The day was young, and the sky was bright. Boredom had struck Rynskald as he made his way around the prides outskirts. He wasn't really doing anything but trying to get into some trouble. He wanted to be like Thona in every way. Now that he had disregarded his mom, he decided that he was going to be completely like Thona. His mother and some lion who had raised him, who he believed at the time was his dad, ran off together. Leaving him and his siblings behind. It hurt him, and he felt they abandoned him.
It seemed no time had passed since he was a cub, and almost considered an adult in the pride. He loved every minute of it. Though, he was sure his brothers hated it. For he wasn't like his brothers. While they were all like that female who gave birth to him, and were weak and pathetic in his mind. He liked to beat them up all the time, when ever he got a chance to do so. Of course, now he'd have to try someone a bit bigger, someone who'd at least give him a challenge to beat.
With that, he pushed everything about his so called family out of his mind. He'd never remember them after that, at least, not on purpose. He had a angry look upon his face, as he figured that's how Thona always looked when around the land. Little did he know, Thona had tons of things he did into tricking those around him. Rynskald would never learn of those ways. He lashed his tail as he moved the land. Trying to make himself look bad a**, and dangerous. Of course, he probably was failing pretty bad on that. Manorama had made her journey to this hot place with a male and two cubs. She had gotten separated from the male she was with and one of their cubs. Though, at least she remembered the general area that he was going to. He had spoken of a pride that might actually accept Manorama's crazy bio-polar behavior. This intrigued her very much, and she had to go there. Hero was just that, her hero. He was everything to her, yet nothing at the same time. She couldn't live without him, unless certain days where she actually forgot about him would let her.
Today was a fairly good day for her. She felt rather easy, and not so crazy. Which was a good thing. Her cub, on the other hand was just as crazy as she, or possibly more so. She felt bad for the moment for passing such things down. Of course, most the time she didn't even realize such stuff. It only took a really good day, that she would actually admit to herself that something was wrong with her. It was scary to think about at times.
They moved slowly, for Manorama didn't want to tire her small little cub. Of course, she was sure that wasn't too much of a problem. She could easily pick up little Ren, and carry her. Though, Rama had spotted something green in the close distance and thought it was best to let the little cub walk next to her. And possibly behind her if she need to protect her. Ren came first, so did her other cub. Who she slightly remembered for the moment. He wasn't around, so it wasn't like he was on her mind this very second. She had a feeling he wouldn't be the one to stick around anyways.Renveshalhiarisv followed her mother closely. She wasn't in a good mood at all. She didn't want to go with her mother, she wanted to play. But she was too afraid to wonder away from her side. Big things could easily eat her, or so her mother and father had told her at one time. She wished she hadn't gotten separated from her father and brother. She wanted to play with someone as they moved to where ever this place was going.
She was upset with her mother, and didn't have a problem showing it. With sighing every few steps, and stomping as she went. "Mommy, I don't want to do this!" She'd also say quite often. Though her mother wasn't paying attention to it at all. Which made her even more angry. Why wasn't she paying attention to her! She was more important then anything else that she could be doing. This was so unfair! She wanted attention, and she wanted it now! "GRRR" She started to stomp again. Making herself as loud as she could possibly do. There was nothing fun about walking. Nothing fun about not playing. Nothing fun about being an adult! She never wanted to grow up! Never!

Rynskald had quickly noticed two intruders. Of course, he wasn't worried about it. If they gave him problem he'd make them follow him to Thona. Or chase them off. Though, one was quite young. He knew Thona loved to kidnap little cubs from their parents. Perhaps this would give him a reason for Thona to respect him? Rynskald got it in his mind, that he was for sure going to cubnap that little cub. Of course, that probably wasn't the best idea on his part. He didn't realize that it was best to wait when the parents where noticing.
He started for them. Their orange bodies stood out well. He could easily tell that they were related. Either that one was the mother with her cub, or a older sibling traveling with her sister. Either way, it made no difference to him. He wanted to do something that'd make the pride proud of him. To give him a reputation, something to be proud of. Unlike some in his pride. He held himself as high as he could. Making himself look even more dangerous. Oh, he got this.
