Hakuna'jina - Das Tor
&
Telemakhos - Manda
Hakuna stretched, exhausted from the lessons she'd given that night. With so many young ones, things had been busy for her. Thankfully, her own cubs were nearly grown. She'd enjoyed her last litter...She'd done better with them than she had with her first two, she felt. Even if a few of them were...odd. Not that it was new to her family. There was always some oddity in her line, it seemed. Her and Nyota's destructive starts, Drathir's.....whatever it was, Dome's muteness...It didn't seem to affect their worth as demons, however.
And that made her proud. She'd raised good demons, strong demons. She smiled slightly, starting back towards the dens.
At the moment, Telemakhos was lounging atop a rock just outside of the denning area, tail-tip twitching back and forth as he wondered if he ought to go and do something tonight. Probably he should but ... the large red male went through bouts of profound laziness. He didn't really care, of course, but his brother might if Verge caught him being idle. However, at the moment, the Aran'shale was nowhere around. So Te yawned slightly and just stayed on his rock - watching the comings and goings of others.
Hakuna noticed Te as she drew closer, and perked up slightly. She'd grown fond of the other Sparda-spawn, though not quite as fond as she was of Verge. She chuckled at his laziness, raising a paw up to poke a leg. "I see you're taking advantage of the fact Verge is elsewhere?" She gave him an amused smirk, rather used to how Te tended to act.
Having actually started to doze a bit, Te jumped when his leg was poked and raised his head, blinking. "Oh ... hey Hakuna," he replied with a little sort of lazy grin. "Yea, how'd you guess?" He wasn't exactly like this -all- the time, so he could afford to take a break now and again, right?
The lioness sat. "Hmmm...perhaps the fact you're attempting to nap before the night is out?" She yawned. "Not that I blame you. Life has been rather tiring lately. So many cubs...I'm glad more than a few of them are nearly grown."
Te chuckled softly at that and nodded, pushing himself up to sit as well. Cause it would be kinda rude to fall asleep or something whilst he was talking with her. "Mmhmn. Though I'm sure more little ones will show up sooner or later," he pointed out with a grin.
Hakuna nodded. "True. Someone's bound to have more. We're a rather...prolific pride." Which was both a good and bad thing. Hopefully more of the new-blood members would have cubs. Before the entire pride was related to each other.
Te nodded at that. "Oh indeed we are," came the reply with a little smirk. He was rather fond of how some of the newer members looked himself. But he also knew that Verge would probably bite his head off if he actually -did- anything about it.
Hakuna chuckled. "I'm rather surprised there haven't been little Tes wandering around." Despite his loyalty to Verge...it was surprising that Te hadn't contributed to the cub count, for some reason. She hadn't known him before the pride but...Huh. She wasn't sure.
"Mmn... I think if I randomly went and ah. Created some little Tes, my brother might kill me," he replied with a bit of a wry smile. It wasn't that he didn't -want- cubs, but...
Hakuna nodded. "Ah....that would make sense, indeed." She chuckled. "Have you talked with him about it, if you do want little Tes? It wouldn't hurt to arrange at least a litter." And it would be a bit hypocritcal of Verge to deny his brother cubs of his own blood.
There was a sigh at that and Te shook his head a bit. "Not really... you're probably right, though. I should at least ask." Though it might result in his being booted out of his own den for a night or two. Well ... it might just be worth it.
The lioness nodded and gave him an encouraging smile. "If he gets mad about it, you're welcome in my den until it blows over. Unfortunately, I think that's about as much as I'll be able to help."
Te grinned at that and bobbed his head a bit, then swept a paw through his mane to get it out of his face a little. "Thanks, Hakuna. Though I dunnnooooo... who I might wanna make little Tes -with-." He eyed the red femme. Hmnn. She was really nice and had already had several litters with his brother so maaaybe... Verge wouldn't pitch too much of a fit if it was with Hakuna. But he didn't want to force her into anything either.
Hakuna noticed the look and raised a brow. "There's quite a few females who probably wouldn't pitch a fit. Though...is there an idea running through your head Te?" He was a smart lion and a look like that...well, it wasn't hard to tell that Te might have a plan. He did, after all, know Verge far better than Hakuna did, having grown up with him and being his lover.
The large red male actually looked just slightly embarrassed for a moment. "Well, it kinda has to do with you..." he said slowly, offering her a lopsided sort of grin.
Hakuna blinked. And it clicked. "OH." Well. That...could certainly work. "I do think Verge would likely throw less of a....'fit'. And the litters by me would siblings." She rather liked that idea.
Well, it was good that she wasn't totally against the idea! "Exactly!" he agreed with a quick grin. "After all ... he's had so many cubs with you ..." he trailed off and struck a bit of pose. "How in the world could he ever refuse me the chance to also do so with such a lovely lady~" Yes, Te was being somewhat silly now...
Hakuna chuckled, smiling. "I wouldn't call myself 'lovely'...but I do have a certain allure of form." She was fit, striking, and even the scars she bore seemed to add to it all. That and Te had rubbed off on her a bit. "Perhaps it'd be best for both of us to speak with him, in that case."
Te nodded at that, suddenly a bit more serious again. "Mmn... probably. I would definitely not be opposed to the idea, however," he pointed out with a purr.
Hakuna nodded, purring as well. "Nor would I." In truth, she wasn't sure she could deny either brother what they wanted, so long as it didn't harm them, the pride, or the young she'd borne. "Shall we go wait for him?"
He nodded at that and stood up, stretching a bit. "Sounds good to me~" he replied, grinning. Hopping off his rock, he headed toward the den that he shared with his brother, glancing back to be sure she was following.
