This guy was a Muslim, maybe not Middle Eastern, but a convert to Islam... Given the fact that he was just a normal man traveling to Detroit from California, Its understandable that he slipped under the radar. However, he did get noticed when he started spouting off threats about driving a bomb in front of the biggest mosque.
simply put, its recent, and the media has not had enough time to digest it. Anyone who tries to put a bomb where innocent civilians gather is a monster, end of the line, no exceptions.
