The two pups in front of their mama are the ones up for contest! One will be for newbies and the other will be open for all, and a post includes information about their family. Please, please read up on the pack before you begin your entry! I absolutely adore the Peke Na (no really, I don't have any wild dogs that aren't a part of it or going to be part of it) and will notice if you haven't.

The Family



The immediate family all resides within the Peke Na, only their Uncle is traveling the roguelands, but they'll meet him soon.

Moonbug (tuesdayscat): Mama, Mommy, Mom - Moonbug has been in the Peke Na since her birth; she's never left and never plans on leaving. Though she'd never admit it, she's terrified by the idea. She likes to climb trees and the safety of knowing that if she puts her back to the pack, she's supported. All that open space involves too many uncertainties, though she respects those who have gone and returned. She's cheerful, and spontaneous - Harvestmoon has described her as being "little better than a pup", but she also knows when to be serious, for however brief a span of time. She gets impatient with sadness, especially when others dwell on the past. Her best friend is Littleshield, another she-dog in the pack, and Littleshield's daughter, Lightstep. Moonbug will most likely be the one to play with the pups and encourage adventure, but not the best one to go to with tears or deep thoughts. She simply doesn't have the attention span to deal with stuff like that. She'll love all the puppies, forever and ever and to the depth of her all the same.

Harvestmoon (tuesdayscat): Father, Daddy - Tormented would be the best word to describe Harvest. He left the pack when he was barely an adolescent with his brother, Newmoon. While in the roguelands, he found a female with whom he became mates. They had only just found a den and returned from a hunting trip to feed his pregnant mate when the three of them were attacked by a large, dark lion (Rå'styrke, of the Myrsky Syntynyt). Harvest and his brother escaped only with the help of another lion (Talamo, of Tete'boma), but Harvest's mate and her unborn puppies all perished. It took a few weeks for Harvest to heal, and he was attacked on his way back to the pack, but all that remains of the ordeal are scars on his shoulder and side that aren't immediately visible beneath his pale pelt. Within the Peke Na, he is protective and stern, smiling rarely and typically spending his time watching the border for the return of his brother. He will be ridiculously protective of his puppies, but he'll probably smile more often for them and they will be his saving grace (which was Moonbug's intention when she sought to get pregnant by him, she loves him in her own way...).

Note about the parents relationship: They are not lifemates, they won't recognize one another, but they will probably breed again and be relative companions within the pack. Moonbug loves him, though she won't admit it because she's too prideful, and Harvest is as fond of Moon as he could be of anyone at this point - he might even come to love her. The pack works on mutual raising anyway, so the pups probably wouldn't notice anything was different than everyone else in the pack.

Brothers and Sister (In Birth Order)

The eldest- Fallingsun - (Aniia) - Brave, and loving. He is laid-back most of the time, unless he gets an itch to explore. He'll love to play with his siblings, and would be very protective of his family as he got older. He might wander off when he reaches adulthood, but he will always return home, because that is where his heart will remain.

The second-born- Whispereddreams - (Uta) - Whisper is a softspoken and gentle pup, and likely will never grow out of it. While he enjoys games and playing with others, he is often more concerned with their well being, both physically and mentally, and won't hesitate to offer a helping paw. A nurturer to the core, he isn't very rough and prefers the gentler aspects of life, like star gazing or singing as opposed to rough housing or being loud and obnoxious. In fact, one of his favorite activities is to do nothing more than daydream or sit in quiet speculation.

Despite choosing a quieter lifestyle, he is strong of spirit as well as his convictions - family and pack will always come first, and he will defend the honor of both no matter what.

Middle child- Nightsky - (Sherlock Complex) - ??

Somewhere in the middle- Sweetlife - (tuesdayscat) - ??

Second-to-last- Larklight - (Adona Benedicta) - Larklight, born second to last in the litter of moon-marked cubs, is a curious soul. There appears to be no will to survive if it means turning back from an adventure. He does brave, stupid things, and it'll probably be what he's best known for when he grows up. He's one of those dopey heroes who seems to be eternally optimistic, even in the face of Grave Danger. As such, if you need help, he's the most likely to dive headfirst into peril for the sake of others. He is not the smartest dog in the kennel, if you know what I mean, and values others in the pack far above himself.

The Runt- Soulsinger - (tuesdayscat) - Though literally the smallest, her parents never worried when Soulsinger came tumbling out last. Her own mother is small even in adulthood. As the only girl, her parents dote a little, but Soulsinger is too focused on following her older brothers around to notice. When asked what she wants to be when she grows up, she'll spout whichever brother she's following around that day. "I want to be Larklight when I grow up!", substituting whichever littermate is closest or that she's presently engaged with. In the end, she'll be a storyteller because even as a puppy she'll enjoy singing, humming and making up songs about her day. She likes to rhyme things, which can get annoying to others (including her brothers) but it will come in handy later in life (despite childhood strife!). Her toothache sweetness will eventually mellow out to alto tones and steadfast support.

This boy is the Free-4-All! Doesn't matter how many SoA you own, or even if you already have a Peke Na puppy or adult! Because I don't want my poor head to explode and have to judge two separate entries, this one is going to be done in RAFFLE form!
