Zii was devastated but she couldn't do what she had to alone. She needed her other half. Azar. She had to find her sister. As she padded past the other members of the pride, her head lowered and her ears pressed against her skull, tears falling down her pale face.
How could he? Her handsome Rowtag. He had no trust as a child and as he grew, it grew... and they were all deceived. She stifled a sob, staggering a moment, to wipe her cheek against her shoulder. She spotted Azar's den site and choked, stumbling in.
"A-a-a-a-azar..." She mumbled.

Azar had spent her time lazing around in the den this afternoon. A few of her cubs were still hanging around, all put into the back of the den for nap time as she settled herself into the front of the den. Her tail flicking around she was happy to have a chance as Khin'del wandered around with the other cub and she stayed home with the last few that were there. She might have been left with her troubling cubs. Kakek and a few other ones but they were way too passed out to even get up to cause any kind of trouble, and on top of that they had just passed out so they would be out for a long time. She was excited at this!
But something was coming her way. Something that she wasn't really expecting. To a small point she slightly expected this to happen a long time ago but she was hoping that it wasn't true. She always had her suspicions but she never expected something to happen. It was so long ago. Her ears perk at the sight of her sister. She loved her sister and she loved spending time with her.
But there was something different.
She looked at her sister realizing that she was looking sad. She frowned slightly as soon as she saw her. She stood up quickly and then let out a few chuffs, she knew that Khin'del would come home if he heard that. She sat up and looked at her sister. "Whats wrong Zii?" She asked quickly.

Zii burst into tears as soon as Azar spoke her name. She coughed, trying to stay quiet so the cubs wouldn't be awakened. There was so much to say but not enough time. She shook her head, sputtering. "A-z-zar..."
She coughed a few times to gain composure. "Azar... we have to go to Daddy... I have...have-hhhave..." She lost her composure for a moment and lowered her head, falling back into sobs. Firekin didn't cry like little ninnies. She lifted her head, tears streaming.
"M-m-my heart..." She lowered her head and sniffled.

Azar looked at her other half and then a worried look grew on her face. She wasn't that sure of what was going on but she didn't like it. Like Zii was thinking Azar knew that firekin didn't cry. She had never seen her sister cry before except when tehy were little and she didn't like the fact that she was crying now. She moved closer to her sister and nuzzled her. She lifted a paw and gently started to wipe away her sister's tears. Azar was getting used to the gentle wiping of the tears because of her cubs.
She looked at her sister with a curious face. "Whats going on?" She asked agian before her head cocked to the side for a moment before she nudged her sister. "Is something wrong with dad? Do we have to go see dad?" She asked curiously, urgently. She had no clue what was going on and one thing was for sure she really was not expecting something to happen. She nudged her lighter sister before taking a few steps and nuzzling her sister once more.

Zii sniffled and leaned against her sister, before startling and standing up, shaking her head side to side. She couldn't sit and cry against her other half, she couldn't. Time was running short. Soon they would, the three of them would... try too... kill her family.
This thought made her choke again. "Dad and mom are in trouble..." She said finally, choking and shaking. "W-w-w-we have to see them now." She stammered. "It's a matter of life and death..." She added.
She shut her yellow eyes and pressed herself against her sister and sighed. "I heard them talking."

Azar gave a serious look to her sister before it turned into wide eyes. Her claws dug into the ground and a growl escaped her throat. Some one was going to try to hurt her parents? She was not happy about this. She shot up to her feet before looking back at her sister. "Start walking, we can talk as we go." She leaned against her sister. She looked at her sister with a soft look for a moment. She was worried about her but talking to her parents seemed a lot more urgent.
"Whats going on sister?" she asked nudging her gently as they wlaked she was going at the pace that her sister was making sure to lean against her to give her some support. "Who was tlaking about what?" She asked again trying to get an answer about everything. One thing was for sure she knew that this was not going to end up well.

Zii felt the pain start to rise in her chest as they started to move. She sniffled. "I was watching the borders and I saw him leave... so I followed, thinking that I was going to sneak up on him and make him laugh like I always do... but he went over a dune..." She stared straight ahead of them. "I heard three of them... strangers... and they were talking... about... Mom and dad. He's leading them there now..."
She paused.
"To kill them for revenge... I can't... I don't know how... Why... he'd..." She started to sob again... "I trusted him."

