Enzi was told by Blue thing(Nyoka) to go off and play. That what he going to do. They only thing bad about was that there was no one he really met in the pride before other then Blue thing. He was sure other would play with him, right? He dumb self was sure of it. He could get along with lots of other here. He was sure of it!
He look around and found a round rock that he begun to hit around. This would maybe let other know that he wanted to play with him. He never met other because Blue thing always kept a careful eye on him. He also just didn't want to get in some mess that he could not fix. He sigh when he thought of all this but gave a grin none the less.
He was happy for this place and now it was time to make some friends! Hopefully they would be fun loving and playful as he was.

 Wandering through the pridelands, Mananakbo had little on his mind. He wasn't kept around for his thinking abilities, which was nothing new for him, and so most of the time his thoughts were his own, and not usually on the pride. He listened to what he heard and did his very best to recall it in as much detail as possible when he reported it back to Nyoka.
His ears picked up the sound of a rock moving over the ground. He followed it to its source and saw Enzi. That was Nyoka's special pet. Something about him had always rubbed Mana the wrong way. He didn't seem...right. Somehow. His proportions were wrong. He was too large for his age, and he was growing a lot more of a mane than was usual for cheetahs. Mana had suspicions that Nyoka's pet was not quite what she thought he was, but it wasn't his job to share suppositions, just the facts.
"What are you up to, Enzi?" Mana asked. A part of him wondered why he'd never gotten around to talking to the young one before. He should have. Well, now was his chance.

Enzi look up to see who was talking to him. He never met this guy before. He had some cool colors! Enzi gave him a dumb look grin. "Enzi never met you before! Hi Fire, Enzi just playing with this hard thing! Fire wanna play with Enzi?" He said with a grin. He hope this guy like to play. There still something about him that made Enzi feel wired inside.
There something about the way he look at him that made Enzi feel scare. Maybe it was the way he look at Enzi or the way he talk. Enzi didn't know and he didn't want to find out! He shook his head to get those thought out of his head. No need to worry, Blue thing said everyone here is good. Enzi trust Blue thing so she is right.
But still it seem like that fire and his eyes don't like or trust Enzi at all. Enzi fix it yes he will!

Mana blinked in surprise and wondered if there was something damaged in the youngster's mind. He'd known for some time that his speech patterns were unusual, but it hadn't occurred to him that Enzi might not recognize him. Or maybe he was saying that they'd never actually met before, as in with introductions, which was true. If that was the case, however, Mana wished he could have expressed it more clearly.
And what was up with calling him 'Fire'? Mana assumed that referred to him, anyway, and he supposed he could see where the moniker came from, but hadn't the spotted creature heard his name spoken several times in the past? It wasn't as if they weren't both around Nyoka a great deal. Either way, something had to be done about that 'Fire' thing, because there was no way Mana was going to answer to it.
"The hard thing's a rock," Mana said, momentarily distracted from his purpose with the more immediate compulsion to correct Enzi's vocabulary. No doubt the correction was unnecessary - certainly it wasn't as important as Mana's name - but it wasn't something he could stop himself from making.
"And my name's Mana, not Fire. I won't answer to Fire." He tried to be as clear about this as he could be. He knew Enzi was Nyoka's pet, and that he really ought to be making nice with him, but some things just could not be borne. Being misnamed was one of those things.
"I..." He didn't like playing with cubs, and although Enzi didn't really look much like a cub, he behaved like one, which put Mana in unfamiliar territory, unsure whether he ought to treat him as a cub or not. "I'm not very good at playing. Why don't you tell me a little about yourself instead? I like hearing stories."

Enzi tilted his head. The way this fire guy was looking at him,made him feel uneasy again. Did He do something wrong, no that couldn't be it. Enzi didn't do anything since he been here. Something about this just didn't feel right to Enzi. He was going to have to fix that.
Now Blue thing did tell him that there are other that will be nice to him and he hope this one was a nice guy too. He grin at him and started to drool. He was just happy that someone was talking to him. A rock...oh so that what the hard thing is call. Enzi thought this over before he said anything.
"Hmm, Enzi never heard of a rock before. So are all hard thing, rocks?" He ask the adult. He look up and heard the adults name. How was he to know that his name was Mana? He look like fire and that what Enzi thought to call him. "OK! Ma-na! Well Ma-na if you won't answer to fire then why look like it!?" He ask with a dumb grin.
Now Enzi was shock to hear that someone not good at playing! Everyone can play it not hard at all. Well he would just let that be. "Enzi is Enzi! Enzi like to play and Blue thing is nice! Blue thing gave Enzi home when Enzi had no Home. Before Blue thing Enzi had no one. Yes!" He said with a smile not knowing that it was a bad thing.

