Cealdia made her way across a log, remembering the last time she encountered one. She eyed it carefully. Still, Cealdia wasn't use to the new name she had been told to give to herself. It was strange when saying it, her tongue felt foreign, yet it felt right at the same time. "Kurogoke" She said to herself as she past over the log. She had to get use to going by it too. Which in itself was hard enough. But, that was another thing. She'd do well.
She loved it here, loved it too much to leave. So she best get it down. "I'm Kurogoke." She repeated to herself. Though, was probably a lot louder then she wanted it to be. "Kurogoke." She said again, this time more silent. Yes, that would do it. That's how she'd introduce herself, "The name's Kurogoke" She giggled at herself. That sounded a little lame, she wouldn't be using that. She figured she was pretty much alone. But then again, you could never really tell. She was probably being watched, and being called stupid or silly as she spoke her new name. It wasn't something she could help, though.
Her tail swished as she jumped up on a rock that was in her path. Moss had grown on it may days before she even came here, she figured. It was green, brown, with bits of gray from the original said of the rock. The moss had now mostly covered the rock. It was interesting how something alive like moss could live so easily on something like a rock. It was hard, and had no real importance to it. At least not to Kurogoke. They only served as a resting place if she so happened to choose to lay on it, like this moment. Though, she was sitting on it now, not resting. The squishy wet moss was under her. It was almost disgusting feeling, yet pleasant at the same time.

The female had left her den of cubs for the day, in an effort to do something for herself for once. She was tired of being cooped up all the time. Life made her happy, so far things were turning around for the best. A mate that loved her, a family that she adored, she supposed things couldnt be much better. The day was warm, though the sun shone through the trees as much as it could. Shadows were common in the Swamplands, as the sun sometimes didnt peak through as much as others would have liked. She didnt mind it though, it was always quite humid, but it was safe. She felt far less vulnerable here than she had as a rogue.
Expecting to be alone, she hadnt really been planning on conversing with anyone. She wasnt really in the mood to do so either, though she knew that it wasnt in her nature to turn anyone away. As much as this was her quiet time, she'd still use it to her advantage.
'Im Kurogoke', She heard, and her ears perked. She looked around with magenta colored eyes to see where the source had come from.
Didnt take her long however to see the grey lioness who was walking along the logs and moss. She smiled. Well at least if anyone was going to be here, it was another female. She felt more comfortable with that. Taking a deep breath, she began walking over to the femme. Her own paws sinking in the slick moss that squished beneath her paws.
"Hello!"

Cealdia jumped at the sound of another. It frightened her for a moment. Her heart sped up and she looked around wildly for a moment before her eyes came upon another. It was another lioness, a female. Which was a little better. She was shy, pretty shy when meeting new faces. Especially if they were male. She hated looking like a complete idiot in front of males. She gave a small smile to the other.
"Hello" she said in a quiet tone then she had been when talking to herself. Oh god, did she hear her talking to herself? She felt her temperature rising from being embarrassed. How could she let that happen? Then again, she figured at least someone was watching her. At least it was a female, and not a male. That made things slightly better. She didn't like to be teased, but she knew that's what would happen. Or that's what happened in the past before she had come here. "How are you?" She asked trying to keep things light and not uncomfortable.

She saw her jump, and instantly felt bad. She should have known better than to jump out at another. She cursed herself, her eyes taking on an apologetic gaze. She hoped she hadnt offended the grey female. She wasnt very good at being social, after all the lioness had grown up on her own as a rogue. But she figured this was a good way to branch out..Maybe meet a friend, or at least know who to avoid if the meeting didnt go very well.
"You're Kurogoke, arent you?" She asked, bowing her head in greeting a bit. She supposd she -was- jumping the gun. But hadnt that been what the she had said? She tried to let the nervousness roll off of her with a shrug, and then smiled.
"I'm good.. Thank you for asking. My name is Kimama." She said in greeting, proud of the name that her mate had given her once she had joined these lands.
"How are you?"

"H-how did you know?" She asked the other amazed that she knew her name. Then again, She had been talking to herself. Oh no! The lioness saw her talking to herself, she must think she's crazy. She let a small gasp come up as she quickly looked away. Her face was beginning to feel warm very fast. "I.... I.....You.... You heard me talk to myself?"
Though, she didn't seem to think she was crazy. She wasn't laughing at her. No.... She was trying to start up a conversation. She looked at the lioness who called herself Kimama. What a pretty name! "Nice to meet you Kimama." She said with a weak smile. "I.... I'm fine."

She didnt want the other to know that she had indeed heard her talk to herself. She gulped, but fluidly a smile broke onto her maw and she shook her head, her eyes soft.'
"I saw you join, its okay, I didnt see anything." She purred, hoping that would make the other female more comfortable when it came to talking to her. She was obviously nervous, and she reminded Kimama alot of what she had been like when she had first joined. She had been all alone, and it had been a rather intimidating idea.
"Pleasure is mine. Are you very new to these lands?" She asked.

