Habib Aja sat on a small rock ledge over looking the lands called the elephant graveyard. Why would anyone want to live in a place with such a dark names? This is not what brought Aja here though. He had been told hyenas lived here, and of all the creatures he ran into every day hyenas weren't one of them. He stayed just on the border just hoping to watch other hyena interact at the very least

Ahsante loved his home. Of course he wasn't impressed with being led by a female but it was one of those things. In fact he hated females, they were all so bossy and they all moaned so much, he couldn't stand it. In fact he couldn't stand anyone who didn't think like he did.

Met a grumpy old guy? If you haven't you were about to. Ahsante was your typical old moaner. He hated everything and anything. He tended to stay in the heart of the pack lands where he would lay under some bones and sleep the day away till someone else moaned at him.

Today someone had moaned. He was off to scavenge or hunt. That of course took him to the borders of the pack where he would rather not go.

Just when Aja was about to give up his large fluffy ears picked up the sound of movement. His eyes scanned the area to locate the source of the sound. It was another moment or two but thanks to being up higher he was able to spot to other hyena. His ears flicked fowards and he tilted his head, it had been so long since he had seen another of his kind he had almost forgotten what they look like. It was almost strange to think that, that was what he looked like as well. He fluffed a little trying to think of how to react. "Greetings!" Aja called finally not daring to step passed the border though.

Ahsante's grey body found it's way through the bones as easily as anything. He knew the graveyard so well now that it took him seconds to reach the borders and then a few minutes to catch the scent of a stranger that was followed by a word.

"Greetings? What are you some strange bird... Greetings indeed... what hyena is actually polite!" He shouted at the stranger, not really caring what the other male thought. You had to be tough living here and the hyenas weren't the nicest of creatures some of the times and that was just life. Getting Ahsante to be nice... well that was close to impossible.

Aja raised a brow and laughed a little at the reaction of the other hyena. "A bird indeed that hangs on the cliff side hoping to see what it can see. I am a hyena that is polite though I did not know this was a rare creature." Habib Aja settled himself thinking this was an interesting hyena. "Are all the hyenas that way around here?

Ahsante just looked up at the hyena and stared. There was nothing to say, nothing. The hyena wasn't a hyena, One of those so called gods must be playing a trick on him or maybe he was just getting old and his mind was playing tricks on him.

"What are you?" He didn't answer the question, he didn't answer questions unless it was a decent question. Which of course it wasn't. Maybe Ahsante had hit his head, or maybe he was dreaming. Yes maybe he had never woken up this morning.

Habib Aja tapped his paw to his jaw thinking over the other's reaction. This land must be filled with grumpy hyena, not a place he would wish to stay for long, the land was far to filled with bones for his licking anyways. "What am I? What do I look like? A better question would have been: Who are you? Why my name is Habib Aja, at least this is what I call myself. I do not know what my original name might have been. It is long since forgot as my past. Who are you?" Aja lay down on his little ledge cross his paws and staring at the other hyena with much interest

Yep Ahsante must have just not woken up this morning because this was one odd hyena.

"What the hell are you on?" He snarled a little as he spoke. Not in a vicious way but more a warning to be careful.

"I don't care about your name... I would have asked if I had cared." Seriously. Some hyenas are just annoying to say the least, maybe this hyena was actually female pretending to be male. That would explain everything!

"A rock ledge I would assume. And sorry for my misunderstanding it was just such an odd question. What are you? If not a hyena what could you possibly think I am?" Habib Aja caught the snarl but really just ignored it he felt in a sade position right now. Not to mention that he was only on the border not in this hyena's lands. "Any more strange question?"

Ahsante was getting more and more annoyed and he was suppose to get some food. Right that was it he was going to get some food or he would get moaned at again.

"Well whatever you are if you aren't joining the pack you can leave." He then turned from the conversation and started walking alongside the border keeping his senses wide open for any food.

Habib Aja got to his feet and followed the hyena's path along the border. He hopped from each tiny footing on the rocks like a little goat. He normally spent a lot of time in the mountains so it wasn't to hard for him to adapt to rock and bone. "Well without a name or any info on the pack, how would I know if I should join the pack. I mean this place will not sell me on looks alone sir? What is it about the lands and your ways that keep you here, stead of moving to greener lands. Food would seem to me a scare thing here, though there are pleanty of bones. Does the elephants come here to die enough that you have food from them" Habib's questions almost seemed endless but he was curious why a hyena would choose this pack over another. He really knew nothing about this pack

"If you want questions answered look for Tukutu. I don't answer questions." That was the last thing he was going to say on the matter. Had this male not realised that he wasn't a talkative guy? Oh he wanted to get some food and leave now, but he couldn't get food without going past him.

Right new decision... Ahsante turned his back on the male and headed back into the bones. He didn't want to talk anymore, it was as simple as that.

"But I rather talk to you." Aja called after the male with a slight grin he was having just a little to much fun with this. "I can't talk to this Tukutu without crossing your border should you nor escort me through your lands? I mean what kind of pack just lets an intruder walk about?" Aja then jumped across the border scent line. Perhaps it was alright for him to wander here meet other hyenas.

"You will be killed if we don't like you. Just go." He then turned and walked off, loving the fact that he knew the graveyard so well. It meant that he could move away from this annoyance as quickly as possible. He was sure if he ran into one of the females he would quite possible be torn apart on the spot.

"Enjoy." That was all he would say. He was going now. He had had enough

Aja blinked perhaps it was best just to leave it at that. "Nice talking to you, may your hunt be fruitful...." He shook his head and turned to leave it wasn't fun if there was a threat of a fight. This is not where he wanted to stay. Perhaps they were so grumpy because the area was so dark and gloomy, yes that must be it. With that Aja turned and left the lands.