Mana couldn't help thinking of the pride he'd once heard of where the leader called himself a king and kept someone around who had no royal blood but lots of royal privilege. Their existence in the 'court' of the 'king' was based on their seemingly empty mind and the amusing pronouncements made because of it. Perhaps Enzi filled that role for Nyoka. In any event, Mana was certain that there was no danger presented by the odd little creature. He was just strange. If he made an effort, Mana could deal with strange.
Enzi's question about all hard things being rocks immediately tested his resolve. He blinked very slowly, taking the opportunity to school his tongue to good manners. There was no need for him to be cruel to Enzi just because something about him rubbed his fur the wrong way. There were lots of people and things in the world who made Mana uncomfortable, and it just wasn't practical to react to all of them.
"It depends, but around here lots of them are rocks," Mana answered.
He reminded himself once more of his efforts at being patient when Enzi asked why he wasn't called Fire if he looked like it. He could almost understand the question, as many parents named their cubs for physical traits, but there was also a large percentage that named them for desired personality traits or simply went with names they found appealing without regard for meaning. But Enzi was asking why he looked like fire if he wouldn't be called Fire, which was a little backward.
"I wasn't named for how I look, and I don't really have a choice about how I look. What about you? Why are you called Enzi? What does Enzi mean?" The possibilities for befuddling answers abounded with these questions, but Mana's tongue sometimes got ahead of him. At least he hadn't sounded mean as he asked.
"Blue thing?" Mana repeated wonderingly, completely at a loss. "Well...that's nice that they gave you a home. Wait. Are you talking about Nyoka and the pride?"

Enzi shook his head and said "Ok! So rock are hard thing that are here! Enzi got it!" He gave a big grin. He felt happy that he learned something today.
He look at Mana again and he could see the fellow was in deep thought. This guy seem like hes in deep thought all the time. Enzi wonder what this adult was thinking about. He bet it was something that going on but you never know! This just made Enzi think more but he shook it of so his head would not hurt later.
"Oh! Well sorry about that! That just how Enzi can tell who is who. Enzi will work harder to get to know other names! YES!" He said with joy. He flick his tail and went on. "Enzi was told that Enzi is Enzi. Enzi don't know what it means.....but o'well! That don't matter! All that matter is Enzi name is Enzi!" He giggle and smile. Where was this guy coming up with these silly question.
"Yes Blue thing! It is nice that Blue thing gave Enzi home! Wait who's N-nyo-ka? What is this pride you speak of!? Enzi don't know what Mana talking about! All Enzi know is that Blue thing live here with other and Enzi must help and be friends with others here!" He said with a confused tone. This guy sure do ask wired question! This suff should already be know to everyone. Well He guess that he was going to have to explain to Mana if he still don't get it.

Mana did not quite share in Enzi's glee at discovery. Instead, he found himself wondering how someone like Enzi could have survived long enough for Nyoka to find him and decide to take him under her protection. He also wondered what Nyoka planned to make of him, since she didn't seem like she would collect people who were of no use to her. Surely his value didn't truly lie in his ability to amuse and entertain with his foolishness. He would have been ranked as an entertainer in that case, and not allowed to follow Nyoka around like a pet.
"That's fair enough, I suppose," Mana admitted. For someone as simple as Enzi seemed to be, that method of distinguishing between people was probably the best he could come up with, and it wasn't bad. Mana just happened to prefer his own name to some sort of moniker based on his appearance. On the other paw, he supposed he could be glad Enzi had decided to use his coat color, rather than the scars on his foreleg as his defining characteristic. He wasn't proud of those scars, and he would not have liked to be reminded of them on a regular basis.
"Nyoka's the small female cheetah that bosses everyone around. She's got a dark blue coat. Blue thing," Mana explained.
"And a pride is a group of cats all living together and following the same rules. We're both part of the Kuroi'Nera pride. It's nice that you mean to help and befriend the people here. I've seen what happens when prides fight, and it's not pretty."

Enzi was still not sure about this guy. He didn't have that same feeling that Blue thing told him about. This was just weird thing about him. Eniz once again shook the feeling off. But he knew he will keep his trust with Blue thing, Yup he sure will. They way he look at Enzi just made him feel uneasy, but Enzi will have to shake it off.
"Yup! It Fair or whatever!" He said with small grin. This guy was no fun. He didn't like play. He talk crazy and suff. Just everything about him was old. Just plain odd. What the heck was fair about fur color!? That who you are...This guy......
Enzi Jump up when he said blue thing! So he knew her! Yay! He began to wag his tail as he talk about her! "YES YES YES! BLUE THING! YOU KNOW HER? YES?" He yell with joy. This made him happy,super happy.
"Yes! Enzi will be friend with all! That what Blue thing told Enzi!" He said joy. Then his tone began anger as he said "No Fight. Not at all. Other have be Enzi Family! Fight Enzi not have......." His ear went back. He never like fighting at all.

Mana sneaked a glance to the side, wondering if he might see someone else he knew that he would have to go talk to. It might be a way of extricating himself from this conversation, which was proving not only to be fruitless but frustrating. There might be hidden depths to Enzi that he had yet to see, but Mana's patience was not so strong that he was willing to wait around in hopes of catching a glimpse of some deeper, smarter Enzi. The little oddling would just have to remain a mystery.
His ears flattened at Enzi's unexpected outburst and his blue eyes narrowed in displeasure. This was why he kept his distance when it came to cubs. This was why he kept away from hybrids. Hybrids! That's what rubbed his fur the wrong way about Enzi. He couldn't believe he hadn't noticed it sooner, but Enzi had a tufted tail like a lion, and far more of a mane than a cheetah his age ought to have had. Enzi was a lion-cheetah hybrid. Realizing that turned Mana's stomach, and his opinion.
"I have to go," he said shortly. "Talking to you was...enlightening."
Before Enzi could say anything else, Mana turned around and walked away, taking full advantage of his long legs to carry him out of range of the youth's voice quickly. He hoped very hard that Enzi wouldn't follow him. He had already decided he wanted nothing to do with that hybrid if he could avoid the contact in the future.
