at her arrogant tone and he let a growl past his lips. "Didn't your mother teach you not to sound so haughty to your elders? It makes them annoyed."
Sae didn't mean for it to come out as harsh as it did, but there it was. All harsh and snappish.

"I don't have a mother," Balia smiled eerily, an unsettling look in her her eyes as she gazed at him. It was one of complete emptiness, like looking into a black pitch, except the pit was those oddly colored yellow eyes.
"There's only Daddy, and you're not my elder. You're small and weak in everyone else's eyes, just like me," She spoke listlessly, fangs showing as her smile turned wicked.

he would not apologize for bringing up a painful subject for her. Why should he? Bringing up the past made one learn from their mistakes and hardened the heart. So maybe this yellow she-demon's heart would turn to stone if he brought it up enough. He matched her gaze and then rolled his shoulders.
Sae thought she was right about being small and weak, but that wouldn't be a permanent thing. He would grow, develop beyond her wildest dreams and wear the skull of some poor female who dared to cross paths with him. Just like he'd seen some members of the pride.
"You might be small and weak, you're a girl. But, I'll grow and develop more than you think possible, she-spawn." His own fangs showed as his smile turned cold and hardened, his eyes narrowing and hardening as well. He knew a challenge when he saw it. Oh, he would fight and beat her if need be. He had weight on him that she couldn't possibly defend herself against.
