This is a contest for the oldest boy in a litter of the newly official Ongozana'Ke pride. Take a look at their information before entering. Males must fight for their place in the during adolescence so at that point this cub may either stay and fight or leave, up until that point he should remain in the pride. Judging will be conducted by myself and pinchmonster, and will be based on the personality designed for the cub as well as any possible plot ideas for the future. Please follow thread rules as well as overarching shop rules. (: Start: NOW

Rules
1. Anyone may enter, regardless of number of SoA
2. No whining or guilt trips, judging will be made asap after closure
3. One entry per person
4. Cub must stay in the pride until adolescence
5. PM any questions to Dulcea or AIM at zuchieba

The Family Father, his family goes back a long way and he is proud to fight for his position. He will be a loving father, though his relationship with the cubs' mother is peculiar. They will live separately but the cubs will be free to come around and visit with him. He will encourage his boys to fight to stay, but will not object if they decide to leave.  Mother, she resides within the pride with her twin sister Sebae. She took an interest in Mkhai because of their mutual desire to start a family. There is an affection between them but nothing permanent. She is blind, but gets around just fine. First born - ? (?) - The contest cub Second born - ? I want to challenge the big boys!
Name: Oszikego
Meaning: Just a made up name
Personality: Oszikego, or Oszi for short, is a strange sort of boy. He is very finicky and easily startled because he becomes overly focused on something and his other senses seem to drown out. Its very easy to sneak up on him and startle him out of his fur. He will most likely fling himself into the air all puffed up and hissing. He may even lash out several times before he realizes what exactly just happened and then try to apologize by slinking as low to the ground as he can and rubbing up against the paws of those he's attacked. He would even do this as an adult, which could cause for funny/awkward situations, or pure utter embarrassment
But when Oszi isn't being startled or scared, he is a very intelligent boy, able to figure out almost anything. He also loves to explore the great out doors and virtually never tires. There is no tree in the pride lands that hasn't been clawed by his paws, and no bush that his nose has not found its way into. He knows all the best places to hide and may vanish from time to time just to have a few moments of solitude.
Any plot ideas: Despite the wishes and encouragement from his father, He does not like to start fights and really isn't very keen on staying within the pride because he is rather wary of others at times, and knows he would most likely lose, but he has his heart set on a certain lioness (could be any pride lioness) who doesn't really return his feelings. But he really wants to impress her and only her, so he decides to try and fight to stay in the pride.
I would like to say I think it would be hysterical if he somehow managed to actually win the battle by some extreme manner of fluke/luck, and the girl then rejects him. He would be both happy that he actually won, but depressed because not only did he not want to stay in the first place, but the girl of his dreams still doesn't return his feelings. But I realize that the battles are determined by dice roll so If he should win, perhaps that could happen.
If he looses, He probably would be scared, emotionally and physically and still pathetically in love with the lioness. I could see him sneaking around, staying low and far away, trying to catch glimpses of her hunting/sleeping/eating, but he would be too chicken to try and fight again, unless he had no choice but to try and defend himself.

Name: Isti Burun
Meaning: "warm nose" in Azerbaijani (Since his mother is blind I figured she might name her cubs based on other observable traits, rather than physical appearance).
Personality: Isti is very sensitive to teasing and insults. Not that he's the sort to plop down on his bum and cry, but rather he is quick to defend himself with his claws. The fastest way to see his claws is to mention the meaning of his name, which he thinks is entirely too wussy. Isti likes to think of himself as a deep thinker and clever planner, but in truth many of his plots are fairly shallow and poorly thought out. They are memorable, however, since Isti is convinced the best way to overcome his wussy name is to be as bad-a** as possible, which means he's probably spent more time bleeding than most cubs his own age, and he fights mean. The bleeding isn't necessarily from fights, though. Sometimes it's because he decided prove his ferocity and bravery and ended up falling or getting squished or broken or...well you get the picture. Unfortunately for Isti, he really isn't very good at reading people, which is why he tends to interpret so many things as insults and mockery when it really isn't. He reads too much into words and phrases and actions, and has a knack for twisting things to suit his own needs - at least in his own head. So that girl he likes who says, "it's nice to see you," in passing will suddenly be trying to secretly telegraph her attraction to him. Isti obsesses over that sort of thing, like the difference between "it's a pleasure" and "it's nice" or "I'm sorry" versus "I apologize."
Any plot ideas:
+ Nobody Nose the Trouble I've Seen - As a cub I imagine Isti would do just about anything to keep people from finding out that his name means "warm nose." I would like for someone with a bit of a mean streak to find out and tease him for it, even if it was just a sibling.
+ My Bad - In a similar vein, I can easily see Isti getting too carried away while fighting with someone and accidentally damaging them way more than he intended to do, or perhaps being badly injured himself.
+ He's A Creeper - I would really like Isti to take an unhealthy interest in someone. To the point where they felt either uncomfortable or actually afraid just being around him. So he'd follow her around, leave her gifts anonymous gifts, and all that.
+ I Belong Here - I do plan for him to fight to stay with the pride, but I'm not sure if I'd like him to win his battle. That would depend on what other plots he had going within the pride at the time. I do know he would feel obligated to fight, however.
+ All For You - Naturally, I'd like him to have a girl in the pride who is his reason to fight for the right to remain, but I would actually like it if she was either uninterested in him or interested in someone else, and so that would push him to do something drastic and ill-conceived which would get him in a lot of trouble

I want to challenge the big boys!
Name: Haziel
Meaning: Angel of truth and invoking the pity of God
Personality: Haziel is a lover not a fighter. He has a sweet, playful attitude and loves his sister more than anything. He is more of a momma's boy than father's son. He is not a wuss so much as he just detests the idea of fighting. He never wants to leave his sister but he does not want to fight for the chance to stay. This upsets him quite a lot.
Haziel is a naturally curious lion. He is always striving to find the truth. He will take anyone at their word until proven wrong once, and then he will check EVERYTHING they say for himself. When he sees something new, he wants to know how it works and why. He knows the world is not perfect, and his desire is to know how that is so and why.
Any plot ideas: He will discuss his future with his sister for her input. If she convinces him to stay, he will fight for his place and most likely be injured and lose. If she does not convince him to stay he will leave without injury.
I plan to have being separated from his sister haunt him for a long while as he wanders the Roguelands. He will likely try to find a mate that reminds him of her.
If he ever decides to go back it will only be to visit with his sister and perhaps introduce her to the mate he finds.