Azar listened to her sister, trying to figure out who she was talking about. She was a little confused and didn't exactly know who it was. She had no clue. She really hadn't thought about Rowtag in a long time. Not at all but as she listened to her it struck her. It struck her faster then something in a duel. "Damnit!" she snarled as she looked at her sister. She wasn't that happy. She looked at her sister and nudged her gently. She wanted to so badly to tell her sister that she told her so. But she wasn't going to open her mouth. It wasn't that time. Beside she didn't want to hurt her sister anymore.
"He isn't going to get far." She growled lowly, her claws were sticking out, she couldn't bring herself to pull them back in. Her temper was flaring up majorly and she wasn't going to stop for anything at the moment. "Lets go quickly. No worries Khin will be home before the cubs wake up." She nodded to her siter before gowling agian. "they won't put a single hair on mom and dad." She snarled again the hair on her back stood up straight she could have been confused for a porcupine.

Zii nodded, not sure what else to say to her sister. She knew that this was one grave mistake they had all taken, especially herself. She had fallen for him, fallen in love with him so he could get closer to her family... so he could kill her parents. She had thought that... he really cared for her.
She headed out of the den quickly, sniffling still but looking more composed. He had betrayed her. She wasn't even sure of what her feelings were at that moment.
But her parents were in trouble and they had to reach them quickly.
"I was a fool Azar...." She said softly, her golden eyes downcast as she walked. "I let him steal my heart and almost let him steal my family... we need to go see mom and dad now..."

Azar looked at her sister before glancing back at where they were going. She lifted her head sniffing the air trying to figure out where her parents were. She waited a moment before an idea came to mind, some where, she had been there before with her father. It was a place that he went to observe the borders. She nudged her sister. "I think I know which way daddy is." She said simply as she started to lead her sister in that direction. She knew where she wanted to go and she was pretty sure that he was there, at this point she was really wishing they lived in a smaller pride. She really wanted to get there a lot quicker then she was moving now.
She looked back at her sister then she shook her head. "He was a pretty good trickster. Thats all." She said as she looked over at her sister again before shaking her head. "It isn't your fault anyone can fall into a con artist's tricks." She said simply to her sister it was very true. It wasn't exactly her fault that she fell into the lions tricks. She shook her head as her claws stuck out into the sand that she was traveling on once more. "they won't put a paw on mom and dad." She half snarled, she then calmed down and nodded at her sister. "Sorry I need to be a little calmer." She was fuming at the moment but she didn't want to scare her sister, being as she already seemed pretty sad she didn't want to make it seem like her sister was mad at her too. "You're not a fool, and they won't get past us. I'll make sure of it, not one is going to hurt mom or dad."

Zii nodded her head, her golden eyes scanning the horizon, tears still brimming over her lids. "But I should have known Azar... why would anyone fall in love with a firekin without flame? I have no anger... no fire... I am white as the sun and yet I lack the heat... " She paused. "I should have suspected it all along."
"I really liked him Azar... I even loved him... we flirted with being mates even... It was all a lie..." She huffed quietly under the beating of her heart and the wind in her lungs.
"Our parents will look down on me for being so weak. I couldn't even confront him there... "

Azar glanced at her sister for a second before shaking her head. "Some one could easily fall in love with you. If some one fell in love with me they can fall in love with you." She said simply before she started to trot a little more, pausing for a moment then shaking her head. "He's stupid." She grumbled to herself before she started to think a little bit. She was trying to not say the whole. 'I told you so thing' but she made sure to keep her mouth shut, it would be a while before he sister was okay with everything and Azar knew it but for now she was concerned about her parents.
"They won't look down at you. You're a lioness to be proud of." She nodded at the idea before flicking her tail behind her. "We're almost there sis." She said nudging her sister gently. She wanted to move and get this done as quickly as she could. She couldn't help but to think about her cubs while doing this. she also wanted to make sure that they were safe and weren't goingt o be harmed. That was one thing for sure. Between her cubs, her sister and her parents she was focused on making sure that she would do her hardest and make sure no one got hurt.

Zii just lowered her head and shook it, not wanting to talk anymore. As they neared where she knew her parents were, she sped up a bit faster in a panic. She couldn't be calm. She had to get to them before Rowtag did.
