It was time for a break for the lioness. She was old enough to have her first litter, what a handful that litter was too. She loved all of them but it was a large amount of cubs that never seemed to want to stop running circles around her and causing havoc. But she was allowed a break today her mate was going to take care of them for her while she was out enjoying herself for the day. But today was slow, her siblings and her parents all busy. Same with her friends, nothing interesting was going on at the borders for the moment. There was no point of watching cubs when she was trying to take a break. So for now it was to enjoy her day like she used to at times like this.
She wiggled her toes in the sand before she started to walk her way down one of the dunes, her footing was sure. Unlike the awkward cub she once was she knew how to easily make her way down the sand with out slipping up. She looked around as she reached the bottom of the dune, another dune was to the side of her hiding the harsh sun from her darkly covered coat.
She knew exactly where she was going. She had been there many times over the ages while she was growing up. She had chased away many others as they tried to sneak up on her. It was her spot in a way. A rather large rock placed perfectly for dark coats to hide from the bright firekin sun. She smiled as she saw it, wandering he way up to it and flopping down on it.. It was still slightly warm from the afternoon when the sun was at it's highest and beat it's warm rays on the spot. She laid on her side, her tail flopping beside her, she closed her eyes for a moment to enjoy the feeling of the air on her coat.

Opposite his own rock was the 'dark pelt' stone, he often watched the mothers bring their cubs there to rest if their pelts were darker than their claws and it was interesting. He felt more like a guard then a cubsitter when he did that.
Right now there was only one pride member there and his eyes watched her quietly as he lay there.
A lioness.
Smelled of cubs.
A new mother probably.
With a turn of his bulk he rolled onto his back, fat and muscle combined into a true Firekin's shape as he let out a groaning yawn.
"Evening." He called lightly, it was half slurred by the fact he had been mostly napping more than sun worshipping in the past hours or so before she had appeared.
Atleast it felt like hours.

Azar was surprised at the sound of of another. She really wasn't expecting some one else to visit her. She wasn't really that sure who the lion was but she was more then sure that she had seen him around the pride once or twice. So he wasn't a complete stranger to her. She sat up a little bit before nodded to him as he approached. Strong firekin colors were in him. She could tell right away. The reds were showing proudly on him. She smiled slightly and nodded to him.
"Hello there." She greeted back stretching out of her paws and then nodding to him. "My name is Azar, daughter of the regents." she smiled slightly at the idea she loved her parents. But then her attentino turned back toward the male. "What is your name... And what brings you around here?" She asked curiously to him. Sure his company wasn't expected however it didn't mean that she wasn't going to enjoy it while she had the chance. Anything was better then cubs for a few moments.

Regents? A daughter of the regents? He blinked suprisingly blue eyes at her and tried to scramble himself so that he wasn't slouching upon his rock. The sound of claws briefly scritching and trying to steady the bulk upon the rock making it almost comical as he kept himself upon his front.
Way to go, genius. That was a way to act around the regency, really.
"I'm sorry, miss, I didn't know!" Came his spluttered words, ears folded back against his mane in his embarassment as he squinted faintly. He felt a small knot in his stomache that eased out once he was sure with all his might she hadn't noticed the ammount of embarassment he had caused himself.
He was just a big doofus wasn't he?
Big on body. Big on muscles. Big on heart. Small in brain.
Answer he question genius!
"Oh, I'm Damu, miss, a cubsitter for the pride."
Offering a small smile upon his maw towards the other, despite he still looked rather embarssed with himself.

Azar looked at the lion a little confused, she had no clue why he was shuffling to get himself looking nice. She flicked her tail around again and then offered him a soft smile and a nod. She might as well be nice to the lion. She wiggled her toes in front of her before chuckling slightly at him looking over. "Didn't know what?" She asked curiously before realizing what he must have been talking about. "That I'm one of the regent's daughters? Don't worry there are many of us. I'm a solider." She nodded before shifting so she could look at him a little bit better. "I'm trying to work my way up and one day I hope I will but for now I'm no better then you." She chuckled slightly.
"It's nice to meet you Damu." She then chuckled slightly and looked down at her paws. "Really? I'll have ot keep that in mind. I need a cub sitter or two." She smiled at him and winked. "I have a whole hoard of little cubs. I need a hand or two some times."

"Well..." He started, the embarassment creeping up his spine and making him sink into his large mane, ears flattening against it as he briefly looked down at his paws. Such interesting paws!
"I've heard of the regents and I've only briefly seen them...not really 'met' them, however."
Which was true, atleast as far as he could recollect, since the war he had pushed many things from his mind par one solitary figure to focus on the cubs.
Ooo she's speaking about that! Talk more on that!
A small smile came to his muzzle as he looked towards her, raising his eyes from his paws finally as he lay there and still tried to keep himself more so presentable towards the other.
"Oh? New mother?"

Azar chuckled slightly as she looked at him shaking her head slightly before offering him another smile. "Don't worry I know not everyone in the pride has met them." She chuckled quietly at the idea before smiling at him again. She flicked her tail around and then wiggled her paws in the sand that she had her paws on. "You should some time though. They're workaholics however they do like to spend time with others. I'm sure they would like you." She nodded at the idea she knew that even though her parents were often busy they did enjoy company.
She then smiled and nodded at the lion. "I sure am!" She grinned she was very much enjoying being a mother at the moment. She had her cubs to take care of and she loved to be able to take care of her cubs. She wasn't that sure why she really loved she was going to make sure that she payed close attention to them and make sure that they all got the love that they wanted she of course wouldn't spoil them however she would make sure that they knew that they were always loved. "Nine." She laughed quietly at the number. "It's a huge litter but hey. It's pretty cool." She giggled slightly at the idea before lifting a paw and rubbing her face for a moment. "I'm excited though they're all a little hyper at times though." She chuckled slightly then giggled a little.