The sun made things much worse though. There was no breeze in this desert of doom. Bones here and there if you knew where to look. He had stepped on a small bird skull as he made his way to the two lions. He could only tell that the adult was a female, not the gender of the other one. His motivation was purely for the pride and himself. More himself then anything. He wanted to be the best, and he was going to try hard at it.
Manorama got more defensive of her cub. Now completely ignoring her daughters tantrum, she simply started to walk over her. Making sure that if that leopard was going to come to attack them, she could easily protect Ren. The leopard looked as unfriendly as they came. His fur was all puffed out, and he looked like he'd attack at any second. Manorama didn't like that. A frown fell upon her face. She could feel her mood changing as it was happening.
A stern look came upon her face. If he was going to seem mean and bad, so was she. She was much bigger then the young leopard, so she was sure she could easily take him if the situation proved to need it. Which she was now fully ready for. Though she wasn't going to attack him if the situation didn't call for it. She didn't want to put her cub in danger if she didn't have to. He looked like perhaps he came from the pride she was looking for.
She was told it was a pride of rather rude filled self-centered creatures such as the leopard she was looking at. She had stopped moving, and hopped her cub would too. At least, if she didn't, it was easy enough to pick her up and put her in a more comfortable area for Rama. She waited, waited for the leopard to reach her rather her reach him. She didn't want to start anything. Didn't want to make things worse then they had to be.
Renveshalhiarisv finally noticed why her mother hadn't been paying attention to her. A rather odd creature started to approach them. She soon became quite, mostly out of curiosity to him. Something about him screamed danger, and she didn't want to miss anything. Though fright was building up with in her. He was scary, and she didn't like him one bit. He seemed to know what he was doing.
She stopped when her mother did and hid behind one of her legs. Which wasn't really hard. Ren wasn't a very big lioness cub. She was quite small for her age. Which didn't matter to her, just made things more scary at times. Her ears were back and she was low to the ground peeking around at the male.... what was he? She wasn't sure. She'd never seen such a thing. Nor had anyone ever told her about anything but something called Gods.... Even then she didn't pay attention much.

They had stopped moving towards him. Well, that made things a little easier for him. At least they weren't trying to run away. Perhaps they were giving up before it even started. He was close enough now, that he could see the little cub cower behind it's mother. How pathetic. He hoped that when it was in the pride, he'd be able to teach it to be less afraid of things. More tough, like him. If male of course. Females were only good for one thing, or that's what Thona had told him. What that one thing was... He wasn't sure. Thona never really had actually told him what it was.
Perhaps it was something he'd have to learn on his own. He stopped when he got close enough, to where if he needed to he could attack them easy. Though, he noticed how much bigger the lioness was to him. He wasn't use to running into female lions. There weren't very many of them with in the pride he called home. He eyed her for a moment, before making any type of conversation to her.
"What are you doing in these lands?" He spat at them to begin with. Perhaps the adult would easily state her business. That way it'd be easier on the both of them. Of course, he was more prepared for the not so easy way. For that was what he was kinda hoping for. He had a urge to beat someone up out side of the pride, but then again if he didn't have to he was told not to start trouble in case they wanted in the pride. Which made him frustrated as hell.
It took several minutes before he was close enough to where he could easily speak to her with a maybe save distance. Though, it made her uneasy to think that he was as close as he was. She could see every detail of his spotted body. His green and white body. Perhaps he was the king of this land? No, not from the things she heard, he didn't look right. Perhaps a close relative.
She stood silent and waited for him to speak first. He was, after all, at the upper hand. He could stand this land easy, and knew of it well. Or at least that's what she was going to guess. He seemed to know his stuff, and she didn't want to underestimate him one bit. Doing that was what got others killed if they didn't watch themselves. Rama wasn't about to let that happened. Finally, he spoke.
"I'm looking for someone, and a pride" She simply said. Her tension obvious in her words. She wasn't going to hide the fact that she wasn't comfortable with the other's actions. She lashed her tail in irritation, but kept the rest of her rather calm looking. She was at slight ease that her cub was at her feet and actually paying attention for once.