I want to challenge the big boys!
Name: Hadithi Sauti (nickname - Sauti)
Meaning: 'Story Voice' - swahili
Personality: A sweet and faithful cub he is devoted to his mom and siblings, and of course his extended family. Playful and bright he has a heart of gold and the strong personality of a one-day alpha male to back up his playful attitude and prevent him from becoming a push-over for older cubs. Because of the fact that their father doesn't live with them, he feels as if its his duty to make sure his mom is happy. He knows she is more than capable of dealing with her blindness, and in fact he has never seen her lack of sight as a disability at all. He is very proud of her and loves to play with her when she has time. His favourite thing is to walk with her and describe everything he sees, from the brilliant colours of the sunset to the movements of the buffalo herds and how funny their run looks. In return he adores the lessons she gives him, how to hunt by smell and hearing alone, how to experience the world with his other senses, how to move on silent paws, and knowing when he has succeeded when she can't follow him. But he absolutely favourite thing, as he grows and can move further from the pride, is to go out during the day and collect stories for Tulia, coming back in the afternoon and regaling her with his adventures. He longs to show her the world he sees, as she has shown him her world of sounds and smells.
Any plot ideas:
~ With his desire to give his mom better 'gifts' with his stories, he will travail further and further from the prideland, memorizing everything he experiences, seeking new and bigger adventures so that he can go home and tell her of everything he has seen and done in lands she can't physically visit.
~ His wanderings for his mom will mean he can't stay in the pride OOCly, but IC he will fight to stay at first, then loose. He will spend his adolescent years wandering and returning to her to give his 'gifts' but mostly living away from the pride.
~ Once he's an adult, he will return to the pride and fight again, and this time he has the chance to win and return as a member, though that may depend on what plots there are for him with the other members.
~ I'm kind of interested in him and a pride girl becoming involved in a Romeo and Juliet type relationship, where he wants to lifemate with her exclusively, but she is bound by the pride rules and such. How that ends would depend on the girl, he may give in and stay to keep close to her, despite her being with other males, they could try and be faithful while staying within the pride, she could opt to leave the pride for him and they go live as rogues, or he could leave heart broken while she stayed with the pride.

Name: Mshtuko
Meaning: Shock in Swahili
Personality:
Mshtuko is mischievous and playful, he is boisterous , as well as selfish, stubborn and immature. He can become rather destructive if there is no one there to occupy him. Mshtuko is rather childish, and doesn't know how to interact with other people besides his siblings and family. He feels being a prankster sets him apart from his other brothers due to the fact they all have similar pelts, he feels the need to allow himself to stand out. However he knows when he has to be a brother other than a prankster.
Mshtuko loves the ladies, he is a natural-born charmer with a genuine care and not a cheap put-on for females. He is a completely hopeless flirt when he wants to be.
Being the eldest he can be the most protective of his family. He is sometimes downright threatening when he feels his family is being threatened.
Any plot ideas:
+ I would like him to stay in the pride and prove himself worthy
+ The Love Interest:As an adol/adult I would like for him to meet a girl who sees his misfit ways and doesn't approve, which causes him to change into a more mature lion for her.
+The Accident: I would like him to play a prank on one of his brothers and it doesn't happen out he thought it would.

Name: Kimya'ugonjwa
Meaning: "Silent illness" in Swahili
Personality: Kimya will be a mute. Born unable to utter even a single shriek, he will be the poster child for "Actions speak louder then words." Kimya will be of bulking proportions, considerable more so over his fellow siblings, and compared to most males in the pride. To Kimya, survival will be everything. His everyday actions and motives will be to maintain his status in the pride and seek out a worthy female. Training himself from youth, Kimya IS a fighter, beyond any doubt in the word, and will willing to battle any male to prove himself for the pride, and to put his honor on the line.
Should he ever lose and be tossed out, he will devote his entire being to training and fight his way back into the pride.
Any plot ideas:
As far as plots, I'd like to have him try in his youth to impress the lioness' in the pride, with a crisis point or two that push him to grow stronger. I'd also like him start battling early on, that way he truly is "Raised" to be a warrior. And eventually have him mate with a lioness, and raise his male cubs to be perfect warriors. >D

Name: Abrafo
Meaning: African Ghanaian name meaning warrior or executioner Originally, it was a nickname for a troublemaker or someone who is hyper.
Personality: Abrafo was raised to understand the idea of being a warrior. He sees his mother in a loving light but wants to make his father proud. A very huge daddy's boy in sorts. He would try and prove himself to the pack but most of all to his father so he tries very hard to live up to his name, warrior.
Any plot ideas:
*As far as plots go I'd like to maybe have him loose his fight originally and be outed from the pack. Giving him a "I failed father" type of outlook. One that brings him closer to his mother. Which in turn would bring him closer to his true potential of being a rightful member of the pride. Learning that fighting to make some one else proud doesn't negate the need to make himself proud first.
