Pinch
Amara felt fat.

She groaned, rolling onto her side in the dirt. She hated the dirt, but she also hated feeling fat and bloated. The cubs were quite active in her belly and it was a bit disconcerting when they shifted, causing her to ripple and quake. Amara was thankful for only one thing in her life right now.

Kwea.

He was her saviour, her knight in shining armor. She would kiss the ground he walked on if she could bend over that far (it was hard to get back on her feet sometimes with her rotund belly in the way). He was truly a king among lions and Amara adored him.

With such thoughts meddling about in her mind, she dozed in the sun, snoring softly.

Syr
Kwea moved with the silent grace of one who knew his place, one who could walk through the pride without a worry in the world, one who felt proud, nay privileged, to have found something wonderful and precious. Amara had been a delight, she had learned their ways quickly and she looked at him with such love in her eyes. It almost made him tremble in delight.

He had ordered her to do plenty of relaxing due to her pregnancy being at that stage where it needed sleep and rest so when he wandered in tot he den and found her snoring he actually found it endearing to see her relaxing, pregnant with someone else's cubs but none the less pregnant, one day he knew she would bear some cubs for him nod they would be strong and fit, but for now he could only day dream about that, for now he would take in these cubs and raise them to be good little pads and worthy Banu's for his own harem.

Laying down slowly and quietly beside the tan lioness he lays his head gently on her stomach. She was getting to big and the cubs so wrestles. It was a fun feeling.

Pinch
Amara felt Kwea rest his head on her stomach; she knew it was him because he was the only one who dared touch her in the pride. It was an amazing feeling knowing that she was so protected from others who might want to cause her harm; the only one she had to worry about now was Sarai but the other had not dared rise up since the cubs had grown to noticable size. For that, Amara was thankful.

She only hoped that Kwea would understand once Sarai reared her ugly head. It was troublesome to think that at any given time she'd lose control of her own body, trapped behind the will of one much stronger than herself.

Amara lifted a paw to lovingly sift through Kwea's mane. She really could just stare at him for hours. There was nothing displeasing about his appearance, and ever since entrusting him with her safe-keeping, Amara had become more and more infatuated by him. He was strong, quiet, but also had a more vulnerable side that he tended to keep hidden, one she met upon their first meeting.

Amara purred softly at him, a happy smile settling across her muzzle.

Syr
The big red maned male smiled lightly up at Amara "Won't be long now, I have seen other female get this big and they soon have cub once this happens." he smiles a softly cheeky smile, he was actually quite excited be a father of sorts. He had watch other males take on the mantel and taken some advice from other males on the subject. he was ready for what ever Amara would throw at him, so to speak.

"Are you feeling okay? Is Kifa bringing enough food for you?" He urges, there was something about Amara that brought out the better in him, perhaps it was simply that she was heavy with young, or perhaps it was because she had seen his more open side, she had seen the reason he hated females so much and come out the other side with eyes full of doting love for him.

He loved that look, it was a look of pure devotion and he could simply lay here all the day long and drown in that look. "I am excited." He states suddenly, though he had scanned the area around him first to make sure Kifa was not around. He didn't want her to think he was going soft, but for Amara, it was okay, she had already seen his vulnerable side, he couldn't be prideful around her, there was no point, she had seen him on his darkest of days.

Pinch
"I will be happy to no longer be fat," Amara grinned, "I am excited to be a more... normal shape." Her voice was light. She enjoyed seeing Kwea looking forward to this birth and these cubs even though they were not his own. She was excited about being a mother, as well. It had been unexpected and at the time unwanted, but Amara attributed that to being panicked at the thought of raising cubs on her own. With Kwea by her side, though, she felt she could do anything.

"I am feeling fine. Kifa has taken care of me." She hadn't spoken in depth with the other lioness yet. Amara found that she preferred solitude over the company of other lionesses these days. The only company she enjoyed was that of Kwea, and she was always looking forward to spending time with him.

She laughed at his sudden statement. "I am glad you are excited, Kwea." Her words carried with them a love and warmth that she couldn't put into words, but it was one that shined in her eyes.

Syr
He chuckles lightly closing his eyes for a long moment enjoying the weight of the love she gave to him. She was just what needed, he even felt more inclined to be kinder to Kifa since she had come in to his harem. The cubs were an added bonus. her cubs and some other males but they were still a bonus.

"Do you think you can tell how many you are having yet?" he asks, taking to grooming her stomach fondly, he would see these cubs were well taken care of no matter what, his or not, every cub deserved to have a mother and a father, he had been cursed with neither, he wouldn't see these little bundles abandoned by either of them.

"I will look after you, and them, no matter what you know." He smiles, a curiously gentle smile, one that seemed to be reserved for Amara, certainly he had not granted this friendly smile to Kifa, he didn't think she deserved his devotion. Perhaps when she was bearing his cubs he would have more respect for her? It was something to think about another time. He rests his cheek once again upon her stomach, listening for any sounds from within.

Pinch
Amara fell silent for a moment, pondering Kwea's question. She really didn't know how many new lives her womb was harboring. "If I had to guesss, I'd say ten at least," she chuckled sheepishly, "Knowing that's impossible, I'd be happy with three or four healthy babies." She purred, enjoying his grooming. These small, sweet encounters they had just made her realize how lucky she was to have found him, and how fortunate she had been that he'd come along with such an offer for her.

"I know you will look after us, Kwea." Her loving purr seemed to be echoed by the cubs within her womb as they shifted about in her belly. Amara had never felt so content, so protected, so adored.

"I am happy here," she said, knowing he knew that already but wanting to say it nonetheless. "You have made me very happy."

Syr
"Good" He replies simply, opening his blood red eyes to look up at Amara, if he could be in love with anyone, at this moment, he was in love with her for what she gave to him, a feeling of family.

"Ten?!" He chuckles and shakes his head at her joke, surely no lioness could bear ten cubs, it would be impossible. Or so he thought any way, perhaps it was possible. Still he doubted she was having that many and when she amended to three or four he nods a very serious nod "Yes, I think three or four would be easy enough to handle." He smiles feeling very proud of himself, okay the cubs weren't his, but he certainly felt he could handle a litter of three or four, of course, Kifa would be helping too and perhaps another older Banu would give them a hand if they needed it.

Pinch
"Yes, i would be very pleased with three or four." he smiles, flickering his tail and closing his eyes, it was very comfortable laying here next to Amara. "I think a nap is called for don't you?" he chuckles.

A yawn broke Amara's silence and she smiled sheepishly at Kwea. "I think a nap sounds wonderful. I had been dozing before you came into the den." It was cooler in the den, and while the dirt was... dirty, it had a soothing effect on heated skin and fur. A nap would be a perfect opportunity for her to daydream about her cubs.

"What do you think they'll be like," Amara asked, almost half-asleep. She hoped they would be normal; not knowing the father of the cubs was a hindrance but if he was normal, well, maybe he'd cancel out any effect Sarai could have. It was probably too much to hope for; any male that found Sarai attractive would have to be half-insane himself.

Syr
"I think they will be lovely, and well behaved." He states, more or less saying what they would be rather than what he thought they would be. They would have to be good cubs, well behaved, cared for, good little banu's and strong pads.

"Don't worry about it, I will make sure they are all good." He whispers allowing a wide yawn to stretch his maw, his bloody red eyes closing a little tighter. "Everything will be wonderful. I promise."
