Gaian Rikarai, reporting in.
She descended from a platform whose height was quite a ways above her destination. The grounds were barren, no other people or creatures in sight. The brave wind swept through the circular area, whisking the dust and dirt around only to misplace it. What was this, the fate of Gaia without the moderators? A barren, inhospitable land that claimed the desire of none. If this was the future, she would not have it. Her purpose was made loud and clear, in the present that she despised. Clad in all black, she would be one of the many Harbingers that would step forward in this time of momentary chaos, the chaos that always seemed to find her never-peaceful land. A beautiful lie, but one she chose to protect. "You have two dice, child. Use them truthfully and your path will continue true. Only when you show success, will victory reveal itself to you." In the middle of her battleground, there was one, lone Grunny. Blissfully unaware of its fate until its purpose was realized, it idled about the dirt, searching for some form of amusement or edibles to feast upon.
BEGIN.
Two dice manifested in her hand, amber and white in color, vibrant and translucent. With that, a smile spread across her face at a pace that was painfully slow to watch. It evolved into some twisted grin, some haphazard smirk, a twisted smile. The party had only just begun. The beginning of a S A V I O U R.

The battle had begun the moment she had her enemy in sights. Her wrist turned slowly, fingers dexterously twisting and nudging the two dice in her hand. The clicks of the hard plastic matched in time with the echoing taps of her steps: slow, paced, and ominous as she approached the pitiful Grunny. It was on its haunches, unaware of the impending threat the Gaian could possibly pose. They were alone and her steps brought the distance between them to a close. All motions stopped when Rikarai came to a halt, ceasing movement a particular distance from the creature. It was now or never. And she'd rather it be now, than never. This was her opportunity and she would be a S A V I O U R. Her arm raised, hand clenching the dice behind her. The wind tore her hair from brushing along her back, casting it into the sky before it was brought back down again, at the mercy of the wind and its tamer. Gearing up, the tension in her arm increased, muscles clenching. The dice in her hand were high and for a second, she held her breath, wishing the blessing of Lady Luck. Rikarai's eyes were bound, leaving it all to Lady Luck. But this wasn't her last chance. This was only the beginning. Movements restarted. In one fluid, smooth arc from back to front ...
DICE.
She hurled them as far as she could, toward the small creature. Sensing the dice, it was immediately on its feet, alert and suddenly aware of the Gaian's presence. There seemed to be a pause in the flow of time, breath held as the dice soared through the air, the breeze pushing it left of its target. The dice began their descent, going down, down, down until they cracked along the pavement in audible distress. Skidding away, the dice revealed their numbers: 4 and 15. The grunny, wholly startled by the harsh sound of the impact, had its fur ruffled, but not once did it move from the place that it claimed.
ATTACK : UNSUCCESSFUL
There was a new pressure through the air, tense as the sky filled with the colors of dusk, the beginnings of night. The pressure nearly forbade her to move, sealing her into that spot until she chose to move again. One attack left in the span of 12 hours. It was a hard decision. Wait, or continue. With a quick wave of her hand, the dice snapped back into her palm, whizzing by the poor creature who was beyond bewildered. It was about to begin again.

*click* ... *click* ... *click*
The dice clattered together once more, gearing up for another round. Glowing a beautiful amber color, what was left of the little light in the sky glinted off the hard edges of the 20-sided dice. Failure had not deterred her from her path. She eyed the growling Grunny with contempt, unsmiling. "You're not getting in my way, you feeble creature."
DICE.
Again, she threw the dice as hard as she could, carefully watching the dice rebound off the ground. 18 and 18. Like a green light had blared through the entire area, Rikarai leaped into the air, twisting her body to wind it into a tense coil. Her blade was supported by both hands, preparing to begin her attack. Everything was in motion, almost a blur until she and her blade made contact with the ground with a large tremor. The Grunny was hurled somewhere, rolling and tumbling along the way. The damage was dealt, the Grunny looked extremely battered, but still being fierce and going strong. Apparently, her attack wasn't enough. But that was good enough for now. She could wait until next time to charge her energy and bide her time.
