Tonight I was looking at the large version of mindsend's map and noticed that none of the rivers are named. Pin pointing a location in Soquili is sometimes crucial for herd leaders and extensive roleplayers alike. Not to mention that a majority of our rivers in the United States was originally named by the Native Americans.
So I had an idea. Host a small event to name the rivers that are visible. The names would have to be from the Cherokee Dictionary. The prizes could be something small from Monthly Collectible Letters, gold, to even a common familiar.
We could even go as far as naming the other forests, the older plains, and even the mountains themselves. But that's completely up to staff on how in depth they want to make the map and still have it clutter free.

I like the idea however we might be stepping on toes with this, it is a staff/Sirenz/whoever's job it is to name what places are on the map and so being as such this may not be a good idea and the reason those places haven't been named yet is because whoever is in charge of naming places on the map haven't had places confirmed by the boss or whoever/whatever so hence why some places haven't got names.
As I said, I like the idea but yeah, some toes might be stepped on.

That's the whole point of making a suggestion is so the staff can review the idea and decide on whether they like it themselves or if it's already in the works. You can never find out what they have planned or even have your ideas heard if you don't offer them up to be reviewed.

With Eve on this.
This is a suggestion, and obviously wouldn't happen without the consent of the staff. It would have to be the staff that would run such an event. No toes would be stepped on.
And I think its a brilliant idea.

I like this idea very much. How about everyone here think of cool Cherokee names for each river and then I'll update the map!

I think the river near the Cursed Graveyard should have the name a-ga-s wa-ya (muddy water coyote).

This is a very cool and fun idea! heart I'd like river coming from Rockslide Falls to be named: wa-le-lu di-ya-te-ni (hummingbird flats).

Oh this looks fun!
For the river coming from the Hot Springs I kind of like:
gv-nah-ge tsi-ya Uweyvi (Black Otter Stream)
>.> Hope I did that right lol, I'm not too familiar with Cherokee

For the river between the Forest and Eastern Swamp: u-tlv-ta di-gv-tsu-gi = Sharp Forked Tongue
I'm not feeling very creative at this hour, but I really like this idea. I love some of the suggested names thus far. <3

MY SUGGESTION!!!
okay now hear me out on this one.
The Maize River.
it sounds plain and silly i know but stay with me.
Yes Maize as in corn. Think about Corn was a staple food of the native American people it represented a full belly, a mind at ease, friendship, and life itself.
Rivers also represent those things and a few you may not have thought of. Rivers to the native Americans represented neutral grounds between tribes, trading routes, a place to cool down and relax, and also common meeting place in general. Think about how many friendships are formed by meeting at the river smile i know more than a few of my Soq's ties are formed there. I would say the friendship river but that as im sure we are all aware is wayyyyyyyy to cheesy and the Maize river sounds somewhat metaphorical.
That and its simple personally i don't want a mouth full of words i want something i can remember.
Oh and this was a name suggestion for the river that runs by the village sorry i forgot to say that.