Something made her uneasy about that reply. Then again, she couldn't confirm nor deny if the other had been there. There were many lions and lionesses that she had seen since she had come here. Which was perfectly fine with her. She liked quiet, but she liked being around others more. She watched the other carefully not sure how to really answer that. It was obvious that she was new, that was for sure.
"A little bit." She said She had been in the lands for a week or two before actually wanting to join. Watching and observing, and making sure that the pride had known she was there. She didn't want them to think she was some type of threat, after all.

She tried to ease the others mind, but she was failing miserably. She smiled, and nodded. Yes she had assumed as much. She was new to the lands. That made Kimama relax more.
"Everyones really kind here. Im not so old here myself. I met my mate here, and so that was one of the reasons I joined. You might even run into one of my little runts around here somewhere, Im sure." She said lovingly. Obviously runt was more a term of endearment, as she loved her children more than anything.

She wasn't sure what the other meant by runt. She didn't ask about it. maybe it was her siblings, or perhaps kids? She didn't know She smiled at the other kindly. "It's just hard to get to know others" She said sweetly. "I actually followed someone here." She blushed slightly. The male had been very kind to her and he was really handsome. Though, since she had arrived here with him, she hadn't seen him. She wondered where he had wondered off too. Of course, it was probably because of something she didn't quite understand yet. But was looking forward to finding out.
"I was just exploring the area' She told the other. She wanted to make sure she knew the lands in which she was to stay, by heart. Then she wouldn't get lost... Or she'd hope that she wouldn't get lost. Kurogoke was good at getting herself lost. Even in the easiest to find areas. She had to find someone who'd be able to help her and keep her from getting lost. But for now, she'd just have to manage on her own.

It took alot of work to learn the lands. There were all sorts of twists and turns, and most of the swamps looked familiar. It took real effort, and so she felt for the female. But she knew it was possible, especially if one was okay with the work. She liked how their stories were similar, and she smiled warmly. She always loved a good love story!
"You did? Did it work out?" She asked curiously, cocking her head as she did. She was a very curious female, though sometimes she worried about pushing others boundaries. Some just were rather touchy on certain subjects.

She looked to her feet then back at the other. "Well, he invited me to come here." She said with a shrug. "So I think it worked out?" Not really sure what she was asking towards that. She was here wasn't she? She smiled at the other, trying to hide any possible embarrassment that was creeping up in her.
"I like exploring here though" She added with a small chuckle. She looked around the area, then back at her. Even if it was hard to find good spots to remember, it was a fun adventure just looking around. She'd never been in this type of land before. It interested her.

Before the Swamplands of this pride, Kimama had never even seen swamps before. It had been kind of a culture shock when she had joined but she had settled in rather well. Everyone had been very welcoming, and she was trying to make friends. Though she was realizing from her conversation with Kuro, that maybe she wasnt as good at making friends as she thought.
"You never know what youre going to find." She said when she spoke of enjoying exploring the pridelands. She seemed to have alot in common with Kimama.
"I'm not keeping you from anything am I? Im sorry if I am. Rim says sometimes I just talk way too much." She chuckled embarrassed.

That was true; she had found many things that had surprised her, and she had never expected to see them. She smiled kindly at the other, who had shown nothing but kindness. It was grand to find someone so nice, especially when you were new. She'd never been to a place as warming as this.
"No, I don't think you are." She said; trying to remember if she had somewhere else to be. She was forgetful sometimes, and didn't know if she had to be anywhere. At least, she didn't think she did.

"Well, I'm glad for that. I'd hate to make a bad first impression. I have to be getting back to my cubs before they come searching for me. Odds are they would go and get lost and Id have a world of trouble at my door." She chuckled, nodding her head.
"It was a pleasure to meet you Kurogoke. I'll look out for you so that we can chat again sometime." She said pleasantly, smiling. She rather liked this girl, even if she was far quieter than her. She supposed that left room for herself to talk anyway.
She smiled again, turning to face the direction of home and sighed. She was excited for her cubs to grow, so she didn't have to leave potential friends all the time.

Kurogoke nodded at the other, it was nice to make friends. She wondered if they actually would talk again. It was sad to run into someone nice and never meet up with them again. Of course, she normally didn't give anyone the chance to actually get to know her too well. "I would feel terrible if that happened' It would, after all, be her fault if Kimama had lost her cubs. She'd never forgive herself then.
"The pleasure was mine" she said in a timid voice. She just stood as she watched the other walk away, not moving until the other was fully on her way. She would have to find someone else to pass her time and learn more of this land.
