``<3 character: jmie, the 16yr old ruler of jmieland: everything is generally a tint of blue, the most prominent being a bright blue. white, snowy kittens with wide blue eyes and adorned with pink ribbons inhabit the island nation, worshipping their queen (dictator). jmie aims to take over the world one day, but in the past has been foiled by mark & brandon, who blew up the majority of her island, and has since then sought aide from historical figures such as alexander the great and machiavelli.

normally, jmie is a harsh, cold person who is bent on taking over the world. however, she was not always apathetic and solitary. in her youth, she enjoyed a friendship with a boy named nyn, and the two spent their days together. one day, he was shot for no reason by someone, and witnessing that happen has contributed to her becoming who she is now. while nyn survived the attack, he remains in slumber to this day and rarely awakens, sometimes to murmur words to his beloved friend. she celebrates a few holidays in honour of nyn and vows to take over the world not only for herself but for him as well. "christmas" happens on the day that he was shot, and this is how she honours his memory.

jmie walked through her silvery castle, humming happily at the kittens (her loyal followers) hanging decorations in the hallways. she picked up her favorite kitty, meowmie, and together they strolled into the gardens. setting meowmie down, jmie sat on a bench and picked a flower happily. all of a sudden, a flash of green appeared behind a white bush, startling the young ruler and her cat.

"stay back, jmie! i've got this!" yelled meowmie, laying flat on the ground, ears perked back. the green flash was seen again, and she pounced and the two began an epic game of cat and mouse, but meowmie was unsuccessful and her prey headed towards the castle after successfully striking the feline.

jmie ran up to her faithful companion, and laid her under a blanket while calling for aide. she herself transformed into the most gorgeous cat of all and bounded after the intruder. after several minutes, it finally turned to face her and exposed itself as a grunny.

``<3 the grunny ran. jmie landed, hard, on the stone surface. she made a mental note to ask the cats to cover the floors with something warmer, and preferably softer, during the winter season. she got up, arcing her lithe cat body and hissed a warning to the grunny.

``<3 the grunny licked itself, unfazed, and wiggled its tail in a mocking fashion. jmie growled, maintaining her cool and struck again. [*~

``<3 this time, she was successful, managing to strike the mutant bunny just as it bounded away. it gave her a final look, and hopped towards the castle again. jmie morphed back, pausing briefly to stretch into her human shape before taking the bell that hung on her neck and ringing it. the bell, linked to the giant belltower atop the castle, rang out and cats all over the island sat up, alarmed, and ran towards their homes to arm themselves. meows were heard everywhere.

jmie ran towards the castle, hoping that none of her cats would become injured in the process of eliminating the intruder. midrun, she turned back into a cat and followed the grunny down the pathway that led into the castle. the sun overhead shone through the trees, illuminating the pawprints in the snow the grunny had made.

``<3 ahead, the grunny paid no heed to the chaos ensuing in its wake, hopping mindlessly around the castle grounds, pausing sometimes to sniff at the curiously white bushes, obviously wondering if it could eat them for a snack. overhead, a cat in one of the many towers spotted the rabbit and aimed its bow and arrow at it, taking great care in tracking it's movement so as not to startle and lose the grunny. [*~

``<3 the arrow flew through the crisp air, hitting its mark cleanly and abruptly. the grunny screeched, startling the cats that had been attempting to get closer to it- they'd never heard a rabbit even make a noise before. slowly, however, they circled in on it, holding shields in front of them and brandishing various weapons threateningly. jmie appeared in the back of the throng, hissing at the grunny. it hopped over to a younger looking cat's shield and licked it, its tongue burning through the sapphires and metal like acid. the cat instinctively lunged forward with its flimsy sword. jmie watched warily, ready to come to the cat's aide if need be.

``<3 the grunny, offput that its attack hadn't upset the young warrior as much as it thought it would have, isntinctively twisted its body sideways, not having much room to manuveur. the other cats circled closer, starting a rhythmic stomping of their paws and jmie let out a loud meow as the sword hit the grunny despite its attempt to escape. [*~

``<3 the sword hit with a loud clang.

