Moyo was on the move again. Some males had been poking fun at his current harem, which was, in their opinion, lacking. While Moyo was personally fine with having only one female to his name, it seemed that in the eyes of the others, bigger was always better. He quickly explained that he had simply been "breaking in" his first female before wanting to go find another; he then added that, "Of course, I could handle two unruly females at once. I just don't feel like wasting my time and energy on it when I don't have to!" The males had smirked at him and told him that his beybanu wasn't much of a trouble-maker, from what they could tell, and that it was high time he set out to grow his harem. Naturally, Moyo could not say no, and after saying good-bye to Kinda, he headed out to hopefully find a suitable female to become his first actual banu.
He'd gotten lucky in finding a girl like Kinda. She was truly everything he wanted in a beybanu, despite her initial unwillingness to join the pride. Sure, he wouldn't mind having another female around in his harem, but he certainly didn't feel as if he needed one. Still, he couldn't help but eagerly comply with the demands of the other pads; and for all Moyo knew, they were probably right about everything they'd said. He hoped desperately that once he added one or two lionesses to his harem, they'd grow to respect and like him more.
He pondered all of these things as he approached the borders of the U'W territory, his eyes scanning the area for essentially anything that might possibly be female.

At this time, a large, pale male was patrolling the boarder near Moyo. Scars cut across his forelegs and when he came closer Moyo would notice his maw had been badly damaged in a fight, resulting in a torn nose and a snaggletooth smile. He was humming to himself, too softly for Moyo to hear, and stopped suddenly when he spotted the darker male headed toward the boarders.
A pad? Vu arched a brow. Probably nothing to worry about, but since he'd never seen this male before he figured he might as well walk over and say hello.
Having been a warrior all his life, Vu was quite sturdy looking. Since becoming a member of the pride, it had been a while since Vu saw any significant combat - his scars looked very old. He sparred with the other pads once in a while, that was all. Rogue males tended to run off when confronted by a bulky guard with so many battle scars.
"Hi there," Vu called as he trotted over to the darker male. "Nice day for a walk. Have you come to patrol the boarders?" It was every pad's duty to patrol the boarders when they had time.

Moyo hadn't immediately noticed the pale-gold male, but since he was now approaching, he took full notice of him. Since he was busy, and wasn't doing anything wrong, his initial reaction was to ignore the lion and continue on his way. However, another glance at the bulky lion changed his mind; with all those scars he looked awfully formidable. Perhaps it was best not to get on this warrior's bad side.
The dark brown male slowed and turned, smiling as he headed in the direction of the white-maned lion. "Hello," he replied, making his best attempt at a casual, I'm-just-as-awesome-as-you-apparently-are demeanor. "Patrol? No, not today - I'm actually on my way to find myself a new addition to my harem." He puffed out his chest, trying to look manly and important. "One lioness is hardly enough for someone like me." He paused again, this time to wink at his new acquaintance. "I take it you're patrolling today?"

Moyo's performance didn't go unnoticed. Vu cocked his head, ears forward. Maybe if he poked the big guy's chest he would deflate. When he was a teenager Vu tried to put up a tough front for other males, too. Back then he still cared what his father thought about him, even though by the time he was a teenager his father only existed in his head. Having a family of his own changed the way he saw himself. Vu smiled nicely, trying not to look too amused. Oh gods, that wink....
"I suppose so, if that sort of thing matters to you. Yes, I'm on patrol. I could use a break though." He glanced out at the rogue lands. "There's a small watering hole not too far from here. I think it should still have a little water left this time of year. I could show you to it; might be some females there."

If that sort of thing matters to you. Moyo groaned inwardly. He'd assumed this male had one kind of personality, and it appeared he had another kind entirely. He silently reprimanded himself and tried to move past his blunder. "A watering hole? That sounds perfect. I'm sure I could find it on my own, but I'd love some company anyway?" He smiled nervously. The idea of bringing a big, buff male to accompany him on his search for a female wasn't exactly appealing; given the choice, he was sure most, if not all females would prefer the scarred lion to himself. Still, it really would be nice to have someone to talk to, even if the entire venture was a flop. "My name is Moyo'wa'Jiwe, but you can just call me Moyo."

Vu nodded in agreement and started to lead Moyo toward the watering hole. Despite having lived in the pride for a few months now, he knew surprisingly few males. He supposed he was spending too much time with his family and too much time by himself on patrol. Maybe he was even still a little shy deep down. At least now, he felt ready to make some friends.
"Pleasure to meet you, Moyo. My name is Misilivuma - just Vu for short. I guess from your name you're not from around here? I don't know anyone around here who would give their cub a name like that, no offense." Oh gods, he was being awkward again wasn't he? He tried to laugh it off. "Sorry. What I mean is, it sounds like you were born somewhere else, like me. I traveled a long way to get here with my mate."
