I may not buy a new rifle now. Ruger announced they're selling the full upper receivers for the SR556 rifles, including the short barrel .223 carbine and 6.8 SPC! Now I can has 3 rifles for the price of 2!
If I do as well as I expect this month, I may swing a new pistol in .40 S&W, but don't know from which maker yet. It's down to the Ruger SR40 or a used H&K in the same price range.
Depending on whether I get a job, either that AR-7 I still want, or an Ithaca. The 870's more popular, but with the Ithaca I don't have to go hunting for a left-handed shotgun (though I doubt it's that hard to find a southpaw Remington).
While I'll be deploying, I do plan to arrange with my FFL to order me a DSA FAL, maybe built off an Imbel kit, about mid-deployment. I'll easily have enough by then. I'll make sure he orders me tons of magazines and ammo to go with it.

If all things go well, I'll be ordering a Marlin 336C this Friday, and I think I've decided on a Makarov PM to be my carry gun, which I'll send out for on the day I turn 21, in July. But I might be moving to Texas and rooming with a couple people I know, so I'll have to start actually paying bills and supporting myself. So the gun buying will be pretty limited then. That in mind, I'll end up with a WASR-10 eventually. Maybe this year, maybe not. I mean they're not that expensive. And one day in the future, some time after that, a 1911 of some sort. Here's hoping. biggrin
