Where to start?

Hi all! I'm new to this guild and to this sort of thing in general and I have some questions and problems I was wondering if you could help me with.

Question 1-
Could someone describe some of the various branches of paganism to me? I have no idea what I want to get into.

Queston 2-
Is there anyway I could get a mentor of sorts? To guide me through all this?

OK well the branches of Paganism are endless. The thing about Paganism is you take what you like. You can go over many different religions and make your own type of worship or go on the books of another. Wicca is usually the most main stream branch of Paganism. Theres an awsome sit that asks you questions and helps you find out what branch you fit best but let me see if I can find it. xp

As for question 1, just be actiave here, and you'll probably pick things up. Ask questions of various people, they could give you sources to look up, things to do.

As for question 2...I'd go with a probable no. The internet is hardly the proper place to find a mentor, and if you want a mentor, you generally have to work for one.

well maybe thats a sucky quiz because i took another quiz and it said i was a 100% Egyptian Pantheonic Pagan and a 90% eclectic pagan. That one to me made much more sense. surprised

- Ecclectic Pagan (95%)
- Kabbalistic Pagan (90%)
- Catholic (Pagan?) (80%)
- Zoroastrian Pagan (55%)
- Egyptian Pantheonic Pagan (55%)

Which makes sense. razz Hopefully, after figuring out and writing down the basics/basis of my faith and exploring a (or some) local Native American pantheons, I can really start to study the guardians of my childhood. whee heart
