Metroid: The Movie

People are saying that a movie based on a game is going to suck, but then again it's never really been tried. What do you think about the Metroid movie?

It is going to rock and fullfil most of your gamers heart with glee and joy. I am still waiting for the Halo Movie to come out, but not as much as Metroid. And actualy, there was a movie modeled after a game. Tron. That movie was also good.

If they do it well, and put the effort into it like SW 3 -revenge of the sith, It'll do very well. But all the graphics in the world won't save the film if they pull out a crappy story. Which i doubt will happen..The metroid storyline is pretty solid. It'd be hard to deviate from it..without losing the whole story all together. Which also raises concern... sweatdrop

Well, they made Advent Children work. ^^ I dont see why a Metroid movie would be bad...but I would be worried about the speacial effects. There would be alot. Probably the entire focus of the movie, really. The metroid games arent really known for storylines.

... I was hoping they'd use a new actress for Samus. Popular stars have a way with bringing out memories from their past shows. I don't want to be thinking about Kill Bill while watching metroid...

well that's not good at all. I hope he makes the movie really cool and worthwhile

Well, John Woo or whatever his name is is going to do it right? I have faith in him, and as long as it will be in the form of past tense as the games are and cover her missions from SR388 - Zebes ( the first 3 games ), I think he couldn't go wrong. Then again, including Metroid Prime 1 in there wouls help the story also XD.

I really think they WOULD make Samus male. And make the space pirates/metroids talk. I can see space pirates, but...

Oh, and does anyone else think the opening menu screen of MP2 looked like a movie? I sure do.

I reckon the film will be awesome with all the next-gen graphics.
The baddies would have to be HUGE!!!
And just seeing Samus jumping around shooting Ridley... heart
I have to say.
If they do it well...Boy..It's gonna win Oscars!!

Maybe if Jolie dyed her hair blonde... xd