'clang?' thought the cats.

the grunny giggled uncontrollably, and as it did so, armour shifted into view- it had previously been hidden by its long, green fur. at the same time, a kitty noticed a few more grunnies hopping in their direction and yelled out, "intruders on the east!"

another squadron of cats came running out, and jmie shooed the ones already with her to go along with them- she would handle this one by herself, as revenge for it hurting meowmie. a couple of them hung back, offering silent support to their leader. jmie rolled her eyes at the cautious nature of her two main bodyguards, but didn't force them away from her battle. after all, they generally knew what they were doing.

``<3 jmie locked eyes with her prey, internally calm and ready. a shiver crept down the grunny's back at her change in positioning and attitude- all the fear had left her. jmie's front right paw moved forward, and then her left... right, left, right...

the grunny looked around, and found itself backed up against a wall. the two cats remaining smirked at each other knowingly. [*~

``<3 in the background, the new grunnies were being diligently fought by the cats, each side holding their own and refusing to budge an inch. the grunnys seemed distressed only by the fact that they had not yet reached their destination and that no destruction had occured. the cats, several of them ganging up on each grunny, executed battle strategy perfectly and with jmie's strike at the first grunny, the massacre began.

``<3 howls, thuds, and cheers were thrown together in a cacophony of sound as battles ensued all over the courtyard and soon added to it was the pealing of a bell, as a cat had made its way up to the belltower to inform jmieland's citizens of the intruders' continuing presence. male cats nuzzled their wives and children briefly before running in the direction of the castle and to the hidden forts and bunkers scattered throughout the front end of jmieland. a few cats separated from the group to enter the forest behind the castle, arming traps and enabling mines. they would not risk another terrorist attempt against jmie and jmieland. [*~

``<3 meanwhile, jmie had managed to greatly weaken her opponent with her first strike. it had fallen on the stone pathway and gradually got up to make its last stand. the grunny, with no choice but to lean against the wall for support, panted and used one of its good paws to wipe the dripping blood out of its eyes. it stared directly at the regal kitty and licked its paw clean, indicating it was just getting started.

jmie hissed, "you think you're so tough? no one messes with my cats, got it?"

``<3 she wasted no effort on a large and powerful lunge, but instead walked calmly up to her enemy and spat in its eye. she took the opportunity to kick the grunny in its leg and she turned away. she didn't need to look in order to know if the grunny had been beaten or not, so sure was she in her capabilities and strengths. the two cats that had stayed with her took a match and burnt the grunny's body, a sickly green fume arising as it slowly burned. the three felines walked gracefully away, headed towards the next opponent. [*~

``<3 behind the trio, a being slowly rose out of the ground. its eyes were hallowed, its limbs hanging limply at its sides, and it lumbered with great pain to the burning grunny body.

"eughhh," it said eloquently.

the being stared at the grunny for a moment, seemingly upset at the loss of its companion, and with a start, realized something. with one of its large, spade-like hands, the labtech picked up the the grunny and with the other hand, beat it firmly a few times to put out the flames. it beamed widely when the grunny stopped burning, and put it on its head happily.

"pahhh?" it inquired.

no response.

"duuunka." the labtech said, readjusting its friend's positioning on his head and started following the path jmie had taken.

``<3 it reached the field where the majority of the fights against the grunnies were happening. it stood there, waiting for the grunny to say something, but continued walking again after a few minutes. upon seeing how many white cats there were, the labtech sighed loudly. he put the grunny down, touching its forehead briefly, and rolled the rabbit down the hill. he followed.

a few cats looked away from their opponents to see what was coming towards them. they were surprised; jmieland didn't see too many human visitors this part of the year. a few of them glared warily at the labtech, and one particularily cautious one yelped a warning to jmie. just as she felt a grunny roll against her back paw, she turned around and struck whatever was coming at her. act first, apologize later, was her motto.