Ren continued to remain silent. She didn't want to be noticed by the scary thing. At least for now, her mother seemed be handling the situation just fine. She didn't need to try to ruin it for anyone. She tended to make everything worse if she started to talk. That wasn't what was needed here. Or perhaps it was the fact Ren was too scared to actually say anything or even move.

He eyed the lioness carefully. He didn't want to mess up on this. He wanted to prove he could do anything that anyone else can. Even though he wasn't a full adult. Things would be just fine if he just choose to be careful about things. She didn't give him all the information he needed, though just enough to ease up a bit. So she wanted to be in the pride did she? Seeing as his pride was the only one for... well along ways. He figured it must be the pride she was looking for.
He loosened the tension between the two. Since he was the one that was causing most of it. His facial expression quickly went from being the rude and cruel one to being down to business. He knew what his pride wanted, and he learned fast as it was. He wasn't that smart, but he at least could get a hint when one was present. "Well, why didn't you say so to begin with." He said simply in a dull voice. He was really hoping that she was just lost, and he could have been able to beat her up or something.
"If it's the Bhanu"Ecchumati prides, then I am obligated to help you" He started off. "Not that I'm pleased with helping, but it's part of the way of the pride" He made sure she knew exactly how not pleased with this he was. "As for looking for someone, that could prove to be hard. We don't exactly get many here. Though I believe there was a lion with a cub that came here not to long ago. " He shrugged. It wasn't anything to him. But the males had similar colors to her and the other cub. Was probably who she was looking for.
He also explained the rest of the pride to her. Any detail that he could thing of. It was another thing he was obligated to do. He had to explain everything, and make sure they knew exactly what they were getting into. For if they decided to leave, they'd become on a list of Thona's who he'd want to kill if he ever saw them again.
Manorama shrugged at the leopard when he asked her a question. "I guess I assumed you'd attack me first" She simply said. Of course, assuming wasn't always the best thing to do. It kept her alive at times. She at least, thought he was lucky that she was being civil and her mood was in a better more sane one. She lashed her tail as she began to listen to what he had to tell her about the pride. Interesting, yet frightening all the same.
Though, it was the one place she knew who wouldn't get all weird about her changing moods. She wouldn't have to explain to them, or worse... Have Hero explain to them her behavior couldn't be fixed. Of course, she tried sometimes. She tried hard to make herself normal for Hero. But it hadn't worked. She figured that's why they got separated was because of her. She could see her self, and her cubs becoming quite at home with this pride. She just needed a little guidance and help with it.
"I understand." She said as he stopped talking. There was nothing else to it. Other then exactly that. She didn't have anything else to say. She knew that no matter how many kids she had, they'd all turn out just like her. Or at least that's how she saw it. She could feel her mood changing agian. This time it was more relaxed and happy in a way. Yet still she felt like crying. She held it in as she looked at him. Put up a fake front for her daughter mostly.
Renveshalhiarisv didn't know what was going on. She tuned them out half way through their conversation. It wasn't like she knew what they were talking about either. Something about a king, then some type of pride, then killing. Sounded boring. Though, she was still too scared to move. Even if things seemed to be a little different then when the male first came up to them. She was afraid of such a creature. He looked so funny, yet weird at the same time. Who knew such things existed! He was like what came out of her bad dreams. Yet not really. She Hid completely behind her mother's leg now, she didn't want to do anything but hide from the thing that was massive in size compared to her, yet small compared to her mother.

With that, Rynskald said nothing more. Turned and started to walk the other way. Not even making sure they were following him. He was sure they'd get the hint from him walking away from them. Of course, it was probably a stupid move to let them look at his back. He didn't think about that stuff though. Not yet anyways. He trusted that they'd just follow him. That's how it worked, wasn't it?
Manorama didn't need to take a hint twice. She took a step back letting her daughter out from under her, and quickly picked her up. She wasn't going to let her walk anymore. Not when going into a pride full of things that could hurt them for being outsiders. Then again, she did state she wanted to join, at least in a way that might make the other thing she wanted to join.
Ren squeaked as she was picked up. She hated being picked up. She felt so helpless and she couldn't move at all. Just dangle there as her mother carried her. At least it beat having to walk. Her feet hurt, and she didn't want to do anything but play. Until mr.green dude came. Then she just wanted to hide, and not move for a very long time.
